BACKGROUND Typ. 2 diabetes(T2D)is a metabolic disease of imp.ired glucose utilization and a maj.r cause of cardiovascular disease(CVD).The p.thogenesis of both diseases shares common risk factors and mechanisms,and both are significant contributors to global morbidity and *** of natural p.oducts for T2D mellitus(T2DM)and CVD can be seen as a p.tential p.eventive and effective therap.utic *** To critically evaluate the therap.utic p.tential of natural p.oducts in T2D and coronary artery disease(CAD).METHODS By using sp.cific keywords,we strategically searched the p.bMed *** controlled trials(RCTs)were searched as the p.imary focus that examined the effect of natural p.oducts on glycemic control,oxidative stress,and antioxidant *** focused on outcomes such as low blood glucose levels,adj.stment on markers of oxidative stress and *** screening fulllength p.p.rs,we included 9 RCTs in our review that met our inclusion *** In the literature search on the database,we found that various natural p.oducts like p.ant secondary metabolites p.ay a diverse role in the management of *** ginseng,sesame oil and cocoa flavanols p.oved effective in lowering blood glucose levels and controlling blood p.essure,which are key factors in managing T2DM and *** diabetic p.tients Melissa officinalis effectively reduce inflammation and shows diabetes *** fish oil and flaxseed oil reduced insulin levels and inflammatory markers,suggesting benefits for both *** lip.d p.ofile and endothelial function were enhanced by Nigella sativa oil and Terminalia chebula,which is significant for the management of cardiovascular risk factors in *** Bilberry extract also showed p.omise for imp.oving glycemic control in p.tients with *** The high level of antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,and anti-angiogenic p.op.rties found in natural p.oducts makes them p.omising therap.utic op.

Hydrous Cr-bearing uvarovite garnets are rare in natural occurrences and belong to the ugrandite series and exist in binary solid solutions with grossular and andradite garnets. Here, we rep.rt the occurrence of hydrous uvarovite garnet having Cr_(2)O_(3) up.o 19.66 wt% and CaO of 32.12–35.14 wt% in the serp.ntinized mantle p.ridotites of Naga Hills Op.iolite(NHO), India. They occur in association with low-Cr diop.ides. They are enriched in LILE(Ba, Sr), LREEs, with fractionating LREE-MREE [avg.(La/Sm)_(N) = 2.16] with flat MREE/HREE p.tterns [avg.(Sm/Yb)_(N) = 0.95]. Raman sp.ctra indicate the p.esence of hydroxyl(OH^(–)) p.aks from 3500 to 3700 cm^(-1). Relative abundances in fluid mobile elements and their close association with clinop.roxenes are suggestive of the formation of uvarovite garnets through low temp.rature metasomatic alteration of low-Cr diop.ides by hydrothermal slab fluids. The high LREE concentration and absence of Eu anomaly in the garnet further attest to alkaline nature of the transp.rting slab dehydrated fluid rather the involvement of low-p.H solution. The chemical characteristics of the hydroxyl bearing uvarovite hosted by the mantle p.ridotite of NHO deviate from the classical features of uvarovite garnet, and their origin is attributed to the fluid-induced metasomatism of the sub arc mantle wedge in a sup.asubduction zone regime.

Individuals with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)have been rep.rted to be at an increased risk of infertility and sexual *** the relationship.between them remains unclear,IBD severity is susp.cted to affect hormone levels and *** analyze the imp.ct of IBD severity on semen p.rameters and sex hormone levels in ulcerative colitis-typ. Lithium-oxygen batteries are a p.omising technology because they can greatly surp.ss the energy density of lithium-ion ***,this theoretical characteristic has not yet been converted into a real device with high *** with air contamination,metallic lithium reactivity,and comp.ex discharge and charge reactions are the main issues for this technology.A fast and reversible oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is crucial for good p.rformance of secondary batteries',but the p.rtial knowledge of its mechanisms,esp.cially when devices are concerned,hinders further *** this p.rsp.ctive,the p.esent work uses op.rando Raman exp.riments and electrochemical imp.dance sp.ctroscop.(EIS)to assess the first stages of the discharge p.ocesses in p.rous carbon electrodes,following their changes cycle by cycle at initial op.ration.A growth kinetic formation of the discharge p.oduct signal(Li_(2)O_(2))was observed with op.rando Raman,indicating a first-order reaction and enabling an analysis by a microkinetic *** solution mechanism in the evaluated system was ascribed for an equivalent circuit with three time *** the time constant for the anode interface reveals to remain relatively constant after the first discharge,its surface seemed to be more *** model indicated that the reaction occurs at the Li_(2)O_(2) surface,decreasing the associated resistance during the initial discharge ***,the growth of Li_(2)O_(2) forms a hetero-p.ase between Li_(2)O_(2)/electrolyte,while creating a more comp.ct and homogeneous on the Li_(2)O_(2)/cathode *** methodology here described thus offers a way of directly p.obing changes in surface chemistry evolution during cycling from a device through EIS analysis.

Effect of stress-dep.ndent microannulus ap.rture on well leakage

Debonding at the cement-casing interface is recognized as a p.incip.l failure mechanism leading to CO_(2) leakage in *** detachment gives rise to a microannulus,which notably p.ssesses greater p.rmeability than undamaged cement,undermining its sealing ***,the p.rmeability of the microannulus is regarded as a uniform value throughout the ***,fundamentally,a microannulus is one typ. of fracture,and its gap.or ap.rture size is affected by the effective *** this work,we develop.d a unique exp.rimental *** equip.ent facilitates the curing of cement inside a steel casing,the formation of a microannulus between the casing and the cement,and the investigation of the fluid flow dynamics along the microannulus under laboratory-rep.icated in situ *** microannulus was formed by inj.cting fluid from one end of the setup.and receiving similar amount of fluid on the other end signified the develop.ent of the leakage ***,strain gauges affixed to the casing’s external surface yielded key information on the microannulus’s op.ning and *** observed a noticeable decline in microannulus hydraulic ap.rture(or p.rmeability)in relation to effective stress and an exp.nential equation fits their *** findings also indicate a distinct behavior when comp.ring liquid CO_(2) with ***,it is easier for liquid CO_(2) to create the ***,the hydraulic ap.rture range for this microannulus(0.7-6 mm)is considerably smaller than that created by water flow(2-17 mm).Finally,we integrated the stressdep.ndent microannulus ap.rture size into the combined analysis of well mechanical integrity and well *** outcomes consistently demonstrated that when factoring in the stress-dep.ndent ap.rture sizes,the leakage rates are 3e5 times comp.red to a fixed ap.rture *** traditional assump.ion of a constant ap.rture significantly underestimates fluid leakage risks.

The recovery of yttrium is p.op.sed by ap.lying a solid-liquid extraction p.ocess using di-2-ethyl hexylp.osp.oric acid(D2EHp.) as extracting *** extracting agents were sup.orted on a macro p.rous p.lymeric resin XAD-7(solid p.ase).Yttrium ions extraction and discharge tests were p.rformed,firstly from a synthetic aqueous solution of 100 mg/L Y(liquid p.ase) at 25℃ with *** effects of p. of aqueous solutions bearing yttrium,volume fraction of extracting agents and the solid/liquid(S/L)ratio on the yttrium recovery were *** most favorable conditions for yttrium ions extraction are;20 vol% D_(2)EHp. functionalized resin,p.=1.5 and an S/L ratio of 10 mg/mL The discharge of yttrium ions was done under the same conditions of extraction stage,using a 2 mol/L [H_(2)SO_(4)] as strip.ing *** to 80% yttrium is extracted,while 75% yttrium is recovered in the strip.ng *** all exp.riments,the reaction equilibrium is reached after 20 min,and the kinetics for the extraction stage was determined as a second-order ***,exp.riments were carried out to discharge the yttriumloaded resins,and it has been determined that the best p. value to strip.the Y ions is *** tests of extraction and discharge for yttrium ions show that the functionalized resin can work at least five cycles without decreasing its ***,the p.op.sed p.ocess was tested in a real solution with Y ions fro m a waste fluorescent la mp.p.wder leached in H_(2)SO_(4),demonstrating the ability to effectively recover yttrium,sep.rating it from various metals from the studied residue.

Global images of auroras obtained by cameras on sp.cecraft are a key tool for studying the near-Earth ***,the cameras are sensitive not only to auroral emissions p.oduced by p.ecip.tating p.rticles,but also to dayglow emissions p.oduced by p.otoelectrons induced by *** emissions and scattered sunlight can contribute to the background *** fully utilize such images in sp.ce science,background contamination must be removed to isolate the auroral *** we outline a data-driven ap.roach to modeling the background intensity in multip.e images by formulating linear inverse p.oblems based on B-sp.ines and sp.erical *** ap.roach is robust,flexible,and iteratively deselects outliers,such as auroral *** final model is smooth across the terminator and accounts for slow temp.ral variations and large-scale asymmetries in the *** demonstrate the model by using the three far ultraviolet cameras on the Imager for Magnetop.use-to-Aurora Global Exp.oration(IMAGE)*** method can be ap.lied to historical missions and is relevant for up.oming missions,such as the Solar wind Magnetosp.ere Ionosp.ere Link Exp.orer(SMILE)mission.
