The poor corrosion and wear resistances of m. al.oys seriousl. l.m.t their potential.appl.cations in various *** conventional.epoxy coating easil. form. m.ny intrinsic defects during the sol.dification process,which cannot provide sufficient *** the current study,we design a doubl.-l.yer epoxy com.osite coating on m. al.oy with enhanced anti-corrosion/wear properties,via the spin-assisted assem.l. *** outer l.yer is functional.zed graphene(FG)in waterborne epoxy resin(WEP)and the inner l.yer is Ce-based conversion(Ce)*** FG sheets can be hom.geneousl. dispersed within the epoxy m.trix to fil. the intrinsic defects and im.rove the barrier *** Ce fil. connects the outer l.yer with the substrate,showing the transition *** corrosion rate of Ce/WEP/FG com.osite coating is 2131 tim.s l.wer than that of bare m. al.oy,and the wear rate is decreased by~90%.The im.roved corrosion resistance is attributed to the l.byrinth effect(hindering the penetration of corrosive m.dium.and the obstruction of gal.anic coupl.ng *** synergistic effect derived from.the FG sheet and bl.cking l.yer exhibits great potential.in real.zing the im.rovem.nt of m.l.i-functional.integration,which wil. open up a new avenue for the devel.pm.nt of novel.com.osite protection coatings of m. al.oys.

The el.ctrochem.cal.CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR) to control.abl. chem.cal. is considered as a prom.sing pathway to store interm.ttent renewabl. energy. Herein, a set of catal.sts based on copper-nitrogendoped carbon xerogel.Cu-n-C) are successful.y devel.ped varying the copper am.unt and the nature of the copper precursor, for the efficient CO_(2)RR. The el.ctrocatal.tic perform.nce of Cu-n-C m.terial. is assessed by a rotating ring-disc el.ctrode(RRDE), technique stil. rarel. expl.red for CO_(2)RR. For com.arison, products are al.o characterized by onl.ne gas chrom.tography in a H-cel.. The as-synthesized Cu-nC catal.sts are found to be active and highl. CO sel.ctive at l.w overpotential.(from.-0.6 to -0.8 V ***) in 0.1 m.KHCO_(3), whil. H_(2) from.the com.etitive water reduction appears at l.rger overpotential.(-0.9 V vs. RHE). The optim.m.copper acetate-derived catal.st containing Cu-n_(4) m.ieties exhibits a CO_(2)-to-CO turnover frequency of 997 h^(-1) at -0.9 V vs. RHE with a H_(2)/CO ratio of 1.8. These resul.s dem.nstrate that RRDE configuration can be used as a feasibl. approach for identifying el.ctrol.sis products from.CO_(2)RR.

YIKI is an antim.l.rial.phytom.dicine used by a traditional.heal.r to treat m.l.ria in Bobo-Dioul.sso. However, there is no scientific evidence to support its use by l.cal.popul.tions. The aim.of this study was to identify the m.dicinal.practices of the heal.r hol.er of YIKI and assess the cl.nical.evidence of its phytom.dicine in the uncom.l.cated m.l.ria treatm.nt. Ethnom.dical.survey based on a sem.-structured and open questionnaire was conducted from.October to Decem.er 2019 with the heal.r. m.l.ria knowl.dge and diagnosis m.thods, patient treatm.nt and m.nitoring, and recipe form.l.tion steps were surveyed. m.reover, thick and thin bl.od sm.ars were taken, haem.gl.bin l.vel. and tem.erature of consenting patients were m.asured before treatm.nt, m.d-treatm.nt and at the end of treatm.nt. The survey reveal.d that the heal.r has a good knowl.dge of m.l.ria sym.tom. and his diagnosis is based on observation and physical.exam.nation of patients. The heal.r’s m.l.ria diagnosis was rudim.ntary and had accuracy probl.m., with onl. 62.79% of m.l.ria cases confirm.d by m.croscopy. The form.l.tion of YIKI and its use to treat m.l.ria fol.ow a standard process for pl.nt harvesting, powder quantities and posol.gy, but do not use any reproducibl. param.ters for dose adj.stm.nt. Forty-three patients diagnosed and treated by the heal.r participated in the study. l.boratory resul.s reveal.d 27 Pl.sm.dium.fal.iparum.infection cases, incl.ding 2 with parasitaem.a ≥ 200,000 p/µl.bl.od. 25 patients were sel.cted for therapeutic evidence assessm.nt. There was a 48% el.m.nation of parasites, a 28% parasitaem.a decrease without com.l.te cure, with gam.tocytogenesis in som. patients, and a 24% parasitaem.a increase. Haem.gl.bin and tem.erature resul.s suggested that YIKI was not cytotoxic and reduced fever. Encouraging prel.m.nary resul.s have been obtained, but in view of the l.w num.er of patients, further YIKI efficacy and toxicity studies wil. be necessary for patient safety.

When data privacy is im.osed as a necessity,Federated l.arning(Fl.em.rges as a rel.vant artificial.intel.igence fiel. for devel.ping m.chine l.arning(m.0}m.del. in a distributed and decentral.zed *** al.ows m.0}m.del. to be trained on l.cal.devices without any need for central.zed data transfer,thereby reducing both the exposure of sensitive data and the possibil.ty of data interception by m.l.cious third *** paradigm.has gained m.m.ntum.in the l.st few years,spurred by the pl.thora of real.worl. appl.cations that have l.veraged its abil.ty to im.rove the efficiency of distributed l.arning and to accom.odate num.rous participants with their data *** virtue of Fl.m.del. can be l.arned from.al. such distributed data sources whil. preserving data *** aim.of this paper is to provide a practical.tutorial.on Fl.incl.ding a short m.thodol.gy and a system.tic anal.sis of existing software ***,our tutorial.provides exem.l.ry cases of study from.three com.l.m.ntary perspectives:i)Foundations of Fl.describing the m.in com.onents of Fl.from.key el.m.nts to Fl.categories;ii)Im.l.m.ntation guidel.nes and exem.l.ry cases of study,by system.tical.y exam.ning the functional.ties provided by existing software fram.works for Fl.depl.ym.nt,devising a m.thodol.gy to design a Fl.scenario,and providing exem.l.ry cases of study with source code for different m.0}approaches;and iii)Trends,shortl. reviewing a non-exhaustive l.st of research directions that are under active investigation in the current Fl.*** ul.im.te purpose of this work is to establ.sh itsel. as a referential.work for researchers,devel.pers,and data scientists wil.ing to expl.re the capabil.ties of Fl.in practical.appl.cations.
