The stationary lumped-cell model was developed and used to simulate the thermal characteristics of domestic biomass boiler with helically coiled tube heat exchanger(HCHE).The device serves as the heat source for ORC(Organic Rankine Cycle)unit and utilizes the thermal oil as the medium transferring the heat to the *** of studies available in the literature refer to the CFD simulations for water flow in tube coils or in one-or two-turn coil *** investigations are basically focused on the determination of Nusselt *** proposed herein model aims at determining the thermal performance of flue gas-oil HCHE while providing low CPU *** demonstrate the model possibilities,it was used to predict the flue gas temperatures at the inlet and outlet from the heat exchange zone,based on measurement data regarding the outlet temperature of thermal *** test series were *** computation results appeared to be in satisfactory agreement with experimental results(the discrepancies do not exceed 12%).The investigations showed that the used approach may be recommended as an alternative method that allows for fast prediction of thermal parameters for units of complex geometries,in particular the multi-coil heat exchangers.

The results of research on the effects of anions on the biosorption of microelement cations by the edible marine macroalga Enteromorpha prolifera in singleand multi-metal systems are discussed in this paper. It was shown that the maximum biosorption capacity (qmax) in a single-metal system of Co(II) ions decreased in the following sequence: Cl- (46.0 mg g-1) > SO42- (42.8 mg g-1) > NO3- (41.9 mg g-1). In multi-metal systems, in which the ratios of Cl-, NO3-, and SO42- were 0:0:4, 1:1:2, 3:0:1, and 4:0:0, there were clear differences among the biosorption capacities. In all the examined systems (other than the 0:0:4 system), inhibition of the binding of microelement cations by the macroalga was observed. In all the systems, the highest value of qmax was obtained for Cu(II) cations; the value ranged from 31.9 mg g-1 in 0:0:4 (SO42- only) to 18.2 mg g-1 in 4:0:0 (Cl-only).

Artificial catalytic synthesis of ammonia has become a hot research frontier in recent *** is regarded as a promising approach that may replace the Haber-Bosch process and reduce global carbon dioxide ***,it is extremely difficult for the cleavage of nitrogen molecules under ambient *** the ammonia yield rate is still low and the study is still limited in lab *** nitrites or nitrates are used as nitrogen sources,rather than nitrogen gas,the catalytic efficiency can be significantly improved,and the residual nitrate and nitrite contaminations in water systems can be efficiently eliminated and converted to energy sources at the same *** is an emerging alternative for artificial ammonia synthesis,while there is not enough focus on the reduction of nitrate and ***,we systematically compared the differences between the reduction of nitrogen and nitrates,as well as listed the challenges in this *** total conversion rate and energy efficiency of catalytic nitrate reduction are much higher than nitrogen gas reduction due to the much higher solubility and better converting pathway,which might be further enhanced by employing catalysts improvement ***,we also proposed suitable materials as well as a few future researches needs that may help boost the development of artificial ammonia synthesis using nitrate.

3D super-resolution microscopy with nanometric resolution is a key to fully complement ultrastructural techniques with fluorescence ***,we achieve 3D super-resolution by combining the 2D localization of pMINFLUX with the axial information of graphene energy transfer(GET)and the single-molecule switching by *** demonstrate≤2 nm localization precision in all 3 dimension with axial precision reaching below 0.3 *** 3D DNA-PAINT measurements,structural features,i.e.,individual docking strands at distances of 3 nm,are directly resolved on DNA origami *** and GET represent a particular synergetic combination for super-resolution imaging near the surface such as for cell adhesion and membrane complexes as the information of each photon is used for both 2D and axial localization ***,we introduce local PAINT(L-PAINT),in which DNA-PAINT imager strands are equipped with an additional binding sequence for local upconcentration improving signal-to-background ratio and imaging speed of local clusters.L-PAINT is demonstrated by imaging a triangular structure with 6 nm side lengths within seconds.

Colorectal cancer(CRC)is a leading cause of human mortality *** conventional anticancer therapy not always being effective,there is growing interest in innovative“drug-free”cancer treatments or interventions that improve the efficacy of established *** is associated with microbiome alterations,a process known as dysbiosis that involves depletion and/or enrichment of particular gut bacterial species and their metabolic *** patient treatment with traditional probiotics(with or without prebiotics),nextgeneration probiotics(NGP),or postbiotics represents a potentially effective and accessible complementary anticancer strategy by restoring gut microbiota composition and/or by signaling to the *** this capacity,restoration of the gut microbiota in cancer patients can stabilize and enhance intestinal barrier function,as well as promote anticarcinogenic,anti-inflammatory,antimutagenic or other biologically important biochemical pathways that show high specificity towards tumor *** benefits of traditional probiotics,NGP,and postbiotics include modulating gut microbiota composition and function,as well as the host inflammatory *** application in CRC prevention is highlighted in this review,where we consider supportive in vitro,animal,and clinical *** on emerging research,NGP and postbiotics hold promise in establishing innovative treatments for CRC by conferring physiological functions via the production of dominant natural products and metabolites that provide new host-microbiota signals to combat *** favorable results have been reported,further investigations focusing on strain and dose specificity are required to ensure the efficacy and safety of traditional probiotics,NGP,and postbiotics in CRC prevention and treatment.

Geodashboards are often designed with explanatory elements guiding *** elements(*** or annotations)need to be carefully designed to mitigate split attention or information integration *** this paper,we report expert interviews followed by a controlled experiment where we compare two interface designs with a focus on the split attention effect:(1)a multiple-legend layout with explanatory elements located next to each view,and(2)a single-legend layout with all explanatory elements gathered in one *** legend layouts did not affect the performance,but affected user satisfaction.75%of the participants preferred the multiple-legend layout,and rated it with a higher usability score,mainly attributing this preference to the proximity of legend elements to the view of *** tracking data strongly and clearly verifies that participants indeed make use of the proximity:With the single-legend,the majority of eye-movement transitions were between the single-legend and the closest view to the legend,whereas with multiple-legend participants have shorter and more frequent legend visits,as well as more transitions between legends and *** together,the design lesson we learned from this experiment can be summarized as‘split the legend elements,but make it close to the explained elements’.

High-quality wide-angle holographic content is at the heart of the success of near-eye display *** work proposes the first digital holographic(DH)system enabling recording wide-angle scenes assembled from objects larger than the setup field of view(FOV),which can be directly replayed without 3D deformation in the near-eye *** hologram formation in the DH system comprises free space propagation and Fourier transform(FT),which are connected by a rectangular ***,the object wave propagates in free space to the rectangular ***,the band-limited wavefield is propagated through the single lens toward the camera *** rectangular aperture can take two sizes,depending on which DH operates in off-axis or phase-shifting recording *** integral part of the DH solution is a numerical reconstruction algorithm consisting of two elements:fringe processing for object wave recovery and wide-angle propagation to the object *** second element simulates propagation through both parts of the experimental *** free space part is a space-limited angular spectrum compact space algorithm,while for propagation through the lens,the piecewise FT algorithm with Petzval curvature compensation is *** the experimental part of the paper,we present the wide-angle DH system with FOV25°×19°,which allows high-quality recording and reconstruction of large complex scenes.

The objective of the article is identification of similarities in behavior and work attitude toward remote working in times of COVID-19 *** is concerned on employees of creative employees from different countries and business *** author conducted research on Polish and American creative specialists,including software *** conducted for this article in the first stage was qualitative,and in the second stage is based on quantitative methodology and secondary data from American *** qualitative research conducted in Poland and was based on unstructured interviews with open-ended questions in the form of self-report concerning workflows during remote *** first stage can be used as the starting point to next research of creative specialists from other *** quantitative research is based on secondary data from a study conducted among American employees of Microsoft *** was research made in the form of survey during COVID-19 pandemic(March-May 2020).The conclusions from each of the stages of research were used to create universal conclusions in the form of gathered key similarities and differences in behavior and wellbeing of creative specialist from different countries during remote *** analysis included Industry 4.0 perspective-like market needs(*** innovation which require a combination of creativity and technical skills)or condition of constant *** research and analysis also reveals the potential for future research in the other countries and business sectors.
