Mindfulness interventions during pregnancy:A narrative review

Pregnancy is a period of major transformations in a woman’s life;increased stress,and mood and sleep disorders are *** review evaluates mindfulness interventions during pregnancy and their ability to help manage stress,anxiety,depression,emotional regulation,level of mindfulness and sleep quality.A search of English language scientific literature relevant to mindfulness interventions for pregnant women was conducted using PubMed,Scopus and Web of Science,without restriction on publication *** criteria were randomized clinical trials with pregnant women,using mindfulness as an intervention for at least three weeks,in one of our main areas of interest,and using only validated scales to measure *** hundred and thirty studies were identified in our searches of research databases,and thirteen were included in our *** found a large diversity of mindfulness programs,heterogeneity among the instruments used to evaluate outcomes,and inconsistency in the gestational periods used in the *** interventions were beneficial for stress,anxiety and *** was also effective when applied in pregnant women with a history of depression or experiencing *** emotional regulation and the level of mindfulness,there were signs of improvement,but more studies are *** of the studies evaluated sleep *** review provides information about current mindfulness programs,an overview of the effects of mindfulness interventions,a description of the measurements used so far,and recommendations for developing highquality mindfulness protocols for pregnant women.

Catalytic hydrodechlorination(HDC)is an innovative means of transforming chlorinated waste streams into a recyclable product. In this study,the gas phase HDC of chlorobenzene(CB)has been studied over bulk Pd and Ni and((8±1)wt%)Pd and Ni supported on activated carbon(AC),graphite,graphitic nanofibers(GNF),Al2O3,and *** activation was examined by temperature-programmed reduction(TPR)analysis and the activated catalysts characterized in terms of BET area,transmission electron microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,H2 chemisorption/temperature-programmed desorption,and X-ray diffraction *** surface area(1-19 m 2 /g), TPR,and H2 uptake/release exhibited a dependence on both metal and *** Pd system delivered specific HDC rates that were up to three orders of magnitude greater than that recorded for the Ni catalysts,a result that we link to the higher H2 diffusivity in *** was 100%selective over Ni while Pd also produced cyclohexane(selectivity<4%)as a result of a combined HDC/*** Pd outperformed carbon supported Pd but was less active than Pd on the oxide *** contrast,unsupported Ni presented no measurable activity when compared with supported *** specific HDC rate was found to increase with decreasing metal surface area where spillover hydrogen served to enhance HDC performance.

The existence of multigenic families in the mevalonate pathway suggests divergent functional roles for pathway components involved in the biosynthesis of plant sterols. Squalene epoxidases （SQEs） are key components of this pathway, and Squalene Epoxidase 1 （SQE1） has been identified as a fundamental enzyme in this biosynthetic step. In the present work, we extended the characterization of the remaining SQE family members, phylogenetically resolving between true SQEs and a subfamily of SQE-like proteins that is exclusive to Brassicaceae. Functional characterization of true SQE family members, Squalene Epox- idase 2 （SQE2） and Squalene Epoxidase 3 （SQE3）, indicates that SQE3, but not SQE2, contributes to the bulk SQE activity in Arabidopsis, with sqe3-1 mutants accumulating squalene and displaying sensitivity to ter- binafine. We genetically demonstrated that SQE3 seems to play a particularly significant role in embryo development. Also, SQE1 and SQE3 both localize in the endoplasmic reticulum, and SQE3 can functionally complement SQEI. Thus, SQE1 and SQE3 seem to be two functionally unequal redundant genes in the pro- motion of plant SQE activity in Arabidopsis.

In this paper,we analyze the relationships among innovation efforts,the impacts of these innovations,and the financial performance of Brazilian *** hypothesize that innovation efforts do not directly translate into financial *** to the inherent uncertainty of innovative projects,such efforts must first lead to effective innovation results or impacts before they are capable of contributing to a company's financial *** the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics'(IBGE)comprehensive official databases on innovation and performance,we study 5,025 firms using exploratory factor analysis and structural equation *** results suggest that efforts in innovation possibly generate impacts;however,these impacts do not necessarily imply better financial ***,although firms'efforts may lead to new products,they will not contribute to financial gains in the short term,reflecting the risky and costly nature of *** study aims to contribute to the discussion on firm-level impacts of innovation from the context of a large developing country,since empirical results of the literature are mixed.

Dietary glutamine,glutamic acid and nucleotide supplementation accelerate carbon turnover(δ^(13)C)on stomach of weaned piglets

The use of stable isotope analysis as a tool for characterization of carbon turnover(δ^(13)C) in piglet's tissues by tracing its feeding system has drawn attention. Thus, this study aimed at evaluating the influence of dietary glutamine, glutamic acid and nucleotides supplementation on carbon turnover in fundic-stomach region of weaned piglets at an average age of 21 days. The diets consisted of additive-free diet — control(C); 1% glutamine(G); 1% glutamic acid(GA) and 1% nucleotides(Nu). At weaning day(day 0: baseline), 3 piglets were slaughtered to quantify the δ^(13)C of stomach. The remaining 120 piglets were blocked by weight and sex, randomly assigned to pens with 3 piglets slaughtered per treatment at days 1,2,4, 5,7,9,13.20.27 and 49 after weaning in order to verify the fundic-stomach isotopic composition by *** were analyzed in terms of ^(13)C/^(12)C ratio by mass spectrometry and converted to relative isotopic enrichment values(δ^(13)C ‰) used to plot the first order exponential curves over time using OriginPro 8.0 software. The inclusion of glutamine, glutamate and nucleotides in piglet's diets has accelerated the carbon turnover in stomach during the post-weaning period, demonstrating also that glutamate has guaranteed fastest 13 C incorporation rate on fundic-stomach region and pH-lowering. Besides that, stable isotopes technique(δ^(13)C) has proved to be an important methodology to determine the time-scales at which piglets shift among diets with different isotopic values, characterizing the trophic effects of additives and the phenotypic flexibility of stomach.

本文研究了受水温和光周期等自然变化影响的饲养状态真鲂鮄发声的昼夜与季节变化,并研究了实验鱼活动(鱼类游泳次数)的日变化。声音信号的昼夜节律记录发声活动的日常水平(摄食之外的时期),但是每月变化的记录(季节性式型)则在摄食期间进行,因为摄食时声音信号增加,而日常发声活动较不频繁。实验鱼包括雌雄两性,且未达性成熟。真鲂鮄在白天发声多一些,也更活跃。声音为阵发式的,较不频繁(平均值=0.04发声/min每鱼每天)。最少的发声活动出现在晚上,凌晨和黄昏居中(声音的阵发更频繁,但是声音更少),最多的发声活动出现在白天(声音的阵发更频繁,并且含更多数目的声音)。竞争摄食时声音信号的比率不呈现季节性变化(平均值=3.98发声/min每鱼),与温度也不相关,显示出竞争摄食时声音的发出以最大比率进行。敲击声和呼噜声的某些声学特征与温度相关,特别是在较高的温度下呼噜声的节拍间隔急剧下降。敲击声和呼噜声的声音参数中的季节性变化,多数可以解释为发声肌肉和中央声音控制回路的温度效应。
