Neo-adjuvant chemotherapy(NACT)is utilized in locally advanced oral cancers to reduce the tumor burden and downstage the tumor to be amenable for definitive surgical *** long-term results compared to upfront surgical resection was not *** has now been used not only in recurrence and metastatic setting but also in the locally advanced tumor management *** purpose of this concept paper is to bring forward the rationale to use a fixed low-dose immunotherapy agent as a potentiator to the standard NACT regimen and recommend their future investigation in oral cancer management.

A triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)is a highly potential green energy harvesting technology to power small-scale electronic *** the overall electricity production capacity of TENGs is a primary concern for their utilization as an electricity generator in day-to-day ***,we proposed a lead-free silver niobate(AgNbO_(3)(ANb))microparticles(MPs)-embedded polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)composite film-based clip-like hybrid nanogenerator(HNG)device,producing an enhanced electrical output from the applied mechanical *** ANb MPs with a high dielectric constant were initially synthesized and embedded inside the PDMS polymer *** HNGs were fabricated utilizing ANb MPs/PDMS composite films/aluminum tape as negative/positive triboelectric films,respectively and operated in contact-separation *** electrical output from them was comparatively analyzed to investigate an optimum concentration of the ANb MPs inside the PDMS *** robust HNG with 5 wt%ANb MPs/PDMS composite film produced the highest electrical output with promising ***,three similar optimized HNGs were fabricated and integrated within a 3D-printed clip-like structure and the electrical output was thoroughly evaluated while combining multiple HNGs as well as from each independent *** clip-like HNG device exhibited an electrical output of 340 V and 20μA that can be further utilized to charge various capacitors and power portable *** to the high resilience structure of the clip-like HNG device,it was also demonstrated to harvest biomechanical energy produced by human movements into *** mechanical energy harvesting when the clip-like HNG device was attached to the accelerator pedal of the car and the pedal of a musical piano was successfully demonstrated.

Software-defined networking(SDN) has received tremendous attention from both industry and *** centralized control plane in SDN has a global view of the network and can be used to provide more effective solutions for complex problems,such as traffic *** study is motivated by recent advancement in SDN and increasing popularity of multicasting *** propose a technique to increase the resiliency of multicasting in SDN based on the subtree protection *** is a group communication technology,which uses the network infrastructure efficiently by sending the data only once from one or multiple sources to a group of receivers that share a common *** applications,e.g.,live video streaming and video conferencing,become popular,but they are delay-sensitive *** in an ongoing multicast session can cause packet losses and delay,which can significantly affect quality of service(Qo S).In this study,we adapt a subtree-based technique to protect a multicast tree constructed for Open Flow switches in *** proposed algorithm can detect link or node failures from a multicast tree and then determines which part of the multicast tree requires changes in the flow table to recover from the *** a centralized controller in SDN,the backup paths can be created much more effectively in comparison to the signaling approach used in traditional multiprotocol label switching(MPLS) networks for backup paths,which makes the subtree-based protection mechanism *** also implement a prototype of the algorithm in the POX controller and measure its performance by emulating failures in different tree topologies in Mininet.

The main objective of this research work was the development of novel and responsive nonwoven composite structures containing gelling materials for wound management. The development of novel all inclusive collagen booster(CB) therapeutic nonwoven wound dressings was mainly focused on. It provides essential functional properties such as high absorption,vertical and lateral wicking,and antibacterial and acidic pH properties. The developed composite wound dressing consisted of carboxymethylcellulose(CMC) fibre and also it was reinforced with polylactic acid( PLA) fibre. The produced composite wound dressings were treated with two different CBs at 4% by using the spray method. The details of the CBs have not been disclosed in this paper due to the Intellectual Property Rights( IPR) issues. The important benefit of using CB treatment is that it allows the maintenance of an acidic pH environment at the wound area. It is well known that acidic pH reduces the wound healing time and enhances the wound healing process. Furthermore,one of the CBs not only promotes the proliferation of the epithelial cells in wounds but also can provide antibacterial action. The PLA fibre reinforced CMC composite dressing has enhanced wicking properties which help to minimise the pooling of exudate on the wound bed and as a result maceration is prevented. The CBs treated dressings maintain the wound bed in an acidic pH condition which also improves the wound healing process. In addition to the above-mentioned properties,the CB treatment imparts antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria,thus resulting in the reduction in the propensity for wound infection. Ultimately,the research has proved that the 4% CB treatment enhances the antimicrobial activity and the acidic pH characteristics of the developed CMC /PLA composite wound dressings.

Alcohol abuse and chronic hepatitis C virus(HCV)infection are two major causes of chronic liver disease in the United *** 10%-15%of liver transplants performed in the United States are for patients with cirrhosis due to combined alcohol and HCV *** on outcomes on graft and patient survival,HCV recurrence,and relapse of alcohol use comparing transplants in hepatitis C positive drinkers compared to alcohol abuse or hepatitis C alone are conflicting in the *** studies report a slightly better overall outcome in patients who were transplanted for alcoholic cirrhosis vs those transplanted for HCV alone or for combined HCV and alcohol related ***,some other studies do not support these ***,most studies are limited to a retrospective design or small sample *** prospective multicenter studies are needed to better define the outcomes in hepatitis C drinkers.

Accelerated materials development with machine learning(ML)assisted screening and high throughput experimentation for new photovoltaic materials holds the key to addressing our grand energy ***-driven ML is envisaged as a decisive enabler for new perovskite materials ***,its full potential can be severely curtailed by poorly represented molecular descriptors(or fingerprints).Optimal descriptors are essential for establishing effective mathematical representations of quantitative structure-property *** we reveal that our persistent functions(PFs)based learning models offer significant accuracy advantages over traditional descriptor based models in organic-inorganic halide perovskite(OIHP)materials design and have similar performance as deep learning *** multiscale simplicial complex approach not only provides a more precise representation for OIHP structures and underlying interactions,but also has better transferability to ML *** results demonstrate that advanced geometrical and topological invariants are highly efficient feature engineering approaches that can markedly improve the performance of learning models for molecular data ***,new structure-property relationships can be established between our invariants and *** anticipate that our molecular representations and featurization models will transcend the limitations of conventional approaches and lead to breakthroughs in perovskite materials design and discovery.
