The development of injectable bone substitutes(IBS)have obtained great importance in the bone re-generation field,as a strategy to reach hardly accessible defects using minimally invasive techniques and able to fit to irregular *** this scenario,the association of injectable hydrogels and bone graft granules is emerging as a well-established ***,in situ forming hydrogels have arisen as a new IBS *** in situ forming and injectable dextrin-based hydrogel(HG)was developed,aiming to act as a carrier of granular bone substitutes and bioactive *** this work,the HG was associated to a granular bone substitute(Bonelike)and implanted in goat critical-sized calvarial defects(14mm)for 3,6 and *** results showed that HG improved the han-dling properties of the Bonelike granules and did not affect its osteoconductive features,neither impairing the bone regener ation *** multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells from the umbilical cord,extracellular matrix hydrolysates and the pro-angiogenic peptide LLKKK18 were also combined with the *** bioactive agents did not enhance the new bone formation significantly under the conditions tested,according to micro-computed tomography and histological analysis.

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALT)lymphoma is an indolent extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma,originating in acquired MALT that is induced in mucosal barriers as part of a normal adaptive immune response to a chronic immunoinflammatory stimulus,most notably chronic infection by Helicobacter pylori(***).This antigenic stimulation initially leads to lymphoid hyperplasia;the acquisition of additional genetic aberrations culminates in the activation of intracellular survival pathways,with disease progression due to proliferation and resistance to apoptosis,and the emergence of a malignant *** are descriptions of MALT lymphomas affecting practically every organ and system,with a marked geographic variability partially attributable to the epidemiology of the underlying risk factors;nevertheless,the digestive system(and predominantly the stomach)is the most frequently involved location,reflecting the gastrointestinal tract’s unique characteristics of contact with foreign antigens,high mucosal permeability,large extension and intrinsic lymphoid *** early-stage gastric MALT lymphoma can frequently regress after the therapeutic reversal of the chronic immune stimulus through antibiotic eradication of *** infection,the presence of immortalizing genetic abnormalities,of advanced disease or of eradication-refractoriness requires a more aggressive approach which is,presently,not *** fact that MALT lymphomas are rare neoplasms,with a worldwide incidence of 1-1.5 cases per105population,per year,limits the ease of accrual of representative series of patients for robust clinical trials that could sustain informed evidence-based therapeutic decisions to optimize the quality of patient care.

Agriculture has a close relationship with nature,but it can also be the source of negative and permanent environmental *** use of pesticides in modern agriculture is a common practice,but their side effects on the environment cannot be *** this study,we evaluated a combination of solarization and ozonation techniques for the elimination of six amide pesticides(boscalid,chlorantraniliprole,cyflufenamid,fluopyram,napropamide,and propyzamide)in *** experiments were performed with four different soils to assess the efficiency of this methodology at different soil temperatures and ozone dosages under laboratory conditions,and then a greenhouse pot experiment was conducted under controlled conditions during *** days after the onset of the experiments,higher degradation percentages of amide pesticides were observed in ozonized soils than in other treated soils,particularly when ozone was applied at 10 cm soil *** results show that the utilization of ozonation,along with solarization,represents a valid method for degrading residues of the studied pesticides and suggest that this combined technology may be a promising tool for remediating pesticide-polluted soils.

BACKGROUND Several cutaneous manifestations such as urticarial rash,erythematous patches and chilblain-like lesions have been described in young adults with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and are present in up to 20%patients,but few reports exist describing histopathological and immunophenotypic characteristics of dermatological lesions in older *** aim was to characterize skin lesions in elderly patients during late stages of COVID-19 from clinical,histological and immunophenotypic *** SUMMARY Three patients,admitted for COVID-19,and who developed cutaneous manifestations underwent skin *** analysis for CD20,CD3,CD4 and CD8 was performed on skin biopsies to assess immune cell ***1a was used as a marker of Langerhans cells,and CD31 as a marker of endothelial *** the three study patients,cutaneous manifestations were evident in the late-stage of COVID-19(mean time from the first positive severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)swab to rash onset was 35 d).Skin biopsies showed a similar pattern of T lymphocyte infiltration in all ***,a chronic dermatitis with perivascular lymphocytic infiltrate was observed with predominance of CD3+T-cell(CD3+).CONCLUSION Our study confirms previous *** and immunophenotypic patterns in our patients confirm results described in the two previous reported *** pattern is similar to what is found in some lympho-proliferative ***,since these findings are non-specific,SARS-CoV-2 infection should be suspected.

Black soils, characterized by their thick, dark horizons enriched with organic matter, epitomize highly fertile soils. However, their fertility precipitates intense land use, engendering challenges such as soil erosion, nutrient depletion, pollution, compaction, salinization, and acidification. Notably, these soils are significant contributors to global greenhouse gas emissions, primarily due to substantial losses in soil organic carbon. Despite these challenges, black soils are pivotal for global food production. This paper delineates the implementation of digital soil mapping for the global cartography of black soils and human interference on these soils. Predominantly distributed in Eastern Europe, Central and Eastern Asia, and North and South America, black soils cover an approximate area of 725 Mha, with the Russian Federation,Kazakhstan, and China collectively have over half of this area. Agriculturally,these soils underpin significant proportions of global crop yields, producing 66% of sunflower, 30% of wheat, and 26% of potato outputs. The organic carbon content in the upper 30 cm of these soils is estimated at 56 *** management of black soils is imperative for ensuring food security and addressing climate change on a global scale.

Background Necrotic enteritis(NE)is a major enteric disease in poultry,yet effective mitigation strategies remain *** acid(DCA)and butyrate,two major metabolites derived from the intestinal microbiota,have independently been shown to induce host defense peptide(HDP)***,the potential synergy between these two compounds remains *** To investigate the possible synergistic effect between DCA and butyrate in regulating HDP synthesis and barrier function,we treated chicken HD11 macrophage cells and jejunal explants with DCA and sodium butyrate(NaB),either individually or in combination,for 24 ***,we performed RNA isolation and reverse transcrip-tion-quantitative PCR to analyze HDP genes as well as the major genes associated with barrier *** further determine the synergy between DCA and NaB in enhancing NE resistance,we conducted two independent trials with Cobb broiler *** each trial,the diet was supplemented with DCA or NaB on the day-of-hatch,followed by NE induction through sequential challenges with Eimeria maxima and Clostridium perfringens on d 10 and 14,*** recorded animal mortality after infection and assessed intestinal lesions on d *** impact of DCA and NaB on the microbiota in the ileum and cecum was evaluated through bacterial 16S rRNA gene *** We found that the combination of DCA and NaB synergistically induced multiple HDP genes in both chicken HD11 cells and jejunal ***,the gene for claudin-1,a major tight junction protein,also exhibited synergistic induction in response to DCA and ***,dietary supplementation with a combination of 0.75 g/kg DCA and 1 g/kg NaB led to a significant improvement in animal survival and a reduction in intestinal lesions compared to either compound alone in a chicken model of ***,the cecal microbiota of NE-infected chickens showed a marked decrease in SCFA-producing bacteria such as Bacteroides,F

本文主要分析当前阿威罗大学孔子学院管理体系下中文课程的特点、中文教学的开展情况和教学成果,概括总结孔子学院在海外汉语教学活动中所起到的作用。本项调查研究主要通过归纳目前在葡萄牙参与对外汉语教育的这一群体(学生、老师)的特点,分析当前葡萄牙小学汉语教学的特殊性,对目前阿威罗大学孔子学院小学汉语教学项目提出建设性的教学建议并提供促进其教学管理工作发展的可行性数据信息。作者以葡萄牙阿威罗大学孔子学院小学汉语教学项目为调查对象,针对教学项目中的教学规模、学生人群、教师备课、课堂教学、教学效果、教辅人员反馈以及孔子学院的管理等方面,对项目进行全方位的调查研究。通过实地访谈、参与课程、调查问卷、文献研究以及数据分析等多种调研方法,以教师、学生及教学管理者为研究对象,对于课程的开展、运行及效果进行阶段性的考查。我们的调查主要是将语言与文化放在同样的高度审视,在语言教学的同时追溯其文化内涵。对外汉语教学中文化教学研究的问题从二十世纪八十年代开始逐渐得到了中国对外汉语教学界的重视。所以本文所阐述的大部分教学方法,均来自于实践教学课堂的数据和信息搜集,也是最接近目前葡萄牙小学汉语教学实际情况的信息。

Urbanization occurs at a global scale,imposing dramatic and abrupt environmental changes that lead to biodiversity ***,some animal species can handle these changes,and thrive in such artifcial *** possible explanation is that urban individuals are equipped with better cognitive abilities,but most studies have focused on birds and mammals and yielded varied *** have received much less attention,despite some lizard species being common city *** Italian wall lizard,Podarcis siculus,and the common wall lizard,Podarcis muralis,are two successful lizards in anthropogenic habitats that thrive in urban *** test for differences in a cognitive skill between urban and semi-natural environments,we investigated inhibitory control through a detour task in syntopic populations of the two species,across 249 lizards that were tested in partially artifcial feld *** inhibitory control is considered essential for higher degrees of cognitive fexibility and other higher-level cognitive *** this task,we confronted lizards with a transparent barrier,separating them from a desired shelter area that they could only reach by controlling their impulse to go straight and instead detour the *** found no differences between lizards in urban and semi-natural environments,nor between species,but females overall performed better than ***,48%of the lizards in our study did not perform a correct trial in any of the 5 trials,hinting at the diffculty of the task for these spe*** study is among the frst to address lizard cognition,through their inhibitory control,as a potential explanation for success in cities and highlights one should be careful with assuming that urban animals generally have enhanced cognitive performance,as it might be taxa,task,or condition dependent.
