When Fleeing Matters:Differences in Escape Behaviours of Three Northeast Asian Anurans

Prey species may have their own optimal escape strategy to balance predation risks and the energetic cost of *** species have an advantage when maintaining a short fleeing distance,while others may favour an earlier escape based on microhabitat,size,or body ***,we examined the escape behaviour of the three syntopic Northeast Asian anuran species:Mongolian toads(Strauchbufo raddei),Amur brown frogs(Rana amurensis),and Japanese treefrogs(Dryophytes japonicus)in Mongolia,Russia,China and DPR *** examined flight initiation distance(FID;the distance from a potential predator to the point when the individual starts to flee)and distance fled(DF;distance between flight initiation and flight termination points)of each species and the effects of microhabitat,sex,and body *** raddei and *** had a longer FID than ***,and *** also had a longer DF than *** trends remained similar when dividing FID and DF by a size proxy(snout-vent length)for all *** suggests that the treefrog *** used a strategy to stay immobile even when they were detected,and the toad *** reacted quicker and more sensitively to predators despite the presence of *** *** had a significantly longer FID than males suggesting that females are more sensitive to predation risk in this species,but body size was not significant for any of the three *** results indicate that the three sympatric species have different escaping strategies,likely related to differences in physiology and crypticity.

The AMO （Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation） and PDO （Pacific Decadal Oscillation） were considered as the main indicators of decadal-multidecadal variations of global climate system. Joint and separate AMO and PDO manifestations in the winter cyclonic activity on the global and regional scales for the Northern Hemisphere and Mediterranean and Black Sea were studied. Composite schemes of typical displacement of cyclonic active zones in Northern Hemisphere for two combinations of AMO and PDO phases are proposed.

Comprehensive Summary Inorganic lead halide perovskite(LHP)nanostructures,represented by formula CsPbX3(X=Cl,Br,I),have garnered considerable interest for their exceptional optical properties and diverse *** their potential,challenges such as environmental degradation ***-situ synthesis within protective materials pores is a promising way to address this ***,confining perovskite nanostructures into porous matrices during the synthesis can limit their photoluminescence quantum yield(PL QY)and tunability of optical *** post-treatment approaches exist to improve the properties of LHP and achieve their desired functionalities,but these strategies have not been explored for LHP confined in mesoporous ***,we demonstrate the efficacy of in-situ post-synthetic treatments to improve the optical properties of CsPbBr3 nanocrystals grown in nanoporous silica *** passivation with Br–ion-containing precursors boosts PL QY,while anion-assisted cation doping with Mn2+ions introduces a new PL *** adjustment of precursor amount and doping duration enables precise control over the optical properties of LHP,while additional coating with a SiO2 shell enhances their stability in polar solvents,expanding the potential applications of these composites.

Investigation on purification of saturated LiNO3 solution using titanium phosphate ion-exchanger: Equilibrium study

The high-purity lithium compounds are needed， but some inorganic impurities occurring at trace level can affect functional properties of target products. Thus， the development of reliable methods for lithium salts purification is considered as a key factor for their industrial application. Sorption properties of titanium phosphate ion-exchanger （Li-TiOP） towards Cu2+， Co2+， Mn2+， Ni2+， and Cr3+ions in saturated LiNO3solution have been investigated. Solid samples were characterized by XRD， SEM， TG， DSC， NGSP， and elemental analysis. Concentrations of elements in the solutions were determined by AAS and ICP MS methods. The adsorption isotherms for studied metal ions were considered using the Langmuir， Freundlich， Temkin， and Nikolsky models. Necessity for allowing for the solvated state of the sorbate is shown in studying the sorption of metal ions. Selectivity of Li-TiOP towards studied ions is found to be described in the following order: Cr3+> Cu2+> Mn2+> Co2+> Ni2+for all models. The change in the thermodynamic parameters of the sorption process is associated with the change in the ionic potential of the sorbent. Titanium phosphate effectively removes trace concentrations of metal ions from multi-component solutions resulting in achievement of LiNO3purity level of > 99.999 wt.%.

研究地质历史时期植物-昆虫相互作用为认知相应时期的陆地生态系统提供了线索,而带有虫食迹的植物化石是开展这类研究的直接载体。中新世是陆生生态系统近似现代的重要时期,但该时期植物-昆虫互作的研究在空间范围内非常零散,特别是在亚洲中纬度地区的研究相对匮乏。近期,研究团队与合作团队在柴达木盆地怀头他拉地区上油砂山组发现了大量虫食叶片化石,为研究中新世植物-昆虫互作提供了直接证据。据初步统计,该植物群植物化石400余块,含双子叶植物形态型共计17种,其中,含虫食迹的植物化石共300余块,虫食频率高达70%。此外,虫食类型也相对丰富,初步分析发现共有37种损害类型,并可归纳入8类取食功能型,即孔洞取食、边缘取食、留脉取食、表面取食、刺吸式取食、潜叶、虫瘿和产卵。通过与其他已报道的中新世具虫食迹的植物群对比发现,柴达木盆地中新世虫食频率与多样性均较高。进一步分析认为,生物及非生物因素的共同作用,最终造就了柴达木盆地中新世植物被取食的高频性。
