Knowledge of the crustal structure is the key for understanding physical and chemical conditions of its formation and later modification by geodynamic *** has long been recognized that crustal structure is controlled by tectonic settings,and that the crustal thickness is one of the most important parameters that reflects the geodynamic origin of the crust.A long tectonic life of continental crust leads to its significant reworking by plate tectonics processes and crust-mantle interaction,which include mechanical extension.

There are known brown coal deposits in Primorsky Krai(Russian Federation),where coals contain rare elements(Ge,U,REE,etc.)up to industrial *** of the known metalliferous coals is the Rakovka coal-bearing depression,located on the southern edge of the Khanka(Prikhankaiskaya)Lowland,with an area of about 70 ***-metal granites with a developed weathering crust are spread in its basement and *** structural conditions forming the depression were studied using measurements of orientations of structural elements(layering,contacts,veins,and dikes)with regard to kinematic conditions of *** coal and host rocks were sampled in sections in the cross strike of the coal *** and dikes cutting them were sampled by separate rock chip *** chemical composition and element content were determined for all *** was found that the adjacent rocks played a major role in the formation of the Rakovka rare-metal-coal *** rare-elements enrichment is not associated with active tectonics,faults,and hydrothermal sources,as was previously ***,it was caused by the hydrogenic and clastogenic removal of these metals from the weathering crust of granites of the depression's flanks and argillated basite dikes cutting the *** hydrogenic nature of the anomalous accumulation of U in sorbed form on organic matter of coals is confirmed by the predominant enrichment of low-ash *** earth elements entered coal seams both in mineral and dissolved forms.A model of REE and uranium input into the coal-bearing sediments of the Rakovka depression was proposed.

We develop a two-relaxation-time (TRT) Lattice Boltzmann model for hydrodynamicequations with variable source terms based on equivalent equilibriumfunctions. A special parametrization of the free relaxation parameter is derived. Itcontrols, in addition to the non-dimensional hydrodynamic numbers, any TRT macroscopicsteady solution and governs the spatial discretization of transient flows. Inthis framework, the multi-reflection approach [16, 18] is generalized and extended forDirichlet velocity, pressure and mixed (pressure/tangential velocity) boundary *** propose second and third-order accurate boundary schemes and adapt themfor corners. The boundary schemes are analyzed for exactness of the parametrization,uniqueness of their steady solutions, support of staggered invariants and for the effectiveaccuracy in case of time dependent boundary conditions and transient *** the boundary scheme obeys the parametrization properly, the derived permeabilityvalues become independent of the selected viscosity for any porous structureand can be computed efficiently. The linear interpolations [5, 46] are improved withrespect to this property.

In 1930 Szpilrajn proved that any strict partial order can be embedded in a strict linear order. This theorem was later refined by Dushnik and Miller (1941), Hansson (1968), Suzumura (1976), Donaldson and Weymark (1998), Bossert (1999).Particularly Suzumura introduced the important concept of compatible extension of a (crisp) relation. These extension theorems have an important role in welfare economics. In particular Szpilrajn theorem is the main tool for proving a known theorem of Richter that establishes the equivalence between rational and congruous consumers. In 1999 Duggan proved a general extension theorem that contains all these results.In this paper we introduce the notion of compatible extension of a fuzzy relation and we prove an extension theorem for fuzzy relations. Our result generalizes to fuzzy set theory the main part of Duggan's theorem. As applications we obtain fuzzy versions of the theorems of Szpilrajn, Hansson and Suzumura. We also prove that an asymmetric and transitive fuzzy relation has a compatible extension that is total, asymmetric and transitive.Our results can be useful in the theory of fuzzy consumers. We can prove that any rational fuzzy consumer is congruous, extending to a fuzzy context a part of Richter's theorem. To prove that a congruous fuzzy consumer is rational remains an open problem. A proof of this result can somehow use a fuzzy version of Szpilrajn theorem.

For simple hydrodynamic solutions, where the pressure and the velocity arepolynomial functions of the coordinates, exact microscopic solutions are constructedfor the two-relaxation-time (TRT) Lattice Boltzmann model with variable forcing andsupported by exact boundary schemes. We show how simple numerical and analyticalsolutions can be interrelated for Dirichlet velocity, pressure and mixed (pressure/tangential velocity) multi-reflection (MR) type schemes. Special care is taken toadapt themfor corners, to examine the uniqueness of the obtained steady solutions andstaggered invariants, to validate their exact parametrization by the non-dimensionalhydrodynamic and a “kinetic” (collision) number. We also present an inlet/outlet“constant mass flux” condition. We show, both analytically and numerically, that thekinetic boundary schemes may result in the appearance of Knudsen layers which arebeyond the methodology of the Chapman-Enskog analysis. Time dependent Dirichletboundary conditions are investigated for pulsatile flow driven by an oscillating pressuredrop or forcing. Analytical approximations are constructed in order to extend thepulsatile solution for compressible regimes.

With 110-d incubation experiment in laboratory, the responses of microbial quantity, soil enzymatic activity, and bacterial community structure to different amounts of diesel fuel amendments were studied to reveal whether certain biological and biochemical characteristics could serve as reliable indicators of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in meadow-brown soil, and use these indicators to evaluate the actual ecological impacts of 50-year petroleum-refining wastewater irrigation on soil function in Shenfu irrigation area. Results showed that amendments of ~ 1000 mg/kg diesel fuel stimulated the growth of aerobic heterotrophic bacteria, and increased the activity of soil dehydrogenase, hydrogenperoxidase, polyphenol oxidase and substrate-induced respiration. Soil bacterial diversity decreased slightly during the first 15 d of incubation and recovered to the control level on day 30. The significant decrease of the colony forming units of soil actinomyces and filamentous fungi can be taken as the sensitive biological indicators of petroleum contamination when soil was amended with 〉15000 mg/kg diesel fuel. The sharp decrease in urease activity was recommended as the most sensitive biochemical indicator of heavy diesel fuel contamination. The shifts in community structure to a community documented by Sphingomonadaceae within a-subgroup of Proteobacteria could be served as a sensitive and precise indicator of diesel fuel contamination. Based on the results described in this paper, the soil function in Shenfu irrigation area was disturbed to some extent.

In the western part of the South Baikal Basin,spatial-temporal distribution of earthquake epicenters shows quasi-periodic seismic *** largest earthquakes that occurred in 1999(M_(W)=6.0)and 2008(M_(W)=6.3)fall within seismic intervals of 1994-2003 and 2003-2012,*** the seismic interval that began in 2013,the ^(234)U/^(238)U activity ratio(AR)in groundwater was monitored assuming its dependence on crack opening/closing that facilitated/prevented water circulation in an active boundary fault of the *** from disordered,high-amplitude fluctuations of AR values to consistent,low-amplitude fluctuations in different monitoring sites were found to be sensitive indicators of both small seismic events occurring directly on the observation area,and of a large remote *** hydroisotopic responses to seismic events were consistent with monitoring data on deformation and temperature variations of *** hydroisotopic effects can be applied for detecting a seismically dangerous state of an active fault and prediction of a large future earthquake.

Understanding and optimizing spin injection in self- assembled InAs/GaAs quantum-dot molecular structures

Semiconductor quantum-dot （QD） structures are promising for spintronic applications owing to their strong quenching of spin relaxation processes that are promoted by carrier and exciton motions. Unfortunately, the spin injection efficiency in such nanostructures is very low and the exact physical mechanism of the spin loss is still not fully understood. Here, we show that exciton spin injection in self-assembled InAs/GaAs QDs and QD molecular structures （QMSs） is dominated by localized excitons confined within the QD-like regions of the wetting layer （WL） and GaAs barrier layer that immediately surround the QDs and QMSs. These localized excitons in fact lack the commonly believed 2D and 3D character with an extended wavefunction. We attribute the microscopic origin of the severe spin loss observed during spin injection to a sizable anisotropic exchange interaction （AEI） of the localized excitons in the WL and GaAs barrier layer, which has so far been overlooked. We determined that the AEI of the injected excitons and, thus, the efficiency of the spin injection processes are correlated with the overall geometric symmetry of the QMSs. This symmetry largely defines the anisotropy of the confinement potential of the localized excitons in the surrounding WL and GaAs barrier. These results pave the way for a better understanding of spin injection processes and the microscopic origin of spin loss in QD structures. Furthermore, they provide a useful guideline to significantly improve spin injection efficiency by optimizing the lateral arrangement of QMSs and overcome a major challenge in spintronic device applications utilizing semiconductor QDs.
