Polymeric-inorganic nanocomposite catalysts were synthesized by facile one-pot chemical polymerization of pyrrole in the presence of titanium dioxide nanoparticles. The electrical, optical, photovoltaic performance of dye sensitized solar cell（DSSC） and visible light driven photocatalytic activities of the nanocomposite were investigated. The prepared nanocomposite displays excellent photo-activity, attaining 100% degradation of methyl orange dye in 60 min under visible light source while 55% for pure TiO_2 under similar experimental conditions. The photovoltaic performance of the polypyrrole-titanium dioxide（PPy-TiO_2） nanocomposite has a 51.4% improvement with a photo-conversion efficiency of 8.07% as compared to pure TiO_2 based DSSC. By comparing the physical mixture of the PPy-TiO_2 nanocomposite and pristine TiO_2, the enhanced activity of the PPy-TiO_2 nanocomposite can be attributed to the reduced charge transfer resistance, outstanding electrical conductance of the PPy, the nano-sized structure of TiO_2 and their synergetic effect. Furthermore, the PPy-TiO_2 nanocomposite shows excellent electrical conductivity and isothermal stability under ambient conditions below 110？C.

We report on the observation of new fluorescence emission spectral transitions obtained from NO diatomic molecule in the region from ultraviolet （UV） to near infrared （NIR） in a low power glow discharge system. This glow discharge electronic excitation populates different quartet and doublet states of NO in its proximity such as the A2Z （/9 = 2）, b4∑- （υ= 3）, B2М （1） = 4）, and X2Л （u= 33-32） states. Due to inter-system crossing, emission lines originating from these levels to lower lying states are recorded and spectral line assignments are performed. The observed systems include b4∑- a4∏, B21∏-a4∏, a4∏-X2I∏, A2∑X2∏, X2∏-X2∏ （33-15）, X2∏-X2∏ （33-17）, X2∏-X2∏ （33-20）, and X2∏-X2∏ （33- 18）. This new information will conduce to the better understanding of the interesting features of NO molecule. Such parameters that affect the recording of low density of NO molecules are also discussed In addition to the factors such as the time evolution, argon gas concentration relative to NO mixture, the percentage of NO molecular gas concentration, discharge electric current signals and discharge applied voltage are studied. Those factors would enhance the fluorescence signal intensity of NO molecules. The recent results might be significant as reference data for optimizing the glow discharge spectrometer and diagnostics of NO gas.

Transmission line is a vital part of the power system that connects two major points,the generation,and the *** an efficient design,stable control,and steady operation of the power system,adequate knowledge of the transmission line parameters resistance,inductance,capacitance,and conductance is of great *** parameters are essential for transmission network expansion planning in which a new parallel line is needed to be installed due to increased load demand or the overhead line is replaced with an underground *** paper presents a method to optimally estimate the parameters using the input-output quantities i.e.,voltages,currents,and power factor of the transmission *** equivalentπ-network model is used and the terminal data i.e.,sending-end and receiving-end quantities are assumed as available measured *** parameter estimation problem is converted to an optimization problem by formulating an error-minimizing objective *** improved particle swarm optimization(PSO)in terms of time-varying control parameters and chaos-based initialization is used to optimally estimate the line *** cases are considered for parameter estimation,the first case is when the line conductance is neglected and in the second case,the conductance is considered into *** results obtained by the improved algorithm are compared with the standard version of the algorithm,firefly algorithm and artificial bee colony algorithm for 30 number of *** is concluded that the improved algorithm is tremendously sufficient in estimating the line parameters in both cases validated by low error values and statistical analysis,comparatively.

Numerical Study on NOx Emissions of Methane Re-Combustion in a 600 MWe Coal-Fired Boiler

The fuel staging combustion technology is a promising low NOx combustion technology for coal-fired boiler. In order to reduce NOx emissions, the burners of a 600?MWe coal-fired boiler are retrofitted in which methane gas is selected as a secondary fuel for re-combustion. The CFD models of combustion process are built to investigate?effects of the methane gasratio on combustion process and NOx emissions. A total of 4 cases are numerically studied, including the pure coal combustion case, the coal combustion with 7.5%, 10%, 12.5% of methane gas re-combustion cases respectively. The results show that the re-combustion of methane can reduce the temperature at primary combustion zone, but increase the temperatures at the re-combustion area and the furnace outlet. The NOx concentration at the furnace outlet reduces with the increasing methane gas ratio.?Methane re-combustion can greatly benefit to the NOx emissions reduction.
