Immunoglobulin G(IgG)is the most abundant plasma glycoprotein and a prominent humoral immune *** composition affects the affinity of IgG to ligands and consequent immune *** modification of IgG N-glycosylation is considered to be one of the various mechanisms by which sex hormones modulate the immune *** the menstrual cycle is the central sex hormonerelated physiological process in most women of reproductive age,IgG N-glycosylation dynamics during the menstrual cycle have not yet been *** fill this gap,we profiled the plasma IgG Nglycans of 70 healthy premenopausal women at 12 time points during their menstrual cycles(every 7 days for 3 months)using hydrophilic interaction ultra-performance liquid chromatography(HILIC-UPLC).We observed cyclic periodic changes in the N-glycosylation of IgG in association with the menstrual cycle phase and sex hormone concentration in *** the integrated cohort level,the modeled average menstrual cycle effect on the abundance of IgG N-glycosylation traits was low for each trait,with the highest being 1.1%for agalactosylated ***,intrapersonal changes were relatively high in some cases;for example,the largest difference between the minimum and maximum values during the menstrual cycle was up to 21%for sialylated *** all measurements,the menstrual cycle phase could explain up to 0.72%of the variation in the abundance of a single IgG glycosylation trait of *** contrast,up to 99%of the variation in the abundance of digalactosylation could be attributed to interpersonal differences in IgG *** conclusion,the average extent of changes in the IgG N-glycopattern that occur during the menstrual cycle is small;thus,the IgG N-glycoprofiling of women in large sample-size studies can be performed regardless of menstrual cycle phase.

Influence of symmetric and asymmetric rolling on texture evolution of work-hardened AA 5xxx aluminium alloy

The textures and microstructures of hot- and cold-rolled sheets of an AA 5454 aluminium alloy were studied， with special attention paid to comparing the texture development for the symmetric and asymmetric cold rolling. Scanning electron microscopy with electron-backscatter diffraction was used to monitor the development of the microstructure in the differently deformed and additionally annealed samples. Details of the formations and transformations of individual texture components occurring during the rolling processes were observed and discussed. The average grain sizes， textures and mechanical properties were correlated and explained for the symmetric and asymmetric cold-rolled samples. The asymmetric rolling is beneficial in terms of deep drawability because it reduces the planar anisotropy of the annealed material due to the decrease of the Cube， Goss， Rotated Cube and η- fibre texture components and the same time strengthens X1- and X2-fibre texture components which are shear texture components and improve deep drawability. During the asymmetric cold rolling， the temperature increases due to friction， triggering recrystallisation processes and leading to larger grains. It was also confirmed that asymmetric cold rolling uses less rolling force and consequently less energy to produce a final material with better formability， particularly earing.

International patterns in incidence and mortality trends of pancreatic cancer in the last three decades: A joinpoint regression analysis

Trends in suicide by hanging, strangulation, and suffocation in Serbia, 1991-2020: A joinpoint regression and age-period-cohort analysis

BACKGROUND Hanging is one of the most commonly used methods for suicide in both sexes *** a number of countries,hanging mortality has increased over the last ***,there is a scarcity of studies that have explored the patterns and trends for mortality of suicide by hanging on global,regional and national levels,as most evaluations are limited to certain *** To assess the trends of suicide mortality by hanging,strangulation,and suffocation in Serbia,from 1991 to *** This nationwide study,with epidemiological descriptive study design,was carried out based on official *** age-standardized rates(ASRs,expressed per 100000 persons)were calculated by direct standardization,using the World Standard *** trends from suicide by hanging were assessed using the joinpoint regression analysis:The average annual percent change(AAPC)with the corresponding 95%confidence interval(95%CI)was ***-period-cohort analysis was performed to address the possible underlying reasons for the observed suicide *** Over the 30-year period studied,there were 24340 deaths by hanging(17750 males and 6590 females)in *** 2020,the ASR of deaths by hanging was 4.5 per 100000 persons in both sexes together(7.6 in males vs 1.7 in females).The trends of suicide mortality by hanging decreased significantly between 1991 and 2020 in both males(AAPC=-1.7%per year;95%CI:-2.0 to-1.4)and females(AAPC=-3.5%per year;95%CI:-3.9 to-3.1).Mortality rates of suicide by hanging had a continuously decreasing tendency in both sexes together in all age groups:The only exception was among males in 40-49 age group,with an increasing trend of suicide by hanging from 1991 to 2011(by+0.3%per year).CONCLUSION The trends in suicide mortality by hanging have been decreasing in Serbia in the last three decades in both sexes,but this was more pronounced in women than in *** the decreasing trends observed in mortality of suicide by hang
