Hematite(α-Fe_(2)O_(3)) based photoanodes have been extensively studied due to various intriguing features that make them viable candidates for a photoelectrochemical(PEC) water splitting ***,we propose a Zr-doped Fe_(2)O_(3) photoanode decorated with facilely spin-coated Au nanoparticles(NPs) and microwave-assisted attached Si co-doping in conjunction with a SiO_(x) overlayer that displayed a remarkable photocurrent density of 2.01 mA/cm^(2) at 1.23 V *** kinetic dynamics at the photoelectrode/-electrolyte interface was examined by employing systematic electrochemical *** Au NPs played a dual role in increasing PEC water ***,the Schottky interface that was formed between Au NPs and Zr-Fe_(2)O_(3) lectrode ensured the prevention of electron flow from the photoanode to the metal,increasing the number of available charges as well as suppressing surface charge ***,Au extracted photoholes from the bulk of the Zr-Fe_(2)O_(3) and transported them to the outer SiO_(x) overlayer,while the SiO_(x) overlayer efficiently collected the photoholes and promoted the hole injection into the ***,Si co-doping enhanced bulk conductivity by reducing bulk charge transfer resistance and improving charge carrier *** study outlines a technique to design a metallic charge transfer path with an overlayer for solar energy conversion.

To the Editor:As the prevalence of stroke in the general population is two to three times less than among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),among whom stroke accounts for 11.0%of all deaths,stroke is clearly a major macrovascular complication that increases the mortality and morbidity of patients with T2DM.[1]The pathophysiology of stroke consists of complicated processes involving oxidative stress,endothelial dysfunction,and pro-inflammatory ***36 is a B scavenger receptor that is involved in inflammation,innate immunity,and lipid metabolism and has been implicated in the pathophysiology of atherosclerosis.[2]However,there is no study evaluating the effect of CD36 polymorphism in patients with T2DM according to disease ***,the present study evaluates the association between the rs1761667 CD36 single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)and stroke in Korean patients with T2DM according to disease duration.

This study determined the effect of orally fed polysaccharide-rich bioprocessed (fermented) black rice bran produced by culturing with shiitake (Lentinus edodes) mushroom mycelium on CT-26 colon cancer cells in vivo in an intracutaneously transplanted mouse tumor alone and in combination with intraperitoneally administered anti-PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor. Analysis of the isolated tumor weights at the end of the study shows that the average tumor size in control mice is 3.78 grams, and the average tumor size in mice treated with anti-PD-1 antibody is 2.16 grams. The average tumor size in mice treated with BRB-F alone is 2.25 grams, and the average tumor size in mice treated with anti-PD-1 antibody BRB-F combination is 1.38 grams. Thus, BRB-F or anti-PD-1 antibody alone each reduce tumor size by 40.5% or 42.9%, whereas the combination of BRB-F and anti-PD-1 antibody reduces tumor size by 63.5%, with their cooperative effect being statistically significant. The observed anti-tumor effects were accompanied by a series of biomarkers associated with cancer formation and inhibition. These results indicate that the reported potentiation of cancer therapy using drug-based medical chemotherapies with added checkpoint inhibitors in human patients are mechanistically similar with the functional food evaluated in the present study. These beneficial effects in mice challenge clinicians to investigate if the black rice bran food product can also protect against human cancer.

＜正＞A chemiluminescence （CL） sensor for bilirubin combined flow-injection method was described in this paper. The analytical reagents involved in the CL reaction, including lucigenin and sodium periodate, were both immobilized on an anion-exchange column in FI system. The CL signal produced by the reaction between lucigenin and sodium periodate, which were eluted from the column through sodium phosphate injection, was decreased in the presence of bilirubin. The effects of eluant concentration, sodium hydroxide concentration, the molar ratio of lucigenin and periodate on the CL intensity were investigated. Under the optimum conditions, the present method allows the determination of bilirubin over the range from 0.05847 μg/ml to 58.47 μg/ml with the detection limit of 0.0125 μg/ml （3σ）. The correlation coefficient （R） is 0.99746 . The relative standard deviation was 0.9978 % for 1.0×10-4M of bilirubin （n = 11）.

＜正＞Concurrent Engineering（CE） approach has great potential to meet the diversified customers demands of high quality and low price products. Efforts are focused, in this paper, on the developments of GIOPPS（Generative Integration ＆ Optimization of Process Planning System） for integration and optimization of machining process planning. This system helps the designer and the manufacturer to estimate the cost and time required for product completion at the early design stage. This system can also select the best machine cells and tools for manufacturers and process planners, and hence can yield the optimum manufacturing parameters.
