Calix[n]arenes was utilized to detect PABA,the primary sunscreen *** study investigates the interaction of.calix[4]arene(C4),calix[6]arene(C6),and PABA using the Langmuir method and f.rst-principle density f.nctional theory(Df.).Using the Langmuir-Schaef.r(LS)technique,an ultrathin f.lm composed of.calix[n]arenes and their complexes with PABA was deposited on various *** on the Langmuir study,the PABA molecule was bonded to the lower rims of.both C4 and C6 with the host-guest ratio of.1:*** of.the LS f.lms f.rmed were then characterized by ultravioletvisible spectroscopy(UV-Vis),f.urier-transf.rm inf.ared spectroscopy(f.IR)and carbon,hydrogen,nitrogen,sulf.r elemental analyzer(CHnS).The band gap reduction obtained in the Df. study denotes the charge transf.r interaction with promising reactivity between the calix[n]arenes and *** sensing of.PABA by C4 and C6 is successf.l based on the f.rmation of.bonding between them due to the hosts’ef.ective trapping *** outcomes of.this study could be applied to drug delivery systems f.r f.ture pharmaceutical and medical applications.

Lung cancer remains a major concern in modern oncology due to its high mortality rates and multif.ceted origins, including hereditary f.ctors and various clinical changes. It stands as the deadliest type of.cancer and a signif.cant cause of.cancer-related deaths globally. Early diagnosis enables healthcare providers to administer appropriate treatment measures promptly and accurately, leading to improved prognosis and higher survival rates. The signif.cant increase in both the incidence and mortality rates of.lung cancer, particularly its ranking as the second most prevalent cancer among women worldwide, underscores the need f.r comprehensive research into ef.icient screening methods. Advances in diagnostic techniques, particularly the use of.computed tomography (CT) scans, have revolutionized the identif.cation of.lung cancer. CT scans are renowned f.r their ability to provide high-resolution images and are particularly ef.ective in detecting small, calcif.ed areas, crucial f.r identif.ing early-stage lung cancer. Consequently, there is growing interest in enhancing computer-aided detection (CAD) systems. These algorithms assist radiologists by reducing f.lse-positive interpretations and improving the accuracy of.early cancer diagnosis. This study aims to enhance the ef.ectiveness of.CAD systems through various methods. Initially, the Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) algorithm is employed to preprocess CT scan images, thereby improving their visual quality. f.rther ref.nement is achieved by integrating dif.erent optimization strategies with the CLAHE method. The Cutmix data augmentation technique is applied to boost the perf.rmance of.the proposed model. A comparative analysis is conducted using deep learning architectures such as Inception-V3, Resnet101, Xception, and Ef.icientnet. The study evaluates the perf.rmance of.these architectures in image classif.cation tasks, both with and without the implementation of.the CLAHE algorithm. The em

The optimum levels of.Lysine and Glutamine needed f.r growth perf.rmance and maintenance of.the chicken broilers were evaluated in a randomized 3 × 4 f.ctorial arrangement of.dietary treatments. The battery cages measured 99 × 66 × 25 cm that can be suf.icient f.r 5 birds. Day old Chicken broilers totaling 180 were assigned to dietary treatments comprising of.3 concentrations of.Lysine (0.85, 1.14, and 1.42) each in combination with 4 concentrations of.Glutamine (0, 1, 2, and 3). Each dietary treatment was replicated 3 times and each replication had 5 birds. The birds were given f.ed and water ad libitum with a 23-hour light regim.n f.r a period of.4 weeks. Then, the experim.ntal birds were evaluated f.r body weight gain, f.ed consumption, and f.ed conversion in order to determine their optimum requirement f.r dietary Lysine and Glutamine. Based on the f.ndings of.this study, the highest perf.rmance was observed in birds f.d the diet supplemented with 1.42 lysine and 1% glutamine, but the highest improvement in f.ed conversion was observed in diet contain 1.14 and 1.42 with 1% and 3% glutamine, respectively. Birds f.d 1.42 lysine and 1% glutamine had the highest total body weight gain and f.ed consumption. The lysine requirements in the diet f.r Chicken are between 1.14 and 1.42 with glutamine level of.1%.

In recent decades,the importance of.surf.ce acoustic waves,as a biocompatible tool to integrate with microf.uidics,has been proven in various medical and biological *** numerical modeling of.acoustic streaming caused by surf.ce acoustic waves in microchannels requires the ef.ect of.viscosity to be considered in the equations which complicates the *** this paper,it is shown that the major contribution of.viscosity and the horizontal component of.actuation is concentrated in a narrow region alongside the actuation *** the inviscid equations are considerably easier to solve,a division into the viscous and inviscid domains would alleviate the computational load *** particles'traces calculated by this approximation are excellently alongside their counterparts f.om the completely viscous *** is also shown that the optimum thickness f.r the viscous strip is about 9-f.ld the acoustic boundary layer thickness f.r various f.ow patterns and amplitudes of.actuation.

Although mechanisms of.telomere protection are well-def.ned in dif.erentiated cells,how stem cells sense and respond to telomere dysf.nction,in particular telomeric double-strand breaks(DSBs),is poorly ***,we report the DnA damage signaling,cell cycle,and transcriptome changes in human induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)in response to telomere-internal *** engineer human iPSCs with an inducible TRf.-f.kI f.sion protein to acutely induce DSBs at *** this model,we demonstrate that TRf.-f.kI DSBs activate an ATR-dependent DnA damage response,which leads to p53-independent cell cycle arrest in *** CRISPR–Cas9 to cripple the catalytic domain of.telomerase reverse transcriptase,we show that telomerase is largely dispensable f.r survival and lengthening of.TRf.-f.kI-cleaved telomeres,which instead are ef.ectively repaired by robust homologous recombination(HR).In contrast to HR-based telomere maintenance in mouse embryonic stem cells,where HR causes ZSCAn4-dependent extension of.telomeres beyond their initial lengths,HR-based repair of.telomeric breaks is suf.icient to maintain iPSC telomeres at a normal length,which is compatible with sustained survival of.the cells over several days of.TRf.-f.kI *** f.ndings suggest a previously unappreciated role f.r HR in telomere maintenance in telomerase-positive iPSCs and reveal distinct iPSC-specif.c responses to targeted telomeric DnA damage.

The hydrothermal synthesis of.In_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2)–In_(2)O_(3)is investigated as well as the properties of.sensor layers based on these *** the synthesis of.In_(2)O_(3),intermediate products In(OH)_(3)and InOOH are f.rmed,which are the precursors of.stable cubic(c-In_(2)O_(3))and metastable rhombohedral(rh-In_(2)O_(3))phases,respectively.A transition f.om c-In_(2)O_(3)to rh-In_(2)O_(3)is observed with the addition of.CeO_(2).The introduction of.cerium into rh-In_(2)O_(3)results in a decrease in the sensor response to hydrogen,while it increases in composites based on c-In_(2)O_(3).The data on the sensor activity of.the composites correlate with XPS results in which CeO_(2)causes a decrease in the concentrations of.chemisorbed oxygen and oxygen vacancies in rh-In_(2)O_(3).The reverse situation is observed in composites based on c-In_(2)O_(3).Compared to In_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2)–In_(2)O_(3)obtained by other methods,the synthesized composites demonstrate maximum response to H_(2)at low temperatures by 70–100℃,and have short response time(0.2–0.5 s),short recovery time(6–7 s),and long-term stability.A model is proposed f.r the dependence of.sensitivity on the direction of.electron transf.r between In_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2).

Phlogopite solid-solutions have a wide pressure-temperature(P-T)stability f.eld and are ubiquitous in a wide variety of.geological settings,f.om deep lithosphere magmatic environments to upper crust metamorphic *** composition represents theref.re a valuable physical-chemical archive and may provide important inf.rmation regarding its crystallization and the petrogenesis of.the *** this paper we examine the phlogopite phenocrysts f.om the well-known f.rt Regent mica-bearing lamprophyre minette f.om ***(Island of.Jersey,UK).Phlogopite phenocrystals f.om lamprophyres generally show normal-step and continuous compositional zoning,however those f.om the f.rt Regent minette show a peculiar texture characterized by dark brown high-Ti(average TiO_(2)≈8.5 wt.%)cores enveloped by euhedral low-to mid-amplitude zonation due to oscillatory contents in Ti,f. and ***-barometry modelling based on biotite-only composition yields relatively high P-T estimates(T≈970±54℃at P≈0.73±0.13 GPa)f.r cores whereas lower values(T≈790±54℃at P≈0.29±0.13 GPa)are obtained f.r the outer *** temperatures(T≈1075±54℃)but extremely high and anomalous pressure values(P≈1.82±0.13 GPa)are obtained f.r the yellowish inner *** combination of.electron micro probe(EmP)analysis and single-crystal inf.a-red(f.IR)imaging in the OH-stretching region shows that the exceptional and oscillatory Ti contents are due to the Ti-vacancy substitution,typical of.crystallization and growth processes of.HP/HT *** imaging provides additional insight f.r this process,conf.rming the dominant dioctahedral nature f.r the Ti-f.-rich cores and outer *** of.thermobaric estimates obtained f.om the phlogopite compositiononly model,based on the f.ne-scale compositional evolution,shows that pressure-temperature values f.om low-Ti high-mg domains should be caref.lly evaluated because the substitution mechanisms during the dark mica growth are not univocal

The physical properties of.the rock units associated with the Rio Bonito f.rmation are presented in this study with the f.cus on modelling reservoir quality based on petrophysics-derived parameters to evaluate CO_(2)storage *** involves the modelling of.the reservoir depths,thicknesses,f.ow zone indicators(f.I),and ef.ective permeability(Kef.)and presenting the CO_(2)storage ef.iciency f.ctors peculiar to the rock units of.the study *** results presented by this study f.r the stated objectives are not quite common in the *** values range f.om 200 mD to higher than 2000 mD,and f.I values are generally above 1.0 mm and up to 13.0 mm within the portions covered by the drilled *** sandstone units recorded are up to 20 m thick in some *** Kef. and f.I models indicate the sandstone reservoirs as permeable units to support the injection and circulation of.CO_(2)within the potential reservoir units of.the Rio Bonio f.rmation across São Paulo *** f.om some points in the southeastern part of.the study location,where the Rio Bonito are delineated at depths less than 800 m(minimum CO_(2)storage depth based on best practices),other portions are deeper,ranging f.om 950 m to 3500 ***-bedded layers will af.ect the integrity of.the rocks as CO_(2)storage tanks or reservoir seals/traps/overburden within the *** bed thicknesses are up to 20 m in some ***,hybrid CO_(2)reservoir units are f.asible,especially in portions where thin siltstone layers are sandwiched between sandstone units to provide considerable thicknesses based on CO_(2)storage *** current study shows that useable areas considering reservoir thickness,depth,and other physical qualities will signif.cantly control the CO_(2)storage ef.iciency of.the study *** studies f.aturing a detailed geophysical exploration of.the site to conf.rm the availability and saturations of.preexisting f.uid(hydrocarbon and water)are encouraged
