Several image-based biomedical diagnoses require high-resolution imaging capabilities at large spatial ***,conventional microscopes exhibit an inherent trade-off between depth-of-field(DoF)and spatial resolution,and thus require objects to be refocused at each lateral location,which is time ***,we present a computational imaging platform,termed E2E-BPF microscope,which enables large-area,high-resolution imaging of large-scale objects without serial *** method involves a physics-incorporated,deep-learned design of binary phase filter(BPF)and jointly optimized deconvolution neural network,which altogether produces high-resolution,high-contrast images over extended depth *** demonstrate the method through numerical simulations and experiments with fluorescently labeled beads,cells and tissue section,and present high-resolution imaging capability over a 15.5-fold larger DoF than the conventional *** method provides highly effective and scalable strategy for DoF-extended optical imaging system,and is expected to find numerous applications in rapid image-based diagnosis,optical vision,and metrology.

In this paper, we consider an SIR-model for which the interaction term is the square root of the susceptible and infected individuals in the form of fractional order differential equations. First the non-negative solution of the model in fractional order is presented. Then the local stability analysis of the model in fractional order is discussed. Finally, the general solutions are presented and a discrete-time finite difference scheme is constructed using the nonstandard finite difference (NSFD) method. A comparative study of the classical Runge-Kutta method and ODE45 is presented in the case of integer order derivatives. The solutions obtained are presented graphically.

The mechanical behavior of non-Newtonian fluids can be modeled by several constitutive differential equations. The Oldroyd model is viewed as one of the successful models for describing the response of a subclass of polymeric liquids, in particular the non-Newtonian behavior exhibited by these fluids. In this paper, we are concerned with the study of the unsteady flows of an incom-pressible viscoelastic fluid of an Oldroyd-B type in a blood vessel acting on a Brownian force. First we derive the orientation stress tensor considering Hookean dumbbells on Brownian configuration fields. Then we reformulate the three-dimensional Oldroyd-B model with the total stress tensor which consists of the isotropic pressure stress tensor, the shear stress tensor, and the orientation stress tensor. Finally we present the numerical simulations of the model and analyze the effect of the orientation stress tensor in the vessel.

field attraction test of (7R,8S)-cis-7,8-epoxy-2- methyloctadec-17-ene (= 7R,8S-epo-2me-17ene-18Hy), a trace component of the sex pheromone gland of the Asian gypsy moth,(Lymantria dispar), traps that were baited with the trace component attracted more L. dispar than traps baited with (7S,8R)-cis-7,8-epoxy-2-methyloctadec-17-ene (= 7S,8R-epo-2me-17ene-18Hy) and unbaited traps. However, traps baited with 7R,8S-epo-2me-17ene-18Hy were less attractive than traps baited with (+)-disparlure [=(7R,8S)-cis-7,8-epoxy-2-methyloctadecane], the sex pheromone of L. dispar. Combination tests with (?)-disparlure, 7R,8S-epo-2me-17ene-18Hy, and 7S,8R-epo-2me- 17ene-18Hy revealed that 7R,8S-epo-2me-17ene-18Hy acted synergistically with (?)-disparlure.

Geometry effect on mechanical properties of woven fabric composites

The effects of geometry on mechanical properties in woven fabric composites were explored. Two types of composites, including one-layered and two-layered composites, were designed and studied. For one-layered composites, inter-strand gap effects on the mechanical properties were studied, while three cases of geometries with inter-strand gaps in two-layered composites were evaluated. A woven fiber micromechanics analytical model called MESOTEX was employed for theoretical simulation. The predicted results show that the inter-strand gap and simple variation of the strand positions in a repeating unit cell significantly affect the mechanical properties of woven fabric composites.

Contact electrification is a direct triboelectrification method for producing current through charge transfer when two different differentiated materials have brought into *** the first time,we developed a simple triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)where the electronic charges were realized through contact separation mode between sand-polished Kapton(SPK)and Al ***,we demonstrated the energetic interfacial contact between these surfaces and observed satisfactory output *** novel SPK-TENG produced 40 V and 2.8μA,of open-circuit voltages(V_(oc))and short-circuit currents(Isc)at 4 Hz,***,the SPK-TENG was dramatically increased up the performance of TENG,up to 40% of V_(oc) and 42% of I_(sc),with respect to the Kapton film because the mobility of electrons is very high on the device surface compared to the other pristine Kapton *** fabricated SPK-TENGs were good candidates for satisfying the need for alternative contact separation mode TENGs.

In this study,we investigated the preventive effects of emamectin benzoate 9.7%SL,which was newly developed to reduce the injection volume and number of injection holes required to protect against pine wood *** of the Pinus thunbergii trees injected with emamectin benzoate 9.7%SL at 0.3 mL/cm diameter at breast height(DBH)died within 2 years of inoculation with pine wood *** benzoate 9.7%SL injected at 0.6 mL/cm DBH resulted in no tree mortality for 3 *** residue of emamectin benzoate 9.7%SL in pine twigs injected with 0.3 mL/cm DBH was 0.490μg/g at 1 year after injection and 0.303μg/g after 2 *** residues values are greater than 0.031μg/g,previously determined IC95 value for emamectin benzoate against the pine wood *** field experiment and residue analysis showed that emamectin benzoate 9.7%SL could be a substitute agent for emamectin benzoate 2.15%EC,which is widely used to prevent pine wood nematode in the field and that injection volume and number of injection holes can be greatly educed using this new formulation,which will reduce injury to the cambium,interruption of water movement,and infection of inoculation wounds by wood-decay or blue stain fungi.

Inhibitory Effect of the Extract of Phellodendron amurense Ruprecht Root on Collagen-Induced Arthritis in Mice

Objective： To investigate whether the dried root of Phellodendron amurense Ruprecht（Phellodendri cortex; PC） extract improves arthritic symptoms through anti-inflammatory and immune-modulatory effects in collagen-induced arthritis in mice. Methods： Rheumatoid arthritis（RA） was induced in male DBA/1 mice by immunization with type Ⅱ collagen（ColⅡ）. CIA mice were divided into 5 groups（n=10 per a group） with normal, CIA control, PC extract（50 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg）-treated, and meloxicam（50 mg/kg）-treated as the reference drug. The PC extract or meloxicam were administered orally in CIA mice once a day for 14 days after arthritis induction. Arthritic score, levels of anti-ColⅡ IgG2a antibody, prostaglandin E2（PGE2）, tumor necrosis factor（TNF）-α, and interleukin（il）-17 in the sera of CIA mice were measured. Histopathological changes in the ankle joints of CIA mice were also analyzed by staining with hematoxylin and eosin（H and E）, safranin-O and immunohistochemistry using anti-TNF-α and anti-il-17 antibodies. Results： The arthritic score was increased in CIA mice in a time-dependent manner, as were the serum levels of anti-ColⅡ IgG2a antibody, PGE2, TNF-α, and il-17. However, the oral administration of PC extract at 50 and 100 mg/kg in CIA mice significantly decreased the arthritic scores, and the serum levels of anti-ColⅡ IgG2a, PGE2, TNF-α, and il-17 compared with those in the CIA group（P〈0.05 or P〈0.01）. Furthermore, histopathological improvement of the joint architecture in CIA mice was observed after administration of PC extract. PC extract also significantly inhibited the expression of TNF-α and il-17 in the joints of CIA mice by suppressing the expression of their m RNA and proteins. Conclusion： PC extract may improve the pathological progression of RA through the inhibition of joint destruction by synovial inflammation and immune-stimulation, therefore, it would be a potential anti-arthritic agent in RA.

Aerodynamic design optimization of helicopter rotor blades including airfoil shape for hover performance

This study proposes a process to obtain an optimal helicopter rotor blade shape for aerodynamic performance in hover flight. A new geometry representation algorithm which uses the class function/shape function transformation （CST） is employed to generate airfoil coordinates. With this approach, airfoil shape is considered in terms of design variables. The optimization process is constructed by integrating several programs developed by author. The design variables include twist, taper ratio, point of taper initiation, blade root chord, and coefficients of the airfoil distribution function. Aerodynamic constraints consist of limits on power available in hover and forward flight. The trim condition must be attainable. This paper considers rotor blade configuration for the hover flight condition only, so that the required power in hover is chosen as the objective function of the optimization problem. Sensitivity analysis of each design variable shows that airfoil shape has an important role in rotor performance. The optimum rotor blade reduces the required hover power by 7.4% and increases the figure of merit by 6.5%, which is a good improvement for rotor blade design.
