Pholidota cantonensis Rolfe is a medicinal plant with a long history of safe use for treating sore throat,tonsillitis,cough phlegm asthma,pneumonia,acute soft-tissue trauma and arthritis in *** new diterpene(clerodane,1)and(labdane,2) glycosides together with 10 known constituents(3-10) were isolated from the whole plant of Pholidota *** structures of the isolated compounds were determined by spectroscopic and/or chemical methods.

Aquilaria sinensis(Thymelaeaceae)is widely cultivated in southern China for its significant medicinal *** resinous wood,the most used part of the plant as traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),locally called“Chen Xiang(沉香)”or Chinese agarwood,has been traditionally used for the treatment of circulatory disorders,abdominal pain,vomiting,and *** date,over 249 compounds have been isolated and identified from this plant.A range of bioactivities,including α-glucosidase inhibitory effects,anti-inflammatory,cytotoxicity,neuroprotective,anti-neuroinflammatory,antimicrobial and acetylcholinesterase inhibitory effects,along with some of the pharmacological mechanisms have been reported for the pure compounds or extracts of Aquilaria *** the purpose of quality control and clinical safety of drug usage,modern analytical instruments and chemical analysis methods have been applied for analyses of Aquilaria *** order to comprehensively understand the medicinal application and to fully utilize the plant,a literature search on the herb based on databases including SciFinder,Web of Science,Pubmed,Google Scholar and others was performed and the information regarding to the phytochemistry investigations,pharmacological studies and quality control was summarized in this paper.

The genus Pholidota(Orchidaceae) belongs to the tribe Coelogyneae,and comprises ca.30 species with a distribution from tropical Asia to tropical *** them,ca.14 species occur in *** Cantonensis Rolfe.,named ’Xi-Ye-Shi-Xian-Tao’ in Chinese,is a Chinese folk herbal medicine,with a long history of safe use for treating sore throat,tonsillitis,cough phlegm asthma,pneumonia,acute soft tissue trauma and *** phytochemical study on *** showed the existence of stibenoids,cycloartane triterpenoid and *** on the previous study the 80%ethanol extract of the whole plant *** was separated by chromatography on silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,MCI gel and afford22 compounds,the structures of compounds were elucidated on the basis of the chemical evidence and H-NMR,C-NMR,2D-NMR and MS *** new constituents were isolated by the column chromatography over silica gel,MCI gel,RP-18 silica gel,Sephadex LH-20 and pre-HPLC from the EtOH extract of the air-dried whole plant of Pholidota cantonensis Rolfe.,together with 18 known *** structures of the new compounds were established as l-hydroxy-2,7-dimethoxy-9,10-dihydrophenanthrene-[4,5-bcd]furan(1),5-hydroxy-2,7-dimethoxy-9,10-dihydro-l,4-Phenanthrenedione(2),ent-labd-13(E)-ene-3α,8β,15-tri-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(3),5α,10β-ent-cleroda-3,13(E)-diene-15,18-diol-15-0-β-D-glucopyrannoside-18-O-β-Dglucopyrannoside(4) by chemical and spectroscopic methods,including ID and 2D NMR.

中药(TCM)是一种天然来源的复杂体系,具有多种多样的化学成分,在中国被广泛应用。中药的质量控制对政府和检测机构来说是一项巨大的挑战,涉及大量科学问题,包括:中药中有多少成分?如何全面地描述中药的诸多成分以及随后如何表征这些成分?为了推荐对照品的选择,这些(活性)代谢产物在多成分中药中的水平和范围是什么?以及选择的指标成分成分需要哪些质量要求,并且从实用的角度看,如何以低成本在短时间内对这些成分进行定量评价?所有这些因素均需要深思熟虑,才能理解中药独特的化学性质,从而提高中药质量标准,从而为患者提供更好的和更稳定的药物治疗。为了回应这些科学问题,本文汇总了有关中药化学分析技术和方法的最新探索性研究。这些方法的进展包括针对液相色谱-高分辨质谱(LC-HARMS)联用技术的多维分离、LC-HRMS联用技术的智能触发数据依赖型采集、利用液相色谱-质谱联用技术(LC-MS)进行靶向分析、超临界流体色谱以及大的质谱(MS)数据集的数据挖掘。此外,为了节省对照品和中药质量标准的分析时间,本文提出了两种质量策略,分别是应用一标多测(SSDMC)和一法多用法。最后,本文介绍了一系列针对中药分析方法的改进。

为了快速有效检测"马兜铃类"、"木通类"及"防己类"药材及其有关制剂中马兜铃酸类衍生物,我们建立了用 HPLC-DAD-ESI/MS 法检测马兜铃酸 A、B、C、D、7-OH -马兜铃酸 A 和去硝基马兜铃酸 A 等6种主要的马兜铃酸类成分的方法。HPLC-DAD- ESI/MS 联用技术增强了分析检测的选择性和专属性。MS 选择离子扫描(SIM)更增加了检测的灵敏度。该法适用于中药材和相关中药材中马兜铃酸类成分的快速检测。

Radix Astragali,one of the most popular herbs in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),is used to strengthen the immune system,protect liver function,fight bacteria and viruses,and treat diabetes,heart failure and seasonal *** recent years,a new form of Radix Astragali material processed by cell wall disrupting technology,namely ultrafine granular powder(UGP)has been introduced into the *** order to determine chemical consistency and homogeneity of the UGP material prepared from sliced traditional materials(TM)of Radix Astragali,multiple batches of the UGP and TM samples derived from Astragalus membranaceus *** were analyzed by UHPLC/DAD-MS using isoflavones and triterpenoid glycosides as marker *** results demonstrated that the chemical profiles of UGP was identical or similar to that of TM,but UGP was highly homogeneous in terms of marker compound contents as assessed,e.g.,by the relative standard deviation values of the nine marker compounds in the range of 8.55%−43.80%for TM2 compared against 1.70%−8.38%for *** component preparation and 1H NMR analyses indicated that TM4 and its corresponding UGP4 produced similar polysaccharides,but the later had approximately two-fold dissolution rate of the polysaccharides when compared to the former(yield 7.22±0.35%vs 3.39±0.20%).This study confirms that UGP of Radix Astragali is chemically consistent and homogenous,supporting its use as a promising material in TCM prescriptions.

Docosanol is the only US Food and Drug Administration(FDA)approved over-the-counter topical product for treating recurrent oral-facial herpes simplex *** analytical methods for docosanol are required to demonstrate the bioequivalence of docosanol topical products.A gas chromatography/selected ion monitoring mode mass spectrometry(GC/SIM-MS)method was developed and validated for docosanol determination in biological *** and isopropyl palmitate(internal standard)were separated on a high-polarity GC capillary column with(88%cyanopropy)aryl-polysiloxane employed as the stationary *** ions of m/z 83 and 256 were selected to monitor docosanol and isopropyl palmitate,respectively;the total run time was 20 *** GC/SIM-MS method was validated in accordance with US FDA guidelines,and the results met the US FDA acceptance *** docosanol calibration standards were linear in the 100-10000 ng/mL concentration range(R^(2)>0.994).The recoveries for docosanol from the receptor fluid and skin homogenates were>93.2%and>95.8%,*** validated method was successfully applied to analyze ex vivo human cadaver skin permeation *** applying Abreva®cream tube and Abreva®cream pump,the amount of docosanol that penetrated human cadaver skin at 48 h was 21.5±7.01 and 24.0±6.95 ng/mg,***,we concluded that the validated GC/SIM-MS was sensitive,specific,and suitable for quantifying docosanol as a quality control *** method can be used for routine analysis as a costeffective alternative to other techniques.

In this paper,low profile frequency reconfigurable monopole antenna is designed on FR-4 substrate with a compact size of 30 mm^(3)×20 mm^(3)×1.6 mm^(3).The antenna is tuned to four different modes through three pin diode *** Mode 1(SW1 to SW3=OFF),antenna covers a wideband of 3.15–8.51 *** Mode 2(SW1=ON,SW2 to SW3=OFF),the proposed antenna resonates at 3.5 *** antenna shows dual band behavior and covers 2.6 and 6.4 GHz in Mode 3(SW1 and SW2=ON,SW3=OFF).The same antenna covers three different bands of 2.1,5 and 6.4 GHz when operating in Mode 4(SW1 to SW3=ON).The proposed antenna has good radiation efficiency ranges from 70%∼84%,providing adequate average gain of 2.05 dBi in mode 1,1.87 dBi in mode 2,1.4–1.75 dBi in mode 3 and 1.05–1.56 dBi in mode *** achieved impedance bandwidths at respective frequencies ranges from 240 to 5000 *** Voltage Standing Waves Ratio(VSWR)of less than 1.5 is achieved for all operating *** validate the simulation results,the proposed antenna is fabricated and experimentally tested in antenna measurement *** to its reasonably small size and support of multiple bands operation,the proposed antenna can be used in modern communication systems for supporting various applications such as fifth generation(5G)mobile and wireless local area networks(WLAN).

Traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs), a complex system of natural resources with many diverse components, are widely used as approved medicinal agents in China. Quality control of TCMs is a huge challenge for the government and for testing institutes and is associated with numerous scientific issues. Among these considerations include the following questions: How many components are in TCMs? How can the multiple components in TCMs be comprehensively delineated and subsequently characterized? What is the level and range of these (active) metabolites within these multiple-component TCMs, in order to recommend standards? and What are the qualities required for a marker constituent to be selected, and from a practical perspective, how can these components be assessed with low cost and in a short time? All of these factors require significant and deep thinking in order to understand the individualistic chemistry of TCM in order to develop enhanced TCM quality standards for improved and consistent patient care. In this review, the latest exploratory research in TCM chemistry analytical techniques and methods is summarized in order to begin to develop responses to these scientific issues. Advances in these methods have included multidimensional separation for liquid chromatography–high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC–HRMS), smart triggering data-dependent acquisition of LC–HRMS, target analysis with liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS), supercritical fluid chromatography, and data mining of large mass spectrometry (MS) datasets. In addition, two quality strategies have been introduced in order to save reference standards and the analysis time for a TCM quality standard, including the application of the single standard to determine multi-components (SSDMC) and monomethodheterotrait matrix methods. Finally, a series of future improvements for analytical methods for TCMs are proposed.
