Tailoring uniform γ-MnO2 nanosheets on highly conductive three-dimensional current collectors for high-performance supercapacitor electrodes

Recent efforts have focused on the fabrication and application of three- dimensional （3-D） nanoarchitecture electrodes, which can exhibit excellent electrochemical performance. Herein, a novel strategy towards the design and synthesis of size- and thickness-tunable two-dimensional （2-D） MnO2 nanosheets on highly conductive one-dimensional （l-D） backbone arrays has been developed via a facile, one-step enhanced chemical bath deposition （ECBD） method at a low temperature （-50 ℃）. Inclusion of an oxidizing agent, BrO3-, in the solution was crucial in controlling the heterogeneous nucleation and growth of the nanosheets, and in inducing the formation of the tailored and uniformly arranged nanosheet arrays. We fabricated supercapacitor devices based on 3-D MnO2 nanosheets with conductive Sb-doped SnO2 nanobelts as the backbone. They achieved a specific capacitance of 162 F·g-1 at an extremely high current density of 20 A·g% and good cycling stability that shows a capacitance retention of -92% of its initial value, along with a coulombic efficiency of almost 100% after 5,000 cycles in an aqueous solution of I M Na2SO4. The results were attributed to the unique hierarchical structures, which provided a short diffusion path of electrolyte ions by means of the 2-D sheets and direct electrical connections to the current collector by 1-D arrays as well as the prevention of aggregation by virtue of the well-aligned 3-D structure.

The hippocampus is a brain region responsible for learning and memory functions. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of low-intensity exercise and bright light exposure on neurogenesis and brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression in adult rat hippocampus. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to control, exercise, light, or exercise ＋ light groups （n = 9 per group）. The rats in the exercise group were subjected to treadmill exercise （5 days per week, 30 minutes per day, over a 4-week period）, the light group rats were irradiated （5 days per week, 30 minutes per day, 10 000 Ix, over a 4-week period）, the exercise ＋ light group rats were subjected to treadmill exercise in combination with bright light exposure, and the control group rats remained sedentary over a 4-week period. Compared with the control group, there was a significant increase in neurogenesis in the hippocampal dentate gyrus of rats in the exercise, light, and exercise ＋ light groups. Moreover, the expression level of brain-derived neurotrophic factor in the rat hippocampal dentate gyrus was significantly higher in the exercise group and light group than that in the control group. Interestingly, there was no significant difference in brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression between the control group and exercise ＋ light group. These results indicate that low-intensity treadmill exercise （first 5 minutes at a speed of 2 m/min, second 5 minutes at a speed of 5 m/min, and the last 20 minutes at a speed of 8 m/min） or bright-light exposure therapy induces positive biochemical changes in the brain. In view of these findings, we propose that moderate exercise or exposure to sunlight during childhood can be beneficial for neural development.

AIM:To evaluate the expression status of S-phase kinase-associated protein 2(Skp2)/cyclin-dependent kinases regulatory subunit 1(Cks1)and p27kip1,and assess the prognostic significance of Skp2/Cks1 expression with p27kip1in patients with extrahepatic ***:Seventy-six patients who underwent curative resection for histologically confirmed extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma at our institution from December1994 to March 2008 were *** staining for Skp2,Cks1,p27kip1,and ki67,along with other relevant molecular biologic experiments,were ***:By Cox regression analyses,advanced age(>65 years),advanced AJCC tumor stage,poorly differentiated histology,and higher immunostaining intensity of Skp2 were identified as independent prognostic factors in patients with extrahepatic *** epidermal growth factor(EGF,especially 0.1-10 ng/mL)significantly increased the proliferation indices by MTT assay and the mRNA levels of Skp2/Cks1 and p27kip1in SNU-1196,SNU-1079,and SNU-245 *** protein levels of Skp2/Cks1(from nuclear lysates)and p27kip1(from cytosolic lysate)were also significantly increased in these *** were significant reductions in the protein levels of Skp2/Cks1and p27kip1(from nuclear lysate)after the treatment of *** chromatin immunoprecipitation assay,we found that E2F1 transcription factor directly binds to the promoter site of ***:Higher immunostaining intensity of Skp2/Cks1 was an independent prognostic factor for patients with extrahepatic *** upregulates the mRNA and protein levels of Skp2/Cks1and p27kip1via the PI3k/Akt pathway and direct binding of E2F1 transcription factor with the Skp2 promoter.

A nonlinear dynamic friction control is dealt with using dynamic friction observer and intelligent cantrol. The adaptive dynamic friction obsrver based on the LuGre friction is proposed to estimate the friction parameters and a directly friction state variable The dynamic structured Fuzzy Neural Network （RFNN） is designed to give additional robustness to the cantrol system under the presence of the friction model uncertainty. A proposed composite cantrol scheme is applied to the position tracking control of the servo systen. The performances of the proposed friction observer and the friction controller are demonstrated by simulation.

Yolk-shell architectures have attracted extensive attention owing to their unique structure and infusive applications. MoS2 is regarded as one of the most promising catalytic materials for hydrogen evolution by the splitting of water. In this work, a simple self-template solvothermal approach is developed for the synthesis of novel MoS2 yolk-shell microspheres with a hierarchical porous structure by reacting MoO2 microspheres with L-cysteine. A dissolution- recrystallization formation mechanism is proposed for the MoS2 yolk-shell microspheres. Owing to structural superiority, the new material architecture exhibits improved photoelectrochemical properties, including efficient hydrogen evolution reaction catalytic activities, a high photocurrent density, a small overpotential, and a low charge-transfer resistance.

Purpose: To investigate the effects of Shikonin on the proliferation and apoptosis of human oral squamous cell carcinoma Tca-8113 cell line in vitro and the role of NF-kB signal tmnsduction pathway involved。Methods: Inhibitory and apoptosis-induced effect of Shikonin was determined by MTT assay, electron microscopes, the DNA ladder and Flow cytometric analysis。Expression of ik Ba, phosphatase-ik Ba, Bcl-2 and Bax proteins were detected by Westem blot, NF-k B DNA-binding activity was detected by EMSA, and activities of caspase 3, caspase 8 and caspase 9 were analyzed by ELISA。Results: Treatment of the Tca-8113 cells with a variety of concentrations of shikonin (l 0 - 40 la M) resulted in dose- and time-dependent sequences of events marked by apoptosis, as shown by loss of cell viability, chromatin condensation, intemucleosomal DNA fragmentation, and sub-Gl phase accumulation。Furthermore, apoptosis in the Tca-8113 cells was accompanied by the activation ofprotease caspase 8, 9, 3 and low expression ofbcl-2 protein。Interestingly, inactivation of the NF-k B pathway was found in shikonin-induced apoptosis in Tca-8113 cells。Conclusion: Shikonin could effectively inhibit the proliferation of Tca-8113 cell lines and induce apoptosis。Anti-tumor effects of shikonin in Tca-8113 cells act at least partly through the inactivation of NF-k B pathway and subsequent activation of protease caspase family。Pharmacologic inhibition of the NF-k B activity by shikonin might be a powerful treatment option for OSCC。

为了准确预测规格材抗弯强度与木节之间的关系,选取含不同类型、尺寸木节的兴安岭落叶松规格材,分别截取清材试样和足尺试样进行抗弯试验,并对试验数据进行了回归分析.结果表明,对于足尺试样,采用其平均密度ρa和最大降等缺陷处木节截面受拉侧的ik/Ig来拟合足尺抗弯强度ff效果最佳,相关系数R2为0.753,均方根RMSE为4.71;木节对足尺抗弯强度的影响相对于密度几乎同等重要.建立了足尺抗弯强度、清材抗弯强度和木节信息之间的理论模型.
