To improve childhood Tuberculosis management, the National Tuberculosis Program implemented a package of interventions Hospital DOTS linkages (HDL) in 2015 in 144 tertiary and secondary care hospitals across Pakistan. This included systematic engagement of hospital administration and all specialist doctors, staff training and regular facility-based review meetings. HDL was associated with 35% increase in childhood TB notifications in 2015 (versus 2014) in HDL sites as compared to 16% increase in non-HDL sites. The increase was seen across provinces, age-groups and sexes, but did not correlate with presence of Xpert MTB/RIF®?or “screeners” (health workers deployed to screen children for TB).

Drought is primarily an agricultural phenomenon that refers to conditions where plants are responsive to certain levels of moisture stress that affect both the vegetative growth and yield of crops. It occurs when supply of moisture stored in the soil is insufficient to meet the optimum need of a particular type of crop. Causes of drought in Bangladesh are related to climate variability and non-availability of surface water resources. While it may be possible to indicate the immediate cause of a drought in a particular location, it often is not possible to identify an underlying cause. Therefore, to improve all these services in favour of enhancing agricultural production and reducing food insecurity in Bangladesh, it is mandatory to develop an effective way for disseminating the SPI data indicating drought indices to farmers, and enhance drought and climate resilience. To develop future plan and policy in agricultural sector of Bangladesh, it is vital to understand the previous droughts events with accurate indicators. Since this study will contribute to the agricultural development of Bangladesh therefore there is an obvious need to understand the change of drought frequency all over Bangladesh using a standardized drought index. The main intention of this project is to prepare a proper baseline for forecasting drought indices using SPI data. So, the final outcome of this project would be a knowledge base where a proper forecasting tools and dissemination networks can be updated/developed for farmers.

Malic acid(MA)is an important flavor acid in fruits and acts as a mediator in a series of metabolic *** is important to understand the factors affecting MA metabolism for fruit flavor improvement and to understand MA-mediated biological ***,themetabolic accumulation of MA is controlled by complex heredity and environmental factors,making it difficult to predict and regulate the metabolism of *** this study,we carried out a genome-wide association study(GWAS)on MA using eight milestone models with two-environment repeats.A series of associated SNP variations were identified from the GWAS,and 15 high-confidence annotated geneswere further predicted based on linkage disequilibrium and lead *** transcriptome data of candidate geneswere explored within different tomato organs as well as various fruit tissues,and suggested specific expression patterns in fruit *** on the genetic parameters of population differentiation and SNP distribution,tomato MA content has been more influenced by domestication sweeps and less affected by improvement sweeps in the long-term history of tomato *** addition,genotype×environment interaction might contribute to the difference in domestication phenotypic data under different *** study provides new genetic insights into how tomato changed its MA content during breeding and makes available function-based markers for breeding by marker-assisted selection.

目的探讨Crk SH3域结合鸟嘌呤核苷酸交换因子(C3G)在胃癌组织中的表达及其临床意义。方法利用Oncomine等生物信息大数据库,分析C3G在肿瘤组织及癌旁组织中是否存在表达差异。2012年12月~2015年12月手术切除的胃癌病人121例,使用免疫组化法检测癌组织及癌旁组织中C3G蛋白的表达,分析C3G蛋白的表达与临床病理特征及预后的关系。结果C3G在胃癌组织中表达高于正常组织(P0.05)。结论C3G在胃癌组织中呈高表达,其高表达与胃癌发展及不良预后有关。

【目的】有机胂添加剂在畜禽饲喂后经粪尿进入环境中的潜在生态危害已引起人们的关注。本文进行了土壤蚯蚓和水生生物剑尾鱼在其暴露胁迫效应下的生物标志物分子指标研究,以期为有机胂污染的早期分子诊断和风险评估提供依据。【方法】将赤子爱胜蚓暴露于洛克沙砷(15,75,150mgAs/kg)和阿散酸(30,150,300 mg As/kg)土壤中分别于第5、10、15天采样;剑尾鱼暴露于洛克沙砷和阿散酸(12.5,2.5,0.5mgAs/L)的水环境中分别于第2、5和7天采样,进行了抗氧化酶系统(SOD、CAT、GSH-Px、GST)靶标酶活性检测;采用实时荧光定量PCR研究了GST和HSP70基因mRNA的相对表达量分析;通过RACE-PCR法克隆赤子爱胜蚓GST和HSP70基因和剑尾鱼GST基因的全长序列,并运用生物信息学分析其结构、功能和对应的蛋白质序列。【结果】(1)经洛克沙胂和阿散酸胁迫后赤子爱胜蚓SOD、CAT、GSH-Px活性均呈现先升高至第10天后出现下降变化趋势,GST活性在较高浓度下暴露初期即表现明显升高。剑尾鱼GST在阿散酸处理下出现显著抑制,GSH-Px活性在两种药物处理下呈现先抑制后增长变化,剑尾鱼SOD、CAT活性与蚯蚓变化相似。(2)成功克隆出赤子爱胜蚓GST和HSP70基因的全长序列和剑尾鱼的GST全长序列。赤子爱胜蚓GST cDNA序列全长984bp,包括一个编码206个氨基酸的621bp的ORF:HSP70 cDNA序列全长2481 bp,包括一个编码655个氨基酸的1968 bp ORF;剑尾鱼GST cDNA序列全长978 bp,包括一个编码223个氨基酸的673 bp的ORF。(3)赤子爱胜蚓经洛克沙砷处理后Hsp70与GST基因表达量均表现持续增加;阿散酸处理初期Hsp70表达量处于抑制状态,后随暴露时间延长表达量增加。剑尾鱼在较高浓度洛克沙砷处理下Hsp70的表达量出现先增加后下降,而阿散酸处理的Hsp70表达量均随着浓度和暴露时间的增加而增加,在洛克沙胂和阿散酸处理下GST基因表达量在第2天即出现显著抑制。【结论】本文从分子水平初步探讨了洛克沙砷和阿散酸对土壤蚯蚓和水生生物剑尾鱼的生态毒理效应,为有机胂的环境风险评估提供理论数据。首次克隆出的赤子爱胜蚓GST和HSP70基因全长序列和剑尾鱼GST全长序列,为下一步生态毒理研究的生物标志物筛选提供了基础。

Giant coronary artery aneurysms and coronary artery fistulae are uncommon pathologies. We present the case of an elderly woman who was referred to cardiology for investigation of possible ischaemic heart disease prior to orthopaedic surgery. The patient had developed chest pain in the setting of a septic total knee replacement associated with changes on electrocardiography. Coronary angiography revealed multiple coronary arteriovenous fistulae associated with giant coronary artery aneurysm causing steal syndrome in the setting of haemodynamic stress.

Aims:We have previously demonstrated that cardiomyocytes(CMs) of adult transgenic C57 BL/6 J mice with CM-restricted overexpression of the dominant negative Wv mutant(dn-c-kit-Tg) retain the ability to proliferate;a response normally restricted to fetal and early neonatal *** leads to a hyperplastic CM response to pressure overload with improved cardiac function and ***,we tested if this persistent CM proliferative competence allows complete,scar-less repair of the myocardium with normalization of cardiac morphology and function post-myocardial infarction(MI).Methods and *** to WT control non-transgenic littermates,dn-c-kit-Tg mice displayed i) persistent CM replicative capacity in adulthood,ii) a thicker left ventricular(LV) wall and a smaller LV cavity due to increased CM cell number,but no change in CM length,width,volume,pbidy or nucleation state,and iii) improved *** 24 hours after ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery,infarct sizes were similar in adult(16 week old) WT and dn-c-kit-Tg *** weeks post-MI,infarct size in dn-c-kk-Tg was half that in WT hearts,but significant scarring was still *** infarct size in the dn-c-kit-Tg mice was associated with improved survival,increased CM cell cycle entry,attenuated left ventricular remodelling and improved cardiac ***:Extending CM replicative capacity into adulthood improves outcomes post-MI,but healing is structurally and functionally incomplete.

印度河扇更新世发育的沉积物波结构复杂、形态多样,其形成过程的认识程度低。本次研究通过高分辨率地震数据和地震解释技术,研究了印度河扇沉积物波的波长、形态、波峰变化等形态特征;阐述了沉积物波与沉积物变形特征的差异、识别了两者的区分标志;总结了水道堤岸斜坡和区域斜坡上沉积物波的分布规律;在此基础上,讨论了沉积物波的形成机理和控制因素,分析了沉积物波的形成过程,并建立了印度河扇沉积物波的形成模式。研究表明:(1)研究区沉积物波波长平均为486.84 m,最大1473 m;波高在10~60 m之间,平均30 m。(2)沉积物波的形态有对称型和非对称型,其迁移方式有上坡迁移型、加积型和下坡迁移型;沉积物波主要发育在水道堤岸的斜坡上,在区域斜坡上也发育少量的沉积物波,这2种沉积物波波脊的走向差异很大,水道堤岸斜坡上的沉积物波主要分布于水道凹岸堤岸的外侧,距离水道越远其规模(波长、波高)越小,波脊走向近于NE-SW方向,与水道的走向平行或斜交;区域斜坡上的沉积物波波脊的走向多为NW-SE向,平行于区域斜坡的走向,离源区越远规模越大。(3)水道堤岸斜坡上的沉积物波是由水道型浊流在离心力的作用下,溢出水道的凹岸,在堤岸外侧的斜坡上沉积形成的,堤岸斜坡的角度对沉积物波的发育规模影响不大,浊流的强度和输沙量对其规模影响大;区域斜坡上发育的沉积物波是由顺坡而下的非水道化的浊流沉积形成;滑塌变形造成的起伏地貌以及早期沉积物波的存在,也都影响了后期沉积物波的发育。
