This.paper reports.on a molecular dynamics.s.udy of s.ructural rearrangements.in a copper nanocrys.al during nucleation of plas.ic deformation under uniaxial tens.on. The s.udy s.ows.that the res.lting nucleation of partial dis.ocations.on the free s.rface and their glide occurs.through local fcc→bcc→hcp trans.ormations.v.a cons.s.ent atomic dis.lacements. We propos. an atomic model for the generation of dis.ocations.and twins.bas.d on local rev.rs.ble fcc→bcc→fcc trans.ormations. with the rev.rs. one proceeding through an alternativ. s.s.em. The model giv.s.an ins.ght into pos.ible caus.s.and mechanis.s.of the generation of partial dis.ocations.and mechanical twins.in two and more adjacent planes.of plas.ically deformed nanocrys.als. The obtained data allow a better unders.anding of how plas.icity is.generated in nanos.ructured materials.

For NNPs.with two protectiv. s.ells.and pres.ure releas. s.s.em s.ch as.WWER-1000 a comprehens.v., pas.iv.-mode env.ronmental protection s.s.em of decontamination of the radioactiv. s.eam-air mixture from the containment and the intercontainment area was.s.gges.ed. This.s.s.em includes.the “wet” s.age (s.rubbers. etc.), the “dry” s.age (s.rption module), and als. an ejector, which in a pas.iv. mode is.capable of s.lv.ng the multi-purpos. tas. of decontamination of the air-s.eam mixture. For WWER-440/230 NPPs.three protection lev.ls. 1) a jet-v.rtex condens.r;2) the s.ray s.s.em;3) a s.rption module were s.gges.ed and ins.alled. For modern des.gns.of new generation NPPs. which do not prov.de for pres.ure releas. s.s.ems. a new pas.iv. filtering s.s.em together with the pas.iv. heat-remov.l s.s.em, which can be us.d during s.v.re accidents.in cas. all power s.pply units.become unav.ilable, was.propos.d and after modernization was.ins.alled at the KudanKulam NPP (India).

Objectiv.s. Although people with amnes.ic mild cognitiv. impairment (aMCI) benefit from cerebrolys.n treatment, s.me s.ill dev.lop dementia. The aim of the current s.udy was.to identify mos. informativ. clinical as.es.ment tes.s.to predict the therapy efficacy in aMCI s.bjects.treated with cerebrolys.n. Methods. We s.udied patients.with amnes.ic mild cognitiv. impairment (aMCI;n = 53) who had regular neurocognitiv. and clinical ps.chiatric as.es.ments.and were treated with cerebrolys.n i.v. infus.ons.20 × 30 ml twice a year ov.r three years.period. Data were analyzed us.ng non-parametric s.atis.ics. clus.er and linear dis.riminant analys.s. Res.lts. Combined mathematical modeling enabled to predict cognitiv. decline from aMCI to dementia in the cerebrolys.n-treated patients.bas.d on their initial neurocognitiv. as.es.ment s.ores. We identified a “dementia ris. group” with fas. cognitiv. decline (i.e. low efficacy of the treatment). Lower bas.line s.ores.in the Mattis.Dementia Rating s.ale Memory s.btes., Mini-Mental s.ate Examination (MMs.), 10 word lis. immediate recall, and Frontal As.es.ment Battery tes.s.when accompanied by higher depres.ion s.ore (Hamilton Depres.ion Rating s.ale) s.gges. poor prognos.s.for aMCI patients.treated with cerebrolys.n. Changes.in s.ores.on the MMs., Bos.on naming tes., Digit s.an forward, and Wechs.er s.ale s.btes. “Categorical as.ociations. during the treatment cours. are more characteris.ic for patients.who conv.rt to dementia than their initial s.ores. Bas.d on fundamental res.arch, we dev.loped the bas.c s.heme of a decontamination s.tup to remov. acid gas.s.(HCl, s.2, NOx) from s.eam-air flows.with s.multaneous.localization of radioactiv. aeros.ls. including aeros.ls.with a particle s.ze of les. than 0.1 μm and v.latile radioactiv. iodine compounds. The decontamination proces. is.bas.d on the method of the agglomeration cocrys.allization of finely dis.ers.d and other aeros.ls.in the gas.phas. by including the aeros.ls.in the inner s.ructure of large-particle non-radioactiv. aeros.ls.of ammonium s.lts. for example, NH4Cl or (NH4)2s.3. For 137Cs. the mos. ecologically dangerous.long-liv.d radionuclide, the s.tup ens.res.a decontamination factor of 102 to 103 in one decontamination s.age. Becaus. the s.tup cons.s.s.of three cons.cutiv. s.ages.of the s.me type, the cumulativ. decontamination factor can reach to 106 - 107. To localize radioactiv. iodine as.I2, HI, HOI, HIO3, and CH3I from v.por-air flows. the s.tup us.s.a unit containing s.ecial granulated s.rbents.bas.d on inorganic compounds. Thes. are granulated s.rbents.bas.d on large-pore s.lica gel containing nanometric particles.of Ag or Ag-Ni compounds.(trademark Fizkhimin). The s.rbents.allow to remov. v.rious.radioactiv. iodine s.ecies.(inorganic ones.and methyl iodide) from a s.eam-gas.phas. with at leas. 104 decontamination factor. The high s.rption properties.of Fizkhimin s.rbent with Ag particles.were confirmed during tes.s.at a tes. facility of the TUv.s.dwes. company (Karls.uhe, Germany). This.pas.iv. filtration s.s.em is.ins.alled at the 1s. and 2nd units.of the Kudankulam nuclear power plant (India) and it is.unique in the world practice.
