Natural dyes have become an interesting subject of study because of their better ecological properties in comparison to their synthetic *** article concerns the dyeing of wool,silk,and polyamide fabrics with natural dyes extracted from almond shells and *** developed method of dyeing by these extracts is interesting and very attractive for several reasons:firstly,the extracts used are the black liquor discharged from the industries of delignification,which is a chemical process for removing lignin from agricultural wastes to produce a cellulosic fiber;(ii)these natural dyes are renewable and available in large quantities;(iii)this method is economical;and(iv)lastly,the dyeing performances of the obtained dyed textiles are very *** color of each dyed material was investigated in terms of the CIELAB coordinates and their fastness properties measured by washing,rubbing,and light.

A method to estimate aquifer artificial recharge from a hill dam in Tunisia

in arid and semi-arid areas, artificial recharge is a key technology in groundwater resources management, and a reliable estimate of artificial recharge is necessary to its sustainable development. Several methods are available to estimate the artificial recharge; however, most of them require field data or model parameters, thus limiting their applications. To overcome this limitation, we presented an analytical method to estimate the artificial recharge through monitoring the water release by piezometer and analysing the controlling factors of the artificial recharge from a hill dam in Tunisia. A total of 97 measurements of water flow in the streambed recorded from 4 gauging stations were analysed. Results indicated that the average infiltration velocity ranged from 0.043 to 0.127 m/d and the infiltration index varied from 7.6 to 11.8 L/（***）. Pearson＇s correlation coefficient analysis shows that the infiltration index, the stream gradient, the thickness of unsaturated zone, the number of infiltration pond, the stream geometry, and the water flow rate were found to be the main factors in determining the infiltration. The high correlation coefficients （0.908 for the number of infiltration pond and 0.999 for the stream geometry） mean that the number of infiltration pond and the stream geometry are the most influential factors. Time variations of groundwater level were used to analyze the recharge effects on the piezometry of aquifer. The analysis showed that during the artificial recharge, the water table increased at a rate of 5 mm/d and that the increase was limited to the area surrounding the recharge site. Based on the results of the study, building infiltration ponds along streambed and improving the potential of rainwater harvesting over the study area are recommended.

A new thermoelectric material Ag8SnS6, with ultra-low thermal conductivity in thin film shape, is prepared on indium tin oxide coated g/ass （ITO） substrates using a chemical process via the electrodeposition technique. The structural, thermal and electrical properties are studied and presented in detail, which demonstrate that the material is of semiconductor type, orthorhombic structure, with a band gap in the order of 1.56eV and a free carrier concentration of 1.46 × 10^17 cm-3. The thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, thermal conduction mode, Seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity are determined using the photo-thermal deflection technique combined with the Boltzmann transport theory and Cahill＇s model, showing that the AgsSnS6 material has a low thermal conductivity of 3.8 Wm - 1K- 1, high electrical conductivity of 2.4 × 10^5 Sm- 1, Seebeck coefficient of -180μVK-1 and a power factor of 6.9mWK-2m-1, implying that it is more efficient than those obtained in recently experimental investigations for thermoelectric devices.

Objective This research was performed to evaluate the effect of tebuconazole(TBZ)on reproductive organs of male rats and to assess the protective role of combined essential trace elements in alleviating the detrimental effect of TBZ on male reproductive *** For this purpose,48 rats were exposed to 100 mg/kg TBZ,TBZ supplemented with zinc(Zn),selenium(Se),copper(Cu),and iron(Fe),TBZ+(Se+Zn);TBZ+Cu;or TBZ+*** experiment was conducted for 30 consecutive *** TBZ caused a significant perturbation in mineral levels and reduction in reproductive organs weights,plasma testosterone level,and testicular antioxidant enzyme *** TBZ-treated group also showed a significant increase in sperm abnormalities(count,motility,and viability percent),plasma follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone concentrations,lipid peroxidation,protein oxidation,and severe DNA degradation in comparison with the ***,TBZ caused testis ***,treatment with trace elements,in combination or alone,improved the reproductive organ weights,sperm characteristics,TBZ-induced toxicity,and histopathological modifications in *** TBZ exerts significant harmful effects on male reproductive *** concurrent administration of trace elements reduces testis dysfunction,fertility,and toxicity induced by TBZ.

This aim of this study is to highlight the critical view of human action and anthropic at the steppe zone of Tlemcen. Therefore, the current paper tends to tackle an analytical study of the dynamics of ecosystems in both states: El-Gor in the south-east and El-Bouihi in the southern-west of Tlemcen. To carry out this study it was necessary to present the bioclimatic context based on weather data to perform bioclimatic syntheses (diagram ombrothermic, climagramme rainfall Emberger). By comparison between old and recent periods (1913-1938) and (1984-2009), respectively, for the region of El-Gor and (1913-1938) and (1970-1990) for the El station-Bouihi, there is a net decrease in rainfall and higher temperatures at the new periods, which means that the study areas are moving towards the driest floors. The interpretation of multidimensional treatments AFC (Factor Analysis of Correspondences) vegetation helps to determine the existing affinities between the different taxa. These biostatistical analyses help to highlight the different factors often responsible for the dynamic regressive most cases.

The two halophyte plants Mesembryanthemum crystallinum and Carpobrotus edulis (Family: Aizoaceae, Order: Cary-ophyllales), widely used in the traditional medicine, were chosen for this study. There is no much information about the antioxidant and antibacterial activities of the two plants growing in the Tunisian coasts. The most of studies conducted confirmed the responses of these plants to the abiotic stresses. We demonstrate a high antioxidant activity in the two plant extracts by using the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method. The two plant extract also exhibited antibacterial activity by using the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) against bacterial strains;Escherichia coli (ATCC 25922), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 27853) and Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 25923). The different medicinal properties can be attributed in part to the presence of polyphenolics compounds in the two plant extracts.
