With the continuous discovery and research of predictive cancer-related biomarkers,liquid biopsy shows great potential in cancer ***-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)and microfluidic technology have received much attention among the various cancer biomarker detection *** former has ultrahigh detection sensitivity and can provide a unique *** contrast,the latter has the characteristics of miniaturization and integration,which can realize accurate control of the detection samples and high-throughput detection through *** have the potential for point-of-care testing(POCT),and their combination(lab-on-a-chip SERS(LoC-SERS))shows good *** this paper,the basic situation of circulating proteins,circulating tumor cells,exosomes,circulating tumor DNA(ctDNA),and microRNA(miRNA)in the diagnosis of various cancers is reviewed,and the detection research of these biomarkers by the LoC-SERS platform in recent years is described in *** the same time,the challenges and future development of the platform are discussed at the end of the *** the current technology is expected to provide a reference for scholars engaged in related work and interested in this field.

In this paper, we construct the equations of generalized thermoelasicity for a non-homogeneous isotropic hollow cylider with a variable modulus of elasticity and thermal conductivity based on the Lord and Shulman theory. The problem has been solved numerically using the finite element method. Numerical results for the displacement, the temperature, the radial stress, and the hoop stress distributions are illustrated graphically. Comparisons are made between the results predicted by the coupled theory and by the theory of generalized thermoelasticity with one relaxation time in the cases of temperature dependent and independent modulus of elasticity.

To design and evaluate vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V)communication systems in intelligent transportation system(ITS),it is important to understand the propagation mechanisms and channel models of V2V *** paper aims to analyze the channel models at 5.2 GHz for the highway environment in obstructed line-of-sight(OLoS)and line-of-sight(LoS)scenarios,particularly the vehicle connectivity probability derivation based on the propagation model obtained from ***,the path loss(PL),shadow fading(SF),narrowband K-factor,and small-scale amplitude fading are *** showed that the received signal magnitude follows Rice and Weibull distribution in LoS and OLoS scenarios,***,we develop simple and low-complexity tapped delay line(TDL)models with a 10 MHz bandwidth for LoS and OLoS scenarios;in addition,we investigate the wideband K-factor,the root mean square delay spread(RMS-DS),and delay-Doppler ***,we derive the closed form connectivity probability between any two vehicles in the presence of Weibull fading channel,and analyze the effects of Weibull fading channel and traffic parameters on *** is found that Weibull fading parameter,transmit power and vehicle density have positive impact on connectivity probability,PL exponent has negative impact on connectivity probability.

This study was aimed at evaluating the physicochemical properties and oxidation stability of castor oil using microwave-assisted solvent extraction(MAE). MAE was performed using 5% ethanol in hexane as solvent at different extraction times, power intensities and solvent-to-feed(S/F, ml of solvent to gram of feed) *** process parameters were optimized by statistical approach using historical data design of response surface method(RSM). The oils were characterized for yield, physicochemical properties, dielectric properties and oxidation stability, and comparison was also made with oil extracted using Soxhlet method. Results show that the maximum oil yield of 37% was obtained at 20 min with microwave power intensity of 330 W and S/F ratio of 20. The main fatty acid composition of castor oil is ricinoleic acid. The density, refractive index, dielectric properties and oxidation stability of oils are not affected by the extraction methods and extraction parameters of MAE. However, the MAE-extracted oil is more viscous compared to that by Soxhlet method. With extra caution on oil oxidation, MAE could be a promising solvent extraction method with an 86% less in processing time and a higher yield.

Avian embryos,which develop within eggs,exhibit remarkable tolerance to extremely low *** being a common trait among all birds,the mechanisms underlying this cold tolerance in avian embryos remain largely *** gain a better understanding of this phenomenon and the coping mechanisms involved,we reviewed the literature on severe cold tolerance in embryos of both wild and domestic *** found that embryos of different bird orders exhibit tolerance to severe cold during their *** response to cold stress,embryos slow down their heartbeat rates and *** severe cold temperatures,embryos can suspend these processes,entering a torpid-like state of cardiac *** compensate for these developmental delays,embryos extend their regular incubation *** on their embryonic age,embryos of all bird species can tolerate acute severe cold regimes;only a few tolerate chronic severe cold *** also discussed various extrinsic and intrinsic factors that affect the tolerance of bird embryos to low temperatures before and after *** tolerance appears to be a heritable trait shared by wild and domestic embryos of all bird classes,regardless of egg size or development(altricial/precocial).Driven by environmental variability,cold tolerance in avian embryos is an optimal physiological and ecological strategy to mitigate the adverse effects of cold conditions on their development in response to fluctuating environmental temperatures.

In this paper,a new proposal for the implementation of the well-known direct power control(DPC)technique in grid-connected photovoltaic(PV)systems is ***,the DPC is executed using a look-up table procedure based on the error between the actual and reference values of the active and reactive ***,the structure of the DPC is simple and results in a fast transient behavior of the inner current loop(injected currents).Therefore,in the current study,the DPC is reformulated using a dead-beat *** this formulation,the reference voltage vector(RVV)is obtained in theα-βreference ***,the switching states for the inverter can be obtained based on the sign of the components of the *** suggested DPC is compared with the conventional one and other switching tables,which are intended for performance ***,an extended Kalman filter(EKF)is utilized to eliminate all grid-voltage ***,the switching frequency of the proposed technique is minimized without any need for weighting factors or cost function *** overall control technique is validated using a hardware-in-the-loop(HIL)experimental set-up and compared with other schemes under different operating conditions.

The two-dimensional problem of generalized thermoelastic diffusion material with thermal and diffusion relaxation times is investigated in the context of the Lord-Shulman theory. As an application of the problem, a particular type of thermal source is considered and the problem is solved numerically by using a finite element method. The components of displacement, stress, temperature distribution chemical potential and mass concentration are obtained. The resulting quantities are depicted graphically for a special model. An appreciable effect of relaxation times is observed on various resulting quantities.
