The Aeromonas species, belonging to the family Aeromonadaceae, are opportunistic pathogens found in humans with an incidence rate of 76 cases per million inhabitants in Southern *** incidence of Aeromonas septicemia is relatively low, accounting for less than 15% of *** diagnosed with Aeromonas hydrophila bacteremia who were presented with skin blisters and septic shock have been reported to have a mortality rate of 100%.Aeromonas infection must be considered in the differential diagnosis of gangrene-like tissue damage or skin lesions in patients with end-stage renal disease, due to the potential sources of infections.A 49-year-old Taiwan Residents diabetic woman with end-stage renal disease had underwent regular *** was referred to our hospital due to a one-day course of fever, dyspnea, hypotension, and fulminant hemorrhagic blisters covering her whole body.A physical examination uncovered multiple hemorrhagic blisters, along with a ruptured blister over the lower left *** tests revealed an elevation of liver enzymes, impaired renal function, lactatemia, and high anion-gap metabolic *** of both blood and hemorrhagic blister fluid grew Aeromonas ***, she experienced persistent shock despite aggressive intravenous fluid, empiric antibiotics, and inotropic agents with norepinephrine and *** diagnosis and prompt management using intravenous fluids, antibiotics and surgical debridement is recommended in order to improve a patient's survival rate.

Persistent hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection results in chronic liver diseases that may progress to chronic hepatitis,liver cirrhosis,and subsequent hepatocellular *** studies demonstrated that adaptive immunity,in particular CD8 T cells,is critical in HBV *** studies have revealed a distinct tissue-localized T cell lineage,tissue-resident memory(TRM)cells,that is crucial for protective immunity in peripheral *** this study,we showed that treatment with an anti-asialo GM1(ASGM1)antibody(Ab),which depletes NK cells,led to impairment of HBV clearance in a mouse animal ***,the ability to clear HBV was not significantly impaired in NFiL3 KO mice,which are deficient in NK cells,implying that other non-NK ASGM1-positive immune cells mediate HBV *** isolated intrahepatic ASGM1-positive cells from NFiL3 KO mice and analyzed the immune phenotype of these *** results demonstrated a distinct population of CD44+LFA-1hi CD8 T cells that were the major intrahepatic ASGM1-positive immune cells in NFiL3 KO ***,transcriptome analysis revealed that these ASGM1-positive CD8 T cells had distinct gene profiles and shared a similar core gene signature with TRM *** addition to both transcriptional and phenotypic liver residency characteristics,ASGM1-positive CD8 T cells were able to home to and be retained in the liver after adoptive *** together,our study results indicate that these ASGM1-positive liver-resident CD8 T cells are the major effector immune cells mediating anti-HBV immunity.

Purpose: To investigate whether athletes who engage in different modes of sports training correspondingly exhibit different patterns of performance on general cognition ***: Sixty participants were recruited into an endurance, motorically complex, or control group, and were administered a series of physical tests and neuropsychological ***: Athletes in the endurance group demonstrated the highest levels of cardiovascular fitness and those in the motorically complex group exhibited the highest levels of motor fitness. Nonetheless, no differences in cognitive performance were observed between the 3 ***: These findings indicate that the mode of sport training, which results in either high cardiovascular or high motor fitness, bears no relationship to measures of general cognition in elite athletes. The present findings suggest that coaches and athletic trainers should be encouraged to monitor athletes' stress levels during training in order to maximize the beneficial effects of such training on general cognitive performance.

Endometriosis coexisting with a dermoid cyst of the ovary is extraordinarily rare, although these both benign conditions are said to be common in women in the reproductive age group. There are only two previous case reports, which is evident from our literature review from January 1960 through January 2010. Acute abdomen is one of the greatest diagnostic challenges and easily ignored by the clinicians to exclude the possibility of gynecologic illness. A 35-year-old woman was referred by the doctor in Family clinic. She experienced a three-day period of severe right lower abdominal pain and intermittent vomiting. Ultrasonography identified a bilocular, cystic, hypoechoic, and hyperechoic tumor, 7 cm×6 cm×6 cm in the right adnexal region. Laparoscopic cystectomy was performed under the impression of ovarian cyst with torsion or hemorrhage. The frozen section was benign and appendiceal status was adequate. Histopathologic examination described an ovarian cyst composed of endometrial-type lining with stroma cells （endometriosis） and benign terotoma tissue with plenty of skin appendages and sebaceous glands. We report this unusual and interesting ovarian mass to remind physicians that the usage of the Endobag after cystectomy, the benefits on minimizing operative time, spilled opportunity, and postoperative complications. Laparoscopic techniques for large ovarian masses might be considered. The experience of the surgeon is also very important to prevent misdiagnosis or complication. Further follow up is mandatory for this simultaneous finding of ovarian endometriosis with coincidental dermoid cyst as a separate pathology in single ovary of such a nature. it also presents a challenge to the clinicians and to the pathologists.

Recently, the high-tech industry has become a key industry for economic development in many countries. However, vibration sensitive equipment located in these industrial buildings is vulnerable during earthquakes, which may cause huge economic loss. in this study, an innovative isolator for safeguarding the vibration sensitive equipment, namely, the static dynamics interchangeable^all pendulum system （SDi-BPS） is proposed and investigated to examine its protective capability for the vibration sensitive equipment during earthquakes through a series of tri-directional shaking table tests. The experimental results illustrate that the SDi-BPS isolator can provide significant damping to rolling types of base isolation systems for reducing the bearing displacement and size, and avoid the stress concentration, which can cause damage or scratches on the rolling surface of the isolator, to prolong its life span of service. The SDi-BPS isolator also provides excellent capability in protecting the vibration sensitive equipment and exhibits a stable behavior under long terms of service loadings and earthquakes.

Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP) is a systemic vasculitis of the small vessels of the skin, joints, Gi tract, and kidney. it preferentially affects children but may also occur in adults. We report a 60-year-old man with HSP who presented with colicky abdominal pain, bloody diarrhea, arthralgia, and skin rash. The gastrointestinal tract was viewed by upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. We found characteristic endoscopic findings in the stomach, cecum and sigmoid colon, the combination of which has rarely been demonstrated in one patient. Histologic examination of skin biopsy specimens revealed leukocytoclastic vasculitis with positive staining for igA in the capillaries. Endoscopy appears to have substantial diagnostic utility in patients suspected of having HSP, especially when abdominal symptoms precede the cutaneous lesions.

Purpose To compare physical activity and sedentary behavior between four commonly used subjective and objective meas-ures:the 7-day Physical Activity Recall (7DPAR),international Physical Activity Questionnaire (iPAQ),pedometer,and *** A total of 130 college students completed four measures for the same 7 *** composition was measured using a bioelectric impedance *** signed rank tests and Spearman correlations were performed to compare estimates between activity *** Spearman correlations between different activity measures were further examined separately for the higher and the lower body fat *** Compared with accelerometer-derived data,both the 7DPAR and the iPAQ overestimated light physical activity(P ile underestimated sedentary behavior (P isons,the highest correlation was found between accelerometers and pedometers on steps/day (r =0.72,P iPAQ were correlated with each other for all physical activity variables and sedentary behavior (r =0.37-0.45).There were low correlations (r=0.20-0.47) between the 7DPAR,the iPAQ,and accelerometers in sedentary behavior,light physical activity,and vigorous physical *** correlations between different activity modalities were observed among individuals with lower body fat(r=0.41-0.80) than among those with higher body fat (r=0.31-0.65).Conclusions The 7DPAR and the iPAQ yielded comparable estimation of moderate physical activity relative to *** were significant differences in sedentary time across activity *** compositions should be considered when comparing the estimates of activity levels between subjective and objective instruments.

The title compound rac-11-t-butoxy-l,4-dihydro-l,4-methanoanthracene （C19H200, Mr = 264.35） has been synthesized and characterized by FT-iR, 1H NMR, HRMS spectra and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to monoclinic, space group P21/n, with a = 13.5240（10）, b = 8.3453（6）, c = 13.9604（9） A,β = 100.0190（10）°. The structure of the title compound comprises a norbornene unit with a t-butoxy g, roup, having a naphthalene ring fused on one side. The naphthalene is essentially planar with a maximum deviation of 0.032（2） A for atom C（3）. in the crystal, inversion-related molecules are linked by pairs of C- H...O hydrogen bonds, forming a cyclic dimer with R2z （16） graph-set motif. The C-H-..~r interactions are also observed, linking the molecules into a continuous two-dimensional framework structure.

AiM： To evaluate the optimal intervention point of a selective cyclooxygenase-2 （COX-2） inhibitor, Celecoxib, for inhibiting Helicobacter pylori （H pylori-associated gastric carcinogenesis in Mongolian gerbils （MGs）.METHODS： One hundred and twelve MGs were divided into six groups （A-F）. One hundred gerbils were inoculated with H pylor/（groups A-E）. Twelve gerbils were inoculated with vehicle broth only （group F）. After 4 wk, they were given N＇-methyl-N＇ -nitro-N-nitroso-guanidine （MNNG）（50 μg/mL） in the drinking water for 20 wk. in groups B-E, the animals were given the stock Celecoxib （10 mg/kg per day） diet from the 21st, 31st, 21st and 41st week respectively. The periods of administering Celecoxib were 30, 20, 20, and 15 wk respectively. On the 51st week, the animals were sacrificed for histological examination. Local PCNA expression was examined by the immunohistochemistry method. The expression of COX-2 protein was assessed by Western Blot. Analysis used the 2 test. The difference was regarded as significant when P value was less than 0.05. RESULTS： Seventeen percent （17/100） of H pyloriinfected MGs developed gastric cancer. All of these lesions were well-differentiated adenocarcinoma. The incidence rates of adenocarcinoma in groups A-F were 40%, 0%, 0%, 20%, 25%, and 0% respectively. The inflammatory scores were higher in group B than in other groups. There was no inflammatory response noted in group F. Celecoxib treatment resulted in a significant reduction in the proliferation of H pyloriinfected mucosal cells （groups B, C and D）（P 〈 0.01）. The expression of COX-2 protein was significantly attenuated in the groups which were Celecoxib-treated for more than 20 wk （groups B, C, D）. The groups treated with Celecoxib had a significantly lower rate of advanced gastric cancer （34% vs 75%, P 〈 0.001） There were no sudden deaths in any of the groups.
