Effects of stem cells applications on oxidative stress and apoptosis during implantation

Objective:To investigate the effects of bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cell (BMSC) application into the rat endometrium on oxidative stress, cell proliferation and ***: The female rats selected in estrous cycle were divided into three groups (saline, media and BMSC group). The intrauterine and intraperitoneal injections were performed using the saline (200 μl), culture media (200 μl) and 1×106 BMSCs/200 μl culture media, and then they were mated with male rats. On the 7th day of the pregnancy, uterine samples were harvested and dyed with heamatoxylin-eosin histochemically, anti-endothelial nitric oxide synthase and anti-inducible nitric oxide synthase, and anti-proliferating cell nuclear antigen immunohistochemically, with terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferas dUTP nick end labeling for apoptosis. The stainings were evaluated by H-score and the results were analyzed using one-way ANOVA test ***: it was found that BMSCs increased the endometrial thickness, endometrial epithelium thickness and number of endometrial glands compared to control and sham groups. The intrauterine BMSC application decreased both anti-endothelial nitric oxide synthase and anti-inducible nitric oxide synthase immunoreactivities and the number of apoptotic cells compared to the intraperitoneal applications whereas the immunoreactivity of proliferating cell nuclear antigen was ***: in current study, we define that stem cells do not cause any structural damages. Also they change the distribution of oxidative stress and cell proliferation marker. These findings support the reliability of stem cells in clinical use in the case of infertility.

The purpose of this article is to extend some spectral properties of regular Sturm- liouville problems to the special type discontinuous boundary-value problem, which consists of a Sturm-liouville equation together with eigenparameter-dependent boundary conditions and two supplementary transmission conditions. We construct the resolvent operator and Green＇s function and prove theorems about expansions in terms of eigenfunctions in modified Hilbert space l2[a, b].

Thermoelectric semiconductors based on CoSb_(3)hold the best promise for recovering industrial or automotive waste heat because of their high efficiency and relatively abundant,lead-free constituent ***,higher efficiency is needed before thermoelectrics reach economic viability for widespread *** this study,n-type in_(x)Ce_(y)Co_(4)Sb_(12+z)skutterudites with high thermoelectric performance are produced by combining several phonon scattering mechanisms in a panoscopic *** melt spinning followed by spark plasma sintering(MS-SPS),bulk in_(x)Ce_(y)Co_(4)Sb_(12+z)alloys are formed with grain boundaries decorated with nano-phase of *** skutterudite matrix has grains on a scale of 100-200 nm and the inSb nano-phase with a typical size of 5e15 nm is evenly dispersed at the grain boundaries of the skutterudite *** with the presence of defects on the Sb sublattice,this multi-scale nanometer structure is exceptionally effective in scattering phonons and,therefore,inxCey-Co_(4)Sb_(12)/inSb nano-composites have very low lattice thermal conductivity and high zT values reaching in excess of 1.5 at 800 K.

Outcome of surgical treatment of intestinal perforation in typhoid fever

AiM:To represent our clinical experience in the treatment of intestinal perforation arising from typhoid ***:The records of 22 surgically-treated patients with typhoid intestinal perforation were evaluated ***:There were 18 males and 4 females,mean age 37 years(range,8-64 years).Presenting symptoms were fever,abdominal pain,diarrhea or *** cases were subjected to segmental resection and end-to-end anastomosis,while 3 cases received 2-layered primary repair following debridement,one case with multiple perforations received 2-layered primary repair and end ileostomy,one case received segmental resection and end-to-end anastomosis followed by an end ileostomy,and one case received segmental resection and end ileostomy with mucous fistula *** morbidity was seen in 5 cases and mortality was found in one ***:intestinal perforation resulting from Salmonella typhi is an important health problem in Eastern and Southeastern *** management of this illness,early and appropriate surgical intervention is vital.
