This work proposes two fault tolerant quantum secure direct communication （QSDC） protocols which are robust against two kinds of collective noises： the collective-dephasing noises and the collective-rotation noises, respectively. The two QSDC protocols are constructed from four-qubit DF states which consist of two logical qubits. The receiver simply performs two Bell state measurements （rather than four-qubit joint measurements） to obtain the secret message. The protocols have qubit efficiency twice that of the other corresponding fault tolerant QSDC protocols. Furthermore, the proposed protocols are free from Trojan horse attacks.

We introduce the notion of commuting Ricci tensor for real hypersurfaces in the complex quadric Qm = SOm＋2/SOmSO2. It is shown that the commuting Ricci tensor gives that the unit normal vector field N becomes -principal or -isotropic. Then according to each case, we give a complete classification of Hopf real hypersurfaces in Qm = SOm＋2/SOmSO2 with commuting Ricci tensor.

AIM: To investigate whether children with congenital common bile duct dilatation(CBDD) differ from children with obstructive CBDD in cholangiographic ***: In this retrospective cohort study, the baseline data and the results of imaging analyses were reviewed among children who had endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) due to CBDD. ERCP was performed on all pediatric patients by experienced pediatric endoscopists. The maximal transverse diameter of the common bile duct(CBD) was measured on ERCP. To assess whether ageadjusted CBDD could be used for differential diagnosis, a CBDD severity index(SI) was calculated by dividing the measured CBD diameter by the age-corrected maximal diameter of a normal CBD. RESULTS: A retrospective medical chart review revealed that 85 consecutive children under 16 years of age with hepatobiliary disease and CBDD were referred to Seoul Asan Medical Center. Fiftyfive(64.7%) children had congenital CBDD and 30(35.3%) had obstructive CBDD. The two groups did not differ significantly in terms of clinical characteristics except for sex. The congenital and obstructive CBDD groups did not differ significantly in terms of mean CBD diameter(19.3 ± 9.6 mm vs 12.2 ± 4.1 mm, P > 0.05). However, congenital CBDD cases had a significantly higher mean SI than obstructive CBDD cases(3.62 ± 1.64 vs 1.98 ± 0.71, P = 0.01). In multivariate analysis, an SI value ≥ 2.32 and comorbidity with anomalous union of pancreaticobiliary duct(APBDU) in ERCP independently predicted congenital ***: Measuring the CBD may aid the differential diagnosis of both CBDD and APBDU in children.

Safety related accidents of buildings and civil engineering structures have been reported all over the world. With the increasing importance of securing the safety of social infrastructure and optimum performance levels to prevent these accidents, a lot of attention has been concentrated on monitoring performance degradation due to structural defects and deterioration. In this study, the algorithm was developed to evaluate the safety of structures by analyzing signals of time domain and frequency domain, and the developed algorithm was verified through a forced vibration test. From the results of time-domain and frequency-domain data analysis, the damage detection results by each sensor location with a high degree of accuracy were derived in both methods.

Oxide semiconductor SrTiO3 single crystals are exposed to a reducing atmosphere H2/N2 to induce the reduction of Ti4＋ to Ti3＋ and the release of oxygen from the lattice compensating the reduction of the Ti ions. In a reducing atmosphere H2/N2 the optical edge brings about a red shift. The infrared reflection spectra suggest that the （11） STO single crystal surface can be terminated by the domain of the SrO or TiO2 alternative layer during the reduction. The anisotropy and asymmetry of optical second-harmonic intensity explain a slight shrinkage. The dielectric constant reaches about 6000 and shows almost frequency dependence at all temperatures. With the increasing temperature, the dielectric constant increases rapidly. The high temperature region and low temperature region have activation energies of 0.89 and 1.04, respectively.

This study deals with the recycling of carbon steel slag (CSS) to produce self-consolidating concrete (SCC). Since the chemical composition of CSS is similar to that of Portland cement or blast furnace slag (BFS), it is expected to behave similarly. In the current study, the pozzolanic activity index of CSS is examined. Furthermore, the use of CSS as a pozzolanic material to partially replace Portland cement in the production of SCC is tested. We designed concrete mixtures with different water-tocementitious material ratios (w/cm) keeping water and superplasticizer (SP) contents constant. Results showed that the design and performance of all the concrete mixtures used in this investigation were comparable to those of SCC and high performance concrete (HPC). However, compared to ordinary plain concrete (OPC), the additional CSS content increases the setting time. In the CSS mixtures set for 90 d, compressive strengths of 86%, 134% and 121% were attained as compared to the control concrete; the corresponding w/cm ratios were 0.28, 0.32 and 0.40, respectively. Verifying the soundness of the SCC for meeting the criteria for HPC, the ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) of CSS was found to be comparable to that of ordinary concrete. In conclusion, the recycling of CSS can be advantageously employed in the production of SCC.

Recently, the quasi-two-dimensional electron gas （q2DEG） confined at the interface between LaAlO3 and SrTiO3 has attracted significant attention. In this paper, we briefly review experimental methods that have been used to tune the carrier density and mobility of this q2DEG. These methods can be classified into two categories： growth-related tuning （i.e. substrate, growth temperature, oxygen pressure, post-annealing, LaAlO3 thickness, stoichiometry, and capping layers） and post-growth tuning （i.e. electrostatic field gating, conductive atomic force microscopy and surface adsorbates）. Taken together, these methods enable the broad tuning of the electronic properties of this interface.
