All-in-one treatments represent a paradigm shift in future *** example,inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is mainly diagnosed by endoscopy,which could be applied for not only on-site monitoring but also the intestinal lesion-targeted spray of injectable ***,molecular conjugation to the hydrogels would program both lesion-specific adhesion and drug-free *** study validated this concept of all-in-one treatment by first utilizing a well-known injectable hydrogel that underwent efficient solution-to-gel transition and nanomicelle formation as a translatable *** properties enabled spraying of the hydrogel onto the intestinal walls during ***,peptide conjugation to the hydrogel guided endoscopic monitoring of IBD progress upon adhesive gelation with subsequent moisturization of inflammatory lesions,specifically by *** peptide was designed to mimic the major component that mediates intestinal interaction with Bacillus subtilis flagellin during IBD ***,the peptide-guided efficient adhesion of the hydrogel nanomicelles onto Toll-like receptor 5(TLR5)as the main target of flagellin binding and *** peptide binding potently suppressed inflammatory signaling without drug loading,where TLR5 and Notch-1 operated collaboratively through downstream actions of tumor necrosis *** results were produced using a human colorectal cell line,clinical IBD patient cells,gut-on-a-chip,a mouse IBD model,and pig experiments to validate the translational utility.

All-solid-state batteries(ASSBs)are pursued due to their potential for better safety and high energy ***,the energy density of the cathode for ASSBs does not seem to be satisfactory due to the low utilization of active materials(AMs)at high *** small amount of solid electrolyte(SE)powder in the cathode,poor electrochemical performance is often observed due to contact loss and non-homogeneous distribution of AMs and SEs,leading to high tortuosity and limitation of lithium and electron transport ***,we propose a novel cathode design that can achieve high volumetric energy density of 1258 Wh L^(-1)at high AM content of 85 wt%by synergizing the merits of AM@SE core–shell composite particles with conformally coated thin SE shell prepared from mechanofusion process and small SE *** core–shell structure with an intimate and thin SE shell guarantees high ionic conduction pathway while unharming the electronic *** addition,small SE particles play the role of a filler that reduces the packing porosity in the cathode composite electrode as well as between the cathode and the SE separator *** systematic demonstration of the optimization process may provide understanding and guidance on the design of electrodes for ASSBs with high electrode density,capacity,and ultimately energy density.

This study presents a machine learning-based method for predicting fragment velocity distribution in warhead fragmentation under explosive loading *** fragment resultant velocities are correlated with key design parameters including casing dimensions and detonation *** paper details the finite element analysis for fragmentation,the characterizations of the dynamic hardening and fracture models,the generation of comprehensive datasets,and the training of the ANN *** results show the influence of casing dimensions on fragment velocity distributions,with the tendencies indicating increased resultant velocity with reduced thickness,increased length and *** model's predictive capability is demonstrated through the accurate predictions for both training and testing datasets,showing its potential for the real-time prediction of fragmentation performance.

Flexible Zn-based batteries have attracted increasing research interest as essential components of wearable energy storage ***,the advancement of flexible aqueous Zn-based batteries based on Co-Ni layered double hydroxide (CoNi-LDH) as the cathode material is hampered by their poor cycling stability and the corrosiveness of alkaline ***,CoNi-LDH nanosheets enriched with H vacancies (CoNi-LDH(v)) were constructed on a flexible carbon cloth (CC) substrate via electrochemical deposition and *** Zn-based battery comprising CoNi-LDH(v)@CC as the cathode exhibited highly reversible conversion reactions and stable operation in 3 M ZnSO4electrolyte (pH=4).The battery delivered an excellent specific capacity (225 mA h g^(-1),0.26 mA h cm^(-2)),acceptable cycling stability(53.9%,900 cycles),and high discharging *** abundant H vacancies served as active sites for the reversible intercalation of Zn^(2+)and the extravasation of NO_(3)-generated channels and space for Zn^(2+)transport and storage,together enabling an excellent Zn^(2+)storage ***,a sandwich-structured solid-state CoNi-LDH(v)@CC//Zn@CC battery was fabricated and was found to exhibit a noteworthy electrochemical performance and mechanical *** a proof of concept,the unencapsulated battery powered a digital watch under various deformation conditions and operated stably for 80 ***,the flexible battery displayed outstanding customizability,maintaining an open-circuit voltage of 1.42 V even after being cut *** proposed engineering strategy contributes to the realization of textiles with truly wearable energy-storage devices.

Microalgae are one of the promising feedstocks for biorefinery,contributing significantly to net-zero emissions through carbon capture and ***,the disposal of microalgal byproducts from the manufacturing process causes additional environmental pollution,thus,a new application strategy is *** this study,the Tetraselmis suecica byproduct from the carotenoid extraction process was carbonized and converted into *** converted biochar was proved to be nitrogen-doped biochar(NDB),up to 4.69%,with a specific surface area of 206.59m^(2)/g andwas used as an electrode for a *** NDB electrode(NDB-E)in half-cell showed a maximum specific capacitance of 191 F/*** a full-cell test,the NDB-E exhibited a high energy density of 7.396 Wh/kg and a high-power density of 18,100 W/kg,and maintained specific capacity of 95.5%after charge and discharge of 10,000 *** conclusion,our study demonstrated that the carotenoid-extracted microalgal byproducts are a useful resource for the supercapacitor *** approach is the first to convert *** into active materials for supercapacitors.

BACKGROUND Primary non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma of the frontal sinus is extremely *** addition,Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)has been reported to play a role in the development of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)-related malignant *** the best of our knowledge,there is no report for the HIVassociated,EBV-positive primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)in the frontal *** SUMMARY We present a unique case of HIV-associated,EBV-positive DLBCL in the frontal sinus in a 46-year-old *** tomography of paranasal sinuses revealed dense opacification of the right frontal sinus with combined soft tissue *** on the clinical and radiological findings,the initial diagnosis was complicated frontal sinusitis,presenting Pott’s puffy ***,HIV testing was positive on preoperative laboratory test,and the frontal sinus lesion was confirmed as EBV-positive DLBCL on *** Through this article,we suggest that EBV-positive DLBCL should be considered as possible diagnosis for patients with nonspecific space-occupying lesion of the paranasal *** also highlight an importance of clinical suspicion in diagnosing HIV infection because HIV serology is not routinely tested in patients with paranasal sinus problem.

Superhydrophobic and antireflective nanograss-coated glass for high performance solar cells

We present a facile method for producing superhydrophobic nanograss-coated （SNGC） glass surfaces that possess both reduced reflectivity and self-cleaning properties at the air/glass interface. The refractive index of a CaF2 nanograss （NG） layer on a glass substrate, deposited by glancing angle vapor deposition, is 1.04 at 500 nm, which is the second-lowest value ever reported so far. The fluorinated NG layer gives rise to a high water contact angle （〉150°） and very efficient cleaning out of dust with water drops. Using the dual functionalities of the SNGC glass, we demonstrate superhydrophobic and antireflective organic photovoltaic cells with excellent power conversion efficiency.

Acute myopathy associated with liver cirrhosis

AIM： Many cirrhotic patients have muscular symptoms and rhabdomyolysis. However, myopathy associated with liver cirrhosis has not been established as a disease entity. We evaluated the clinical significance of acute myopathy associated with liver cirrhosis. METHODS： We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 5440 cirrhotic patients who had been admitted to Gyeongsang National University Hospital from August 1997 to January 2003. Among these, 99 developed acute myopathies, and they were analyzed with respect to clinical and laboratory parameters, and outcomes. RESULTS： The Child-Pugh classification at the time of myopathy onset was A in 3（3.1%） cases, B in 33（33.3%）, and C in 63 （63.6%）. Infection was identified as the most predisposing factor to myopathy. Fifty percent of 18 idiopathic cases who were tested for influenza antibody were positive. Forty-two of the 99 cases were complicated by acute renal failure, and 25 （59.5%） of these expired. Apart from 6 cases lost to follow-up, 64 of 93 recovered, giving a mortality rate of 31.2%. Mortality was higher in Child-Pugh class C than in B or A. CONCLUSION： Acute myopathy can develop as a serious complication in liver cirrhosis. Its frequency, severity and mortality depend on underlying liver function, and are higher in decompensated liver cirrhosis. Influenza should be considered as an etiologic factor in idiopathic cases. It is proposed that acute myopathy associated with liver cirrhosis be called ＇hepatic myopathy; and that careful monitoring for hepatic myopathy is necessary in the patients with advanced liver cirrhosis.

A new dimmer for alternating-current directly driven light-emitting-diode lamp

A new dimmer using a mental-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) for alternating-current (AC) directly driven light-emitting-diode (LED) lamp was presented. The control method of proposed dimmer is pulse width control (PWM) method. Compared with the conventional phase-controlled dimmer, the proposed PWM dimmer can produce sine wave and did not cause harmonics problem. Furthermore, the proposed control method did not amplify the light flicker due to the independence of input voltage. Therefore, the PWM dimmer can be used as the dimmer of the AC LED lamp instead of the conventional phase-controlled dimmer. The experimental result shows that the proposed PWM dimmer has good performances.
