The aim of this study was to provide a basis for examining the molecular mechanism for the pharmacological action of ethanol. We studied di?myristoyl?phosphatidylethanol (DMPEt)’s effects on specific locations of n-(9-anthroyloxy) palmitic acid or stearic acid (n-AS) within phos?pholipids of synaptosomal plasma membrane vesicles isolated from bovine cerebral cortex (SPMV) and liposomes of total lipids (SPMVTL) and phospholipids (SPMVPL) extracted from SPMV. DMPEt increased rotational mobility (increased disordering) of hydrocarbon interior, but it decreased mobility (increased ordering) of membrane interface, in native and model membranes. The degree of rotational mobility in accordance with the carbon atom numbers of phospholipids comprising neuronal membranes was in the order at the 16, 12, 9, 6 and 2 position of aliphatic chain present in phospholipids. The sensitivity of increasing or decreasing effect of rotational mobility of hydrocarbon interior or surface region by DMPEt differed depending on the neuronal and model membranes in the descending order of SPMV, SPMVPL and SPMVTL.

The low-temperature physical vapor deposition process of atomically thin two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide(2D TMD) has been gaining attention owing to the cost-effective production of diverse electrochemical catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) applications. We, herein, propose a simple route toward the cost-effective physical vapor deposition process of 2D WSe2 layered nanofilms as HER electrochemical catalysts using RF magnetron sputtering at room temperature(<27℃). By controlling the variable sputtering parameters, such as RF power and deposition time, the loading amount and electrochemical surface area(ECSA) of WSe2 films deposited on carbon paper can be carefully determined. The surface of the sputtered WSe2 films are partially oxidized, which may cause spherical-shaped particles. Regardless of the loading amount of WSe2, Tafel slopes of WSe2 electrodes in the HER test are narrowly distributed to be ~120–138 mV dec-1, which indicates the excellent reproducibility of intrinsic catalytic activity. By considering the trade-off between the loading amount and ECSA, the best HER performance is clearly observed in the 200 W-15 min sample with an overpotential of 220 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm-2. Such a simple sputtering method at low temperature can be easily expanded to other 2D TMD electrochemical catalysts, promising potentially practical electrocatalysts.

A 1 kbit antifuse one time programmable(OTP) memory IP,which is one of the non-volatile memory IPs,was designed and used for power management integrated circuits(ICs).A conventional antifuse OTP cell using a single positive program voltage(VPP) has a problem when applying a higher voltage than the breakdown voltage of the thin gate oxides and at the same time,securing the reliability of medium voltage(VM) devices that are thick gate transistors.A new antifuse OTP cell using a dual program voltage was proposed to prevent the possibility for failures in a qualification test or the yield *** the newly proposed cell,a stable sensing is secured from the post-program resistances of several ten thousand ohms or below due to the voltage higher than the hard breakdown voltage applied to the terminals of the *** layout size of the designed 1 kbit antifuse OTP memory IP with Dongbu HiTek's 0.18 μm Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS(BCD) process is 567.9 μm×205.135 μm and the post-program resistance of an antifuse is predicted to be several ten thousand ohms.

A single poly EEPROM cell circuit sharing the deep N-well of a cell array was designed using the logic process. The proposed cell is written by the FN tunneling scheme and the cell size is 41.26 μm2, about 37% smaller than the conventional cell. Also, a small-area and low-power 512-bit EEPROM IP was designed using the proposed cells which was used for a 900 MHz passive UHF RFID tag chip. To secure the operation of the cell proposed with 3.3 V devices and the reliability of the used devices, an EEPROM core circuit and a DC-DC converter were proposed. Simulation results for the designed EEPROM IP based on the 0.18μm logic process show that the power consumptions in read mode, program mode and erase mode are 11.82, 25.15, and 24.08 ~tW, respectively, and the EEPROM size is 0.12 mm2.

BACKGROUND Identifying genetic mutations in cancer patients have been increasingly important because distinctive mutational patterns can be very informative to determine the optimal therapeutic strategy. Recent studies have shown that deep learning-based molecular cancer subtyping can be performed directly from the standard hematoxylin and eosin(H&E) sections in diverse tumors including colorectal cancers(CRCs). Since H&E-stained tissue slides are ubiquitously available, mutation prediction with the pathology images from cancers can be a time-and cost-effective complementary method for personalized *** To predict the frequently occurring actionable mutations from the H&E-stained CRC whole-slide images(WSIs) with deep learning-based *** A total of 629 CRC patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA-COAD and TCGA-READ) and 142 CRC patients from Seoul St. Mary Hospital(SMH) were included. Based on the mutation frequency in TCGA and SMH datasets, we chose APC, KRAS, PIK3CA, SMAD4, and TP53 genes for the study. The classifiers were trained with 360 × 360 pixel patches of tissue images. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves and area under the curves(AUCs) for all the classifiers were *** The AUCs for ROC curves ranged from 0.693 to 0.809 for the TCGA frozen WSIs and from 0.645 to 0.783 for the TCGA formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded *** prediction performance can be enhanced with the expansion of datasets.
