AIm: To assess intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion-weighted imaging (IVIm-DWI) for m.nitoring early efficacy of chemotherapy in a hum.n gastric cancer mouse ***: IVIm-DWI was performed with 12 b-values (0-800 s/mm2) in 25 hum.n gastric cancer-bearing nude mice at baseline (day 0), and then they were randomly divided into control and 1-, 3-, 5- and 7-d treatm.nt groups (n = 5 per group). The control group underwent longitudinal mRI scans at days 1, 3, 5 and 7, and the treatm.nt groups underwent subsequent mRI scans after a specified 5-fluorouracil/calcium folinate treatm.nt. Together with tumor volumes (TV), the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and IVIm parameters [true water molecular diffusion coefficient (D), perfusion fraction (f) and pseudo-related diffusion coefficient (D*)] were measured. The differences in those parameters from baseline to each measurem.nt (ΔTV%, ΔADC%, ΔD%, Δf% and ΔD*%) were calculated. After image acquisition, tumor necrosis, microvessel density (mVD) and cellular apoptosis were evaluated by hematoxylin-eosin (HE), CD31 and term.nal-deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated nick end labeling (TUnEL) staining respectively, to confirm the imaging findings. m.nn-Whitney test and Spearm.n’s correlation coefficient analysis were ***: The observed relative volume increase (ΔTV%) in the treatm.nt group were significantly smaller than those in the control group at day 5 (ΔTVtreatm.nt% = 19.63% ± 3.01% and ΔTVcontrol% = 83.60% ± 14.87%, P = 0.008) and day 7 (ΔTVtreatm.nt% = 29.07% ± 10.01% and ΔTVcontrol% = 177.06% ± 63.00%, P = 0.008). A scheme is proposed to generate an n-qubit cluster-type entangled squeezed vacuum state （CTESVS） based on the two-photon interaction between a two-level atom.nd the cavity fields with the cavity QED system. The CTESVS in n separate cavities can be effectively obtained after perform.ng a simple one-qubit measurem.nt on the atom. The influence of cavity decay on the CTESVS is also discussed.

A single poly EEPROm cell circuit sharing the deep n-well of a cell array was designed using the logic process. The proposed cell is written by the Fn tunneling scheme and the cell size is 41.26 μm2, about 37% smaller than the conventional cell. Also, a small-area and low-power 512-bit EEPROm IP was designed using the proposed cells which was used for a 900 mHz passive UHF RFID tag chip. To secure the operation of the cell proposed with 3.3 V devices and the reliability of the used devices, an EEPROm core circuit and a DC-DC converter were proposed. Simulation results for the designed EEPROm IP based on the 0.18μm logic process show that the power consumptions in read mode, program mode and erase mode are 11.82, 25.15, and 24.08 ~tW, respectively, and the EEPROm size is 0.12 mm2.

Objective： To investigate the effects of the flower buds extract of Tussilago farfara Linné（Farfarae Flos; FF） on focal cerebral ischemia through regulation of inflammatory responses in activated microglia. methods： Brain ischemia was induced in Sprague-Dawley rats by a transient middle cerebral artery occlusion（t mCAO） for 90 m.n and reperfusion for 24 h. Twenty rats were randomly divided into 4 groups（n=5 per group）： normal, t mCAO-induced ischemic control, t mCAO plus FF extract 300 mg/kg-treated, and t mCAO plus mK-801 1 mg/kg-treated as reference drug. FF extract（300 mg/kg, p.o.） or mK-801（1 mg/kg, i.p.） was adm.nistered after reperfusion. Brain infarction was measured by 2,3,5,-triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining. neuronal damage was observed by haematoxylin eosin, nissl staining and imm.nohistochemistry using anti-neuronal nuclei（neu n）, anti-glial fibril ary acidic protein（GFAP）, and antiCD11 b/c（OX42） antibodies in ischemic brain. The expressions of inducible nitric oxide synthase（i nOS）, tumor necrosis factor（TnF-α）, and hypoxia-inducible factor-1 a（HIF-1α） were determ.ned by Western blot. BV2 microglial cel s were treated with FF extract or its main bioactive compound, tussilagone with or without lipopolysaccharide（LPS）. nitric oxide（nO） production was measured in culture medium by Griess assay. The expressions of i nOS, COX-2 and pro-inflammatory cytokines m.nA were analyzed by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. The expression of i nOS, and COX-2 proteins, the phosphorylation of ERK1/2, JnK, and p38 mAPK and the nuclear expression of nF-κB p65 in BV2 cells were determ.ned by Western blot. Results： FF extract significantly decreased brain infarctions in ischemic rats（P〈0.01）. The neuronal death and the microglia/astrocytes activation in ischemic brains were inhibited by FF extract. ＜正＞EmBRYOnIC FL0WER1（EmF1） together with EmF2 has very important role in the maintenance of vegetative developm.nt by repressing directly the flower organ identity genes in Arabidopsis. To investigate EmF1-mediated vegetative developm.nt, we have analyzed molecular function of EmF1-Interacting protein （EmF1IP） 1, 6, and 9 that had been isolated from yeast two-hybrid screen using EmF1 as bait, and are predicted to encode a mAP kinase （EmF1IP1）, zinc-finger protein （EmF1IP6） and a DnaJ-domain protein （EmF1IP9）, respectively. Using yeast two-hybrid system, it was revealed that middle region of EmF1 shows strong interaction only with the EmF1IP1, whereas C-term.nal region of EmF1 shows the interaction with the EmF1IP6 and 9. We also found that C-term.nal region of EmF1IP1 and n-term.nal region of EmF1IP6 are involved in the interaction with EmF1, and entire EmF1IP9 is necessary for interaction with EmFl. Interestingly, the n-term.nal region of EmF1IP6 includes B-box zinc-finger domain, indicating that the B-box zinc-finger might play an important role in the protein-protein interaction. As results of subcellular localization assay of EmF1IPs, it was suggested that EmF1IP1 is localized in nucleus, EmF1IP6 in both cytoplasm and nucleus, and EmF1IP9 in cytoplasm. In addition, experim.nts using EmF1IPs::GUS and semi-quantitative RT-PCR analysis revealed that EmF1 was expressed during most of vegetative developm.ntal stages after germ.nation, but not in floral clusters including inflorescence meristem. Especially EmF1 was strongly expressed during early growth stage of vegetative developm.nt. EmF1IPs were detected in all of developm.ntal stages investigated except at 4 days after germ.nation （DAG）, but differential expressions were observed during the developm.ntal stages after 4 DAG These expression patterns suggest that the interaction between EmF1 and EmF1IPs might strongly occur during early growth stage. In this study,we developed a simple screening procedure for the determ.nation of 18 anthelm.ntics(including benzimidazoles,macrocyclic lactones,salicylanilides,substituted phenols,tetrahydropyrimidines,and imidazothiazoles)in five animal-derived food matrices(chicken muscle,pork,beef,milk,and egg)using liquid chromatography-tandem mass *** were extracted using acetonitrile/1% acetic acid(milk and egg)and acetonitrile/1% acetic acid with 0.5 mL of distilled water(chicken muscle,pork,and beef),and purified using saturated n-hexane/acetonitrile.A reversed-phase analytical column and a mobile phase consisting of(A)10 mm amm.nium formate in distilled water and(B)methanol were used to achieve optimal chromatographic ***-matched standard calibration curves(R^(2)≥0.9752)were obtained for concentration equivalent to ×1/2,×1,×2,×3,×4,and×5 fold the maximum residue limit(mRL)stipulated by the Korean m.nistry of Food and Drug *** of 61.2e118.4%,with relative standard deviations(RSDs)of ≤19.9%(intraday and interday),were obtained for each sample at three spiking concentrations(×1/2,×1,and ×2 the mRL values).Limits of detection,limits of quantification,and matrix effects were 0.02e5.5 mg/kg,0.06e10 mg/kg,and -98.8 to 13.9%(at 20 μg/kg),*** five samples of each food matrix(chicken muscle,pork,beef,milk,and egg)purchased from large retailers in Seoul that were tested,none of the target analytes were *** has therefore been shown that this protocol is adaptable,accurate,and precise for the quantification of anthelm.ntic residues in foods of animal origin.

Sialylated n-glycan isomers withα2-3 orα2-6 linkage(s)have distinctive roles in glycoproteins,but are difficult to ***-type(WT)and glycoengineered(mutant)therapeutic glycoproteins,cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen-4-imm.noglobulin(CTLA4-Ig),were produced in Chinese hamster ovary cell lines;however,their linkage isomers have not been *** this study,n-glycans of CTLA4-Igs were released,labeled with procainamide,and analyzed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(mS/mS)to identify and quantify sialylated n-glycan linkage *** linkage isomers were distinguished by comparison of 1)intensity of the n-acetylglucosam.ne ion to the sialic acid ion(Ln/nn)using different fragm.ntation stability in mS/mS spectra and 2)retention time-shift for a selective m/z value in the extracted ion *** isomer was distinctively identified,and each quantity(>0.1%)was obtained relative to the total n-glycans(100%)for all observed ionization *** sialylated n-glycan isomers with onlyα2-3 linkage(s)in WT were identified,and each isomer's sum of quantities was 50.4%.Furthermore,39 sialylated n-glycan isomers(58.8%)in m.no-(3 n-glycans;0.9%),bi-(18;48.3%),tri-(14;8.9%),and tetra-(4;0.7%)antennary structures of mutant were obtained,which comprised m.no-(15 n-glycans;25.4%),di-(15;28.4%),tri-(8;4.8%),and tetra-(1;0.2%)sialylation,respectively,with onlyα2-3(10 n-glycans;4.8%),bothα2-3 andα2-6(14;18.4%),and onlyα2-6(15;35.6%)linkage(s).These results are consistent with those forα2-3 neuram.nidase-treated *** study generated a novel plot of Ln/nn versus retention time to distinguish sialylated n-glycan linkage isomers in glycoprotein.
