Gold nanoparticle(AuNP)-assisted delivery of proteins/drugs to cells or in vivo systems has long been ***,their interaction with in vivo mimicking organoids is still largely ***,we conjugated brain-derived neurotropic factor(BDNF)to the AuNP surface and monitored how AuNP-BDNF interacts with cerebral *** suggest that AuNP-BDNF can successfully enter cerebral organoids and can be found up to 15.21μm inside cerebral ***-BDNF does not induce significant cytotoxicity to cerebral organoids at concentrations up to 2 nM and increases the expression of 75 genes compared to control cerebral *** data suggest the successful delivery of BDNF through AuNP-BDNF conjugation in cerebral organoids,and the conjugation can affect its differentiation.

Understanding the precise molecular arrangement of chiral supramolecular polymers is essential not only to comprehend complex superstructures like proteins and DNA but also for the development of next-generation optoelectronic materials,including materials displaying high-performance circularly polarized luminescence(CPL).Herein,we report the first chiral supramolecular polymer systems based on hydrazone–pyridinium conjugates comprising alkyl chains of different lengths,which afforded control of the apparent supramolecular *** supramolecular chirality is governed basically by the remote chiral centers of alkyl chains,helicity inversion was achieved by controlling the conditions under which the hydrazone building blocks underwent aggregation(i.e.,solvent compositions or temperature).More importantly,the addition of water to the system led to aggregationinduced hydrazone deprotonation,which resulted in a completely different selfassembly *** water molecules played an essential role,forming the assembly’s channel-like backbone,around which hydrazone molecules gathered as a result of hydrogen bonding *** co-assembly of an achiral hydrazone luminophore with the given supramolecular polymer system allowed the fabrication of a novel CPL-active hydrazone-based material exhibiting a high maximum value for the photoluminescence dissymmetry factor of -2.6×10^(-2).

High-mobility group box 1 was first discovered in the calf thymus as a DNA-binding nuclear protein and has been widely studied in diverse fields,including neurology and ***-mobility group box 1 in the extracellular space functions as a pro-inflammatory damage-associated molecular pattern,which has been proven to play an important role in a wide variety of central nervous system disorders such as ischemic stroke,Alzheimer’s disease,frontotemporal dementia,Parkinson’s disease,multiple sclerosis,epilepsy,and traumatic brain *** drugs that inhibit high-mobility group box 1 as a damage-associated molecular pattern,such as glycyrrhizin,ethyl pyruvate,and neutralizing anti-high-mobility group box 1 antibodies,are commonly used to target high-mobility group box 1 activity in central nervous system *** it is commonly known for its detrimental inflammatory effect,high-mobility group box 1 has also been shown to have beneficial pro-regenerative roles in central nervous system *** this narrative review,we provide a brief summary of the history of high-mobility group box 1 research and its characterization as a damage-associated molecular pattern,its downstream receptors,and intracellular signaling pathways,how high-mobility group box 1 exerts the repair-favoring roles in general and in the central nervous system,and clues on how to differentiate the pro-regenerative from the pro-inflammatory *** targeting high-mobility group box 1 in the central nervous system may benefit from differentiating between the two functions rather than overall suppression of high-mobility group box 1.

BACKGROUND The trigeminocardiac reflex(TCR)is usually caused by an increased parasympathetic tone when pressure or traction is applied to the surrounding tissue of the trigeminal ***,the inexperienced anesthesiologists may have challenges on the management of TCR *** SUMMARY This is the case of an 18-year-old woman diagnosed with hemangioma of the upper *** the operation,about 1 h after surgery started,a constant 1:1 premature ventricular complex was detected,and blood pressure was decreased when approaching the deeper part with more strong traction for exposure of the *** the management of arrhythmias,such as lidocaine and atropine,was injected,arrhythmia induced by surgical stimulation could not be eliminated *** the traction repeated,bradycardia was also repeated,despite injecting additional ***,the anesthesiologist and the surgeon decided to perform the operation only to the extent that the vascular tissue was selectively removed only at the site without the *** With TCR,anesthesiologists should perform appropriate *** addition to proper drug administration,surgeons should be consulted to cope with stopping the surgery and setting the scope of the surgery even if the site is superficial.

AIM To assess the frequencies of five health-related behaviors(smoking, alcohol consumption, body weight, sleep dura-tion, and physical activity) in Korean adults with chronic hepatitis *** Data were obtained from the 2016 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. In total, 5887 subjects(2568 males, 3319 females) over 19 years old were enrolled in this study. Interviews were performed to obtain information on demographic characteristics and medical conditions. A self-administered questionnaire and medical examination were used to assess the smoking history, alcohol use, physical activity, sleep duration, and body weight of the subjects. Chronic hepatitis B was diagnosed based on detection of hepatitis B surface antigen(HBs Ag). The subjects were categorized into HBs Ag positive and negative groups, and a complex sampling analysis was conducted to compare the health behaviors between these *** Among males, the current smoking rate in the HBs Ag positive group was higher than that in the negative group(45.5% vs 38.5%). In the positive group, the rates of monthly and high-risk alcohol use were 70.4% and 17.6% in males and 45.9% and 3.8% in females, respectively. The rate of alcohol use was similar between the two groups [P = 0.455(males) and P = 0.476(females)]. In the HBs Ag positive group, 32.3% and 49.9% of males and 26.5% and 49.6% of females were overweight and physically inactive, respectively. High-risk alcohol consumption and physical inactivity were significantly associated with self-perceived health *** Our data demonstrate that a large proportion of Korean adults with chronic hepatitis B have poor health behaviors. Further studies are needed to confirm our results.

To investigate the influence of haze on the chemical composition and formation processes of ambient aerosol particles,PM_（2.5） and size-segregated aerosol particles were collected daily during fall at an urban site of Gwangju,*** the study period,the total concentration of secondary ionic species（SIS） contributed an average of 43.9% to the PM_（2.5） ,whereas the contribution of SIS to the PM_（2.5） during the haze period was 62.3%.The NO_3 and SO^（2-）_4 concentrations in PM_（2.5） during the haze period were highly elevated,being 13.4 and 5.0 times higher than those during non-haze period,*** PM,NO^-_3,SO^（2-）_4,oxalate,water-soluble organic carbon（WSOC）,and humic-like substances（HULIS） had tri-modal size distributions peaks at 0.32,1.0,and 5.2 μm during the non-haze and haze ***,during the non-haze period they exhibited dominant size distributions at the condensation mode peaking at 0.32 μm,while on October 21 when the heaviest haze event occurred,they had predominant droplet mode size distributions peaking at 1.00 μ***,strong correlations of WSOC and HULIS with SO^（2-）_4,oxalate,and K＋at particle sizes of 〈 1.8 μm indicate that secondary processes and emissions from biomass burning could be responsible for WSOC and HULIS *** was found that the factors affecting haze formation could be the local stable synoptic conditions,including the weak surface winds and high surface pressures,the long-range transportation of haze from eastern China and upwind regions of the Korean peninsula,as well as the locally emitted and produced aerosol particles.

A robust digital receiver based on a matched filter （MF） is proposed for the radio frequency identification （RFID） reader system to enhance the reliability of signal processing in the electronic product code （EPC） sensor network （ESN）. The performance of the proposed receiver is investigated by examining the anti-collision algorithm in the EPC global Class1 Generation2 protocol. The validity and usefulness are demonstrated by both computer simulations and experiments. Based on the verification results, comparing with the conventional zero crossing detector （ZCD） based receiver, the proposed receiver is very robust against strong amplitude distortions and considerable frequency deviations happening on the backscattered signal from a passive tag.

Prompt revascularization of the superior mesenteric artery(SMA) thrombotic occlusion can prevent intestinal infarction and decrease necrosis of the bowel ***,we describe two cases who underwent successful endovascular recanalization for acute SMA thrombosis using a primary aspiration thrombectomy because of possible consequent laparotomy for survey of bowel *** two patients had dramatic pain reliefimmediately after the procedure and remained symptomfree during the follow-up period.
