We propose a novel spatial phase-shifting interferometry that exploits a genetic algorithm to compensate for geometric errors. Spatial phase-shifting interferometry is more suitable for measuring objects with properties that change rapidly in time than the temporal phase-shifting interferometry. However, it is more susceptible to the geometric errors since the positions at which interferograms are collected are different. In this letter, we propose a spatial phase-shifting interferometry with separate paths for object and reference waves. Also, the object wave estimate is parameterized in terms of geometric errors, and the error is compensated by using a genetic algorithm.

Silicon is an essential alloying element in quenching and partitioning(Q&P)steels,because it is known to suppress carbide precipitation during partitioning step and promote carbon partitioning to stabilize *** 2 wt%Si was added to 10Mn-2Al-0.2C steel,the size and fraction of the carbides formed during partitioning became smaller than in the Si-free ***,the suppression of carbide formation promoted C partitioning into austenite as ***,austenite stability was always lower with Si under the equivalent partitioning condition because Si effectively decreased the stacking fault energy of *** partitioning progressed,the both yield and tensile strengths of the Si-added steel exceeded that of the Si-free steel with the similar ductility *** was because Si was an effective solid solution strengthener,and the austenite in the Si-added steel exhibited the appropriate stability to gradually transform into martensite throughout the *** resulting strengthening effect compensated for the softening caused by martensite ***,strain hardening rate decreased continuously throughout deformation,which resulted in high tensile strength and ductility.

Because Broca＇s area and Wernicke＇s area in the brain are connected by the arcuate fasciculus, understanding the anatomical location and morphometry of the arcuate fasciculus can help in the treatment of patients with aphasia. We measured the horizontal and vertical curvature ranges of the arcuate fasciculus in both hemispheres in 12 healthy subjects using diffusion tensor tractography. In the right hemisphere, the direct curvature range and indirect curvature range values of the arcuate fasciculus horizontal part were 121.13 ± 5.89 and 25.99 ± 3.01 degrees, respectively, and in the left hemisphere, the values were 121.83 ± 5.33 and 27.40 ± 2.96 degrees, respectively. In the right hemisphere, the direct curvature range and indirect curvature range values of the arcuate fasciculus vertical part were 43.97 ± 7.98 and 30.15 ± 3.82 degrees, respectively, and in the left hemisphere, the values were 39.39 ± 4.42 and 24.08 ± 4.34 degrees, respectively. We believe that the measured curvature ranges are important data for localization and quantitative assessment of specific neuronal pathways in patients presenting with arcuate fasciculus abnormalities.

An accurate low-cost ultrasonic localization system is de- veloped for automated mobile robots in indoor environments, which is essential for automatic navigation of mobile robots with various tasks. Although ultrasenic sensors are more cost-effective than other sensors such as Laser Range Finder （LRF） and vision, but they are inaccurate and directionally ambiguons. First, the matched filter is used to measure the distance accurately. For resolving the computational complexity of the matched filter, a new matched filter algorithm with simple compution is proposed. Then, an ultrasonic localization system is proposed which consists of three ultrasonic receivers and two or mote transmitters for improving position and orientation accuracy was developed. Finally, an extended Kalman filter is designed to estimate both the static and dynamic positions and orientations. Various simu lations and experimental results show that the proposed system is effective.

Diffraction of optical field by subwavelength metallic hole is analyzed with the rigorous coupled wave analysis. The surface plasmon polaritons generated in this diffraction process can be coupled to directional beam-like radiation modes by circular surface grating structures. A simple holographic grating design equation is proposed for realizing various beaming of surface plasmon polaritons. The designed grating structures for on-axis beaming and Bessel-like beaming are demonstrated with three-dimensional electromagnetic field visualization. We discuss several interesting physical features in the diffractive beaming of surface plasmon polaritons by circular surface grating structures.

We propose an automatic three-dimensionM （3D） pupil tracking backlight system for holographic 3D display system with large image size and full-parallax accommodation effect. The proposed tracking module is applied to a holographic 3D display system with two sets of directional holographic imaging module composed of 2 × 2 large scale lens array and 22-inch high-resolution liquid crystal display 3D panel. System architecture is described and experimental results are presented.
