Associations between the use of red yeast rice preparations and adverse health outcomes:An umbrella review of meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials

Background:Red yeast rice(RYR),a natural lipid-lowering agent,is widely used in clinical ***,the existing meta-analyses concerning the safety of RYR preparations have yielded inconsistent results,and the credibility of the evidence has not been ***:This study was designed to evaluate the existing evidence and offer a comprehensive understanding of the associations between the use of RYR preparations and various adverse health *** strategy:Seven literature databases were searched from inception to May 5,2023,using medical subject headings and free-text terms(e.g.,“red yeast rice,”“Xuezhikang,”and“Zhibitai”).Inclusion criteria:Meta-analyses that investigated and quantitatively estimated associations between the use of RYR preparations and adverse health outcomes were included in this *** extraction and analysis:Two researchers independently extracted data using a standardized data collection table;any disagreements were resolved by consulting a third *** on the participant,intervention,comparator and outcome(PICO)framework in each eligible meta-analysis,a series of unique associations between the use of RYR preparations and adverse health outcomes were *** associations’effect estimates were re-evaluated using random-effect ***:Fifteen meta-analyses,comprising 186(164 unique)randomized controlled trials,were *** on A Mea Surement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews version 2,3(20%)and 12(80%)of these meta-analyses had low and critically low confidence,respectively.A total of 61 unique associations between the use of RYR preparations and adverse health outcomes were extracted from eligible *** on the random-effect models,10(16.4%)associations indicated a significant protective effect of RYR preparations against adverse health outcomes,while 5(8.2%)indicated an increased risk of adverse health outcomes related to uric acid,alanine transaminase and aspartate trans

Multi-class classification method for steel surface defects with feature noise

Defect classification is the key task of a steel surface defect detection *** current defect classification algorithms have not taken the feature noise into *** order to reduce the adverse impact of feature noise,an anti-noise multi-class classification method was proposed for steel surface *** the one hand,a novel anti-noise support vector hyper-spheres(ASVHs)classifier was *** N types of defects,the ASVHs classifier built N *** hyper-spheres were insensitive to feature and label *** the other hand,in order to reduce the costs of online time and storage space,the defect samples were pruned by support vector data description with parameter iteration adjustment *** the end,the ASVHs classifier was built with sparse defect samples set and auxiliary *** results show that the novel multi-class classification method has high efficiency and accuracy for corrupted defect samples in steel surface.

Robotic swarms are usually designed in a bottom-up way,which can make robotic swarms vulnerable to environmental *** is particularly true for the widely used control mode of robotic swarms,where it is often the case that neither the correctness of the swarming tasks at the macro level nor the safety of the interaction among agents at the micro level can be *** ensure that the behaviors are safe at runtime,it is necessary to take into account the property guard approaches for robotic swarms in uncertain *** enforcement is an approach which can guarantee the given properties in system execution and has no scalability *** some runtime enforcement methods have been studied and applied in different domains,they cannot effectively solve the problem of property enforcement on robotic swarm tasks at *** this paper,an enforcement method is proposed on swarms which should satisfy multi-level properties in uncertain *** introduce a macromicro property enforcing framework with the notion of agent shields and a discrete-time enforcing mechanism called D-time *** realize this method,a domain specification language and the corresponding enforcer synthesis algorithms are *** then apply the approach to enforce the properties of the simulated robotic swarm in the robotflocksim *** evaluate and show the effectiveness of the method with experiments on specific unmanned aerial vehicle swarm tasks.

Temporal variations of CO_2 concentration near land surface and its response to meteorological variables in Heihe River Basin, northwest China

Atmospheric CO2 concentration （CC） near land surface and meteorological variables have been measured at four sites, named Yeniugou （alpine meadow and permafrost）, Xishui （mountainous forest）, Linze （oasis edge） and Ejina （lower desert）, respectively, in Heihe River Basin, northwest China. The results showed that, the half hourly CC at night was larger than in daytime, and the daily averaged CC was the largest in winter. The averaged CC of 932 d at the Linze was about 418 ppm, was about 366 ppm in the 762 d at the Ejina. In the same period from September 23 to November 9, 2004, the averaged CC was about 625,334, 436 and 353 ppm, at Yeniugou, Xishui, Linze and Ejina, respectively. The linear relationship between daily averaged CC and air temperature T was negative, between CC and relative humidity （RH） was positive. The linear CC-atmospheric pressure （A P） relationship was negative at the Linze and Yeniugou, was positive at the Ejina. The relationship between CC and global radiation R was exponent, and soil temperature Ts was negative linear, and soil water content was complex. The correlation between CC and wind speed was not existent. Using meteorological variables together to simulate CC, could give good results.

Rare earth elements and transition metals have been found to improve the hydrogen storage characteristics of magnesium-based *** study investigated the Mg-Ho-Fe(MHF) ternary alloy prepared using the vacuum induction melting technique.X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),pressure-composition-temperature(PCT),and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) were used to analyze the alloy's phase transitions,microstructure,thermodynamics,and kinetic *** results reveal that the Mg_(98)Ho_(1.5)Fe_(0.5) alloy forms a solid solution with Ho and Fe in the magnesium *** hydrogen absorption,the activated alloy transforms into a mixture of Mg/MgH_(2) phases and nanoscale HoH_(2) ***,only the MgH_(2) phase decomposes during hydrogen desorption,while the HoH_(2) phase remains unchanged,exhibiting a positive catalytic *** alloy demonstrates excellent hydrogen absorption kinetics,achieving a capacity of 5.56 wt% H_(2) within 10 min at 360℃,owing to the combined catalytic effects of Ho and *** activation energy for hydrogen desorption is found to be 135.87 kJ/mol,which is lower than that of the activation energies of pure MgH_(2) and MgFe alloys,indicating an enhancement in desorption ***,the enthalpy and entropy changes for hydrogen absorption and desorption are determined to be-70.51 kJ/mol H_(2),-125.62 J/(K·mol) H_(2),72.83 kJ/mol H_(2),and 128.95 J/(K·mol) H_(2),***,it is worth noting that the thermodynamic properties of the alloy are improved due to the catalytic effect of Ho and Fe.

Remote sensing of air pollution incorporating integrated-path differential-absorption and coherent-Doppler lidar

An innovative complex lidar system deployed on an airborne rotorcraft platform for remote sensing of atmospheric pollution is proposed and *** system incorporates integrated-path differential absorption lidar(DIAL) and coherent-doppler lidar(CDL) techniques using a dual tunable TEA CO_(2)laser in the 9—11 μm band and a 1.55 μm fiber *** combining the principles of differential absorption detection and pulsed coherent detection,the system enables agile and remote sensing of atmospheric *** static tests validate the system’s real-time detection capabilities,including the measurement of concentration-path-length product(CL),front distance,and path wind speed of air pollution plumes over long distances exceeding 4 *** experiments is conducted with the *** of the pollutant concentration and the wind field is carried out in an approximately 1 km slant range over scanning angle ranges from 45°to 65°,with a radial resolution of 30 m and10 *** test results demonstrate the system’s ability to spatially map atmospheric pollution plumes and predict their motion and dispersion patterns,thereby ensuring the protection of public safety.

The title complex [Co(TPPO)_4] [Co(NCS)_2TPPO]_2 (TPPO=triphenylphosphine oside) was prepared by solvent evaporation method. Its crystal structure was determined by x-ray diffraction method. The crystal is rhombohedral with space group R3. The unit cell parameters are presented and the structure has been refined to a final R of 0.064.
