Atmospheric carbonyls were measured at a typical rural area of the North china Plain(NCP)from November 13.to December 24,2017 to investigate the pollution characteristics,sources and environmental *** carbonyls were detected,and formaldehyde,acetaldehyde and acetone accounted for about 81% at *** concentration of the total carbonyls in heavily polluted days was twice more than that in clean *** contrast to other carbonyls,m-tolualdehyde exhibited relatively high concentrations in the clean days in comparison with the polluted *** ratios of three principal carbonyls to CO showed similar daily variations at different pollution levels with significant daytime *** linear regression analysis revealed that the contributions of background,primary and secondary sources to three principal carbonyls showed similar variation trends from the clean level to the heavily polluted *** OH formation rate of formaldehyde showed a similar variation trend to its photodegradation rate,reaching the peak value at noon,which is important to maintain relatively high OH levels to initiate the oxidation of various gas-phase pollutants for secondary pollutant formation at the rural *** radical consumption rate and ozone formation potential(OFP) calculations showed that formaldehyde and acetaldehyde were the dominant oxidative species among measured *** for OH radical consumption,n-butyraldehyde and m-tolualdehyde were important contributors,while for ozone formation potential,n-butyraldehyde and propionaldehyde made significant *** addition,the contribution of carbonyl compounds to secondary organic aerosol(SOA) formation was also important and needs further investigation.

Degradation of metabolites of benzo[a]pyrene by coupling Penicillium chrysogenum with KMnO_4

Several main metabolites of benzo[a]pyrene （BaP） formed by Penicillium chrysogenum, Benzo[a]pyrene-1,6-quinone （BP 1,6- quinone）, trans-7,8-dihydroxy-7,8-dihydrobenzo[a]pyrene （BP 7,8-diol）, 3.hydroxybenzo[a]pyrene （3.OHBP）, were identified by high-performance liquid chromatography （HPLC）. The three metabolites were liable to be accumulated and were hardly further metabolized because of their toxicity to microorganisms. However, their further degradation was essential for the complete degradation of BaP. To enhance their degradation, two methods, degradation by coupling Penicillium chrysogenum with KMnO4 and degradation only by Penicillium chrysogenum, were compared; Meanwhile, the parameters of degradation in the superior method were optimized. The results showed that （1） the method of coupling Penicillium chrysogenum with KMnO4 was better and was the first method to be used in the degradation of BaP and its metabolites; （2） the metabolite, BP 1,6-quinone was the most liable to be accumulated in pure cultures; （3. the effect of degradation was the best when the concentration of KMnO4 in the cultures was 0.01% （w/v）, concentration of the three compounds was 5 mg/L and pH was 6.2. Based on the experimental results, a novel concept with regard to the bioremediation of BaP-contaminated environment was discussed, considering the influence on environmental toxicity of the accumulated metabolites.

Direct and green repairing of degraded LiCoO2 for reuse in lithium-ion batteries

Traditional recycling processes of LiCoO2rely on destructive decomposition, requiring high-temperature roasting or acid leaching to extract valuable Li and Co, which have significant environmental and economic concerns. Herein, a direct repairing method for degraded LiCoO2using a LiCl–CH4N2O deep eutectic solvent（DES） was established. The DES is not used to dissolve LiCoO2but directly serves as a carrier for the selective replenishment of lithium and cobalt. Replenishment of lithium restores LiCoO2at different states of charge to a capacity of 13. m Ah/g（at 0.1 C rate）, while replenishing the cobalt increases the capacity retention rate of 90% after 100 cycles, which is comparable to pristine LiCoO2. The DES is collected and reused multiple times with a high repair efficiency. This process reduces energy consumption by 3..1% and greenhouse gas emissions by 3..8% compared with the current production process of LiCoO2, demonstrating excellent environmental and economic viability.

Rapid Quantification of Chinese Medicine Zuo Jin Pill via RRLC

A rapid method based on rapid resolution liquid chromatography（RRLC） coupled with a diode array detector（DAD） was developed for the simultaneous determination of six major constituents（magnoflorine,jatrorrhizine,coptisine,palmatine,berberine and evodiamine） in traditional Chinese medicine（TCM） Zuo Jin Pill（ZJP）.The satisfactory chromatographic separation was carried on an Eclipse Plus C18 column（1.8 μm i.d.,150 mm×4.6 mm） by linear gradient elution with a mobile phase of acetonitrile-acetate *** the calibration curves show good linearity（r2 0.9998）.The detection limits and quantification limits ranged in 1.4―12 ng and 4.8―3. ng,*** intra-and inter-day precisions were less than 0.63. with accuracies 98.60%―100.78%,and the recoveries were from 99.45% to 100.46%.Furthermore,hierarchical cluster analysis（HCA） was used to evaluate the variation of the herbal *** results demonstrate that this analytical method is simple,sensitive and reliable for rapidly analyzing six major bioactive compounds in ZJPs and is helpful to comprehensively evaluating the quality of this TCM.

Successful treatment of hyperglycemia with liraglutide in a hospitalized 27-year-old patient with schizophrenia:A case report

BACKGROUND Antipsychotics are associated with abnormalities in glucose metabolism in patients with schizophrenia. Liraglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist, is Food and Drug Administration approved for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. However, ways to maintain the long-term stability of psychotic symptoms and balance the disadvantages of obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic disorders caused by antipsychotic medications remain unclear. In this study, we present a case of weight gain and hyperglycemia in a schizophrenia patient who received antipsychotic polypharmacy for 6 *** SUMMARY A 27-year-old man with olanzapine and sodium valproate-treated disorganized schizophrenia was admitted to a diabetes outpatient clinic. He was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes(fasting blood glucose, 20 mmol/L) and obesity(body mass index, 3..58 kg/m). The patient had been treated with glargine(40 IU/d) and metformin(1.5 g/d) and showed a poor response for 2 mo. Two years of liraglutide treatment resulted in stable blood glucose levels and weight loss in addition to a maintained stable mental status for a long time. The biological activities of GLP-1 significantly improved glucose levels and body weight in the schizophrenia patient treated with antipsychotic *** Liraglutide administration can be considered an effective alternative treatment for abnormalities in glucose metabolism in schizophrenia patients receiving antipsychotics.

Southeast Asian aborigines, the hunter-gatherer populations living in tropical rainforests, exhibit distinct morphological phenotypes, including short stature, dark skin, curly hair and a wide and snub nose. The underlying genetic architecture and evolutionary mechanism of these phenotypes remain a long-term mystery. We conducted whole genome deep sequencing of 81 Cambodian aborigines from eight ethnic groups. Through a genome-wide scan of selective sweeps, we discovered key genes harboring Cambodian-enriched mutations that may contribute to their phenotypes, including two hair morphogenesis genes(TCHH and TCHHL1), one nasal morphology gene(PAX3. and a set of genes(such as ENTPD1-AS1) associated with short stature. The identified new genes and novel mutations suggest an independent origin of the distinct phenotypes in Cambodian aborigines through parallel evolution, refuting the long-standing argument on the common ancestry of these phenotypes among the worldwide rainforest hunter-gatherers. Notably, our discovery reveals that various types of molecular mechanisms, including antisense transcription and epigenetic regulation, contribute to human morphogenesis, providing novel insights into the genetics of human environmental adaptation.

Mechanism of MSWI Fly Ash Solidified by Microbe Cement

Microbe cement,a new type of gelling material,has attracted wide attention due to the increasing awareness of environmental *** this paper,the microbe cement in solidifying municipal solid waste incineration(MSWI)fly ash is investigated and the effect of the microbial induction method in solidifying MSWI fly ash is compared with the traditional chemical reaction strategy by characterizing the resulted calcite and the solidification productions with electronic universal testing machine,X-ray diffractometer(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FTIR),scanning electron microscope(SEM)and atomic absorption *** results show that the MSWI fly ash solidified by microbe cement has the highest compressive strength while that of the chemical CaCO3.products is the *** XRD results show that a new hydration gelling substance(Ca2SiO4·0.3.H2O)is generated in the MSWI fly ash *** FTIR results show that the frequency of Si-O bonds and C-O bonds in the products solidified by microbe cement has shifted,while there is no change occurred in the chemical CaCO3.*** SEM results show that the microstructure of the products solidified by microbe cement is denser than that of chemical CaCO3.*** test results of heavy metals show that the microbe cement could reduce the leaching concentration of heavy metals in MSWI fly ***,the leaching concentration of Pb meets the standard requirements,while that of Cd is still slightly higher than the standard requirement.

为探究葛洲坝下中华鲟(Acipenser sinensis)产卵场的河床质特征变化规律,研究基于水声学和水下视频影像分析三峡蓄水以来现有数据(2004—2020年),研究底质表观特征与水声学特征的相关性,分析产卵场底质特征变化及其原因。结果表明:(1)硬度、粗糙度和分形维数分别与河床质充塞度、粒径和主要组成相关;(2)葛洲坝下中华鲟产卵场河床底质特征参数在2004—2020年发生了明显的变化,硬度、粗糙度和分形维数三种特征均值在2004—2012年均呈现先增加后减少的趋势(P3.产卵场含沙的底质比例在2004—2008年减少3..08%,在2008—2012年增加12.69%,在2012—2015年减少3..83.,此后其持续减少至2019年,在2019—2020年增加3..3.%,期间的底质变化可能与三峡蓄水、泥沙调度、新修水坝的蓄水运行及期间发生的洪水有较大关联,且中华鲟的自然繁殖活动明显受河床质变化影响。研究结果为葛洲坝下中华鲟产卵场河床质的推演和产卵场的恢复与重建提供基础数据。
