A comparative study on characteristics of retracted publications across different open access levels

Purpose:Recently,global science has shown an increasing open trend,however,the characteristics of research integrity of open access(OA)publications have rarely been *** aim of this study is to compare the characteristics of retracted articles across different OA levels and discover whether OA level influences the characteristics of retracted ***/methodology/approach:The research conducted an analysis of 6,005 retracted publications between 2001 and 2020 from the Web of Science and Retraction Watch *** publications were categorized based on their OA levels,including Gold OA,Green OA,and *** study explored retraction rates,time lags and reasons within these ***:The findings of this research revealed distinct patterns in retraction rates among different OA *** with Gold OA demonstrated the highest retraction rate,followed by Green OA and non-OA.A comparison of retraction reasons between Gold OA and non-OA categories indicated similar proportions,while Green OA exhibited a higher proportion due to falsification and manipulation issues,along with a lower occurrence of plagiarism and authorship *** retraction time lag was shortest for Gold OA,followed by non-OA,and longest for Green *** prolonged retraction time for Green OA could be attributed to an atypical distribution of retraction reasons.A comparative study on characteristics of retracted publications across different open access levels Research limitations:There is no exploration of a wider range of OA levels,such as Hybrid OA and Bronze *** implications:The outcomes of this study suggest the need for increased attention to research integrity within the OA *** occurrences offalsification,manipulation,and ethical concerns within Green OA publications warrant attention from the scientific ***/value:This study contributes to the understanding of research integrity in the realm of OA publications,she

SIRT1 inhibits apoptosis of human lens epithelial cells through suppressing endoplasmic reticulum stress in vitro and in vivo

Berberine alleviates ovarian tissue damage in mice with hepatolenticular degeneration by suppressing ferroptosis and endoplasmic reticulum stress

Objective:Hepatolenticular degeneration (HLD) is an autosomal recessive disorder that manifests as multiorgan damage due to impaired copper (Cu) metabolism. Female patients with HLD often experience reproductive impairments. This study investigated the protective effect of berberine against ovarian damage in toxic-milk (TX) mice, a murine model for ***:Mice were categorized into control group, HLD TX group (HLD group), penicillamine (Cu chelator)-treated TX group and berberine-treated TX group. Body weight, ovary weight and the number of ovulated eggs were recorded. Follicular morphology and cellular ultrastructure were examined. Total iron, ferrous iron (Fe2+) and trivalent iron (Fe3+) levels, as well as malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione(GSH) and oxidized glutathione (GSSG), were measured in the ovaries. Western blot analysis was used to analyze the expression of proteins related to ferroptosis and endoplasmic reticulum (er) ***:Ovarian tissue damage was evident in the HLD group, with a significant increase in ferroptosis and er stress compared to the control group. This damage was inhibited by treatment with penicillamine,a Cu chelator. Compared with the HLD group, berberine increased the number of ovulations, and improved ovarian morphology and ultrastructure. Further, we found that berberine reduced total iron,Fe2+, MDA and GSSG levels, elevated GSH levels, decreased the expression of the ferroptosis marker protein prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2 (PTGS2), and increased glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4)expression. Furthermore, berberine inhibited the expression of er stress-associated proteins mediated by the protein kinase RNA-like er kinase (PerK) ***:Ferroptosis and er stress are involved in Cu-induced ovarian damage in TX mice. Berberine ameliorates ovarian damage in HLD TX mice by inhibiting ferroptosis and er stress.

Because the volatile content of isoamyl alcohol increases sharply on the seventh day of wheat mildew infection,isoamyl alcohol can be used as an early biomarker of wheat mildew ***,only a few sensors for isoamyl alcohol detection have been reported,and these sensors still suffer from low sensitivity and poor moisture ***,the isoamyl alcohol sensitivity of 5 at%er@LaFeO_(3)(ELFO)was enhanced by loading Ag nanoparticles on the surface of the ELFO microspheres,while the optimal operating temperature was *** moisture resistance of Ag/ELFO was improved by the incorporation of g-C_(3)N_(4)nanosheets(NSs)on the surface of Ag/ELFO through electrostatic *** the requirements for practical applications in grain granaries,the sensing behavior of a Ag/ELFO-based sensor incorporating g-C_(3)N_(4)NSs at 20%relative humidity(RH)was systematically studied,and the sensor demonstrated excellent repeatability,long-term stability,and superior selectivity(791 at 50 ppm)for isoamyl alcohol with a low limit of detection(LOD=75 ppb).Furthermore,the practical results obtained for wheat at different mildew stages further confirmed the potential of the g-C_(3)N_(4)/Ag/ELFO-based sensor for monitoring the early mildew stage of *** work may offer guidance for enhancing the moisture resistance of gas-sensitive materials through the strategy of employing composite nanomaterials.

Objective:To evaluate the effect and safety of foot baths with Tangbi Waixi Decoction(TW)in treating patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods:It is a multicenter double-blinded randomized controlled *** with DPN were recruited between November 18,2016 and May 30,2018 from 8 hospitals in *** patients received basic treatments for glycemic *** received foot baths with TW herbal granules either 66.9 g(intervention group)or 6.69 g(control group)for 30 min once a day for 2 weeks and followed by a 2-week rest,as a therapeutic *** the Toronto Clinical Scoring System total score(TCSS-TS)6 points,the patients received a total of 3 therapeutic courses(for 12 weeks)and were followed up for 12 *** primary outcome was change in TCSS-TS score at 12 and 24 *** outcomes included changes in bilateral motor nerve conduction velocity(MNCV)and sensory nerve conduction velocity(SNCV)of the median and common peroneal *** was also ***:Totally 632 patients were enrolled,and 317 and 315 were randomized to the intervention and control groups,*** the 12-week intervention,patients in both groups showed significant declines in TCSSTS scores,and significant increases in MNCV and SNCV of the median and common peroneal nerves compared with pre-treatment(Perve at 24 weeks in the control group were greater than those in the intervention group(Per of adverse events did not differ significantly between groups(P>0.05),and no serious adverse event was related with ***:Treatment of TW foot baths was safe and significantly benefitted patients with DPN.A low dose of TW appeared to be more effective than a high dose.(Registry *** CTR-IOR-16009331)

2023年“中国电影国际传播”调研延续“以外国受众为调研对象、以中国电影国际传播为核心指向”的调研目标。调研以2020—2022年中国电影在海外传播平台上的整体表现为样本,从媒体关注度、社交平台表现、二次传播效果、意见领袖效能等方面出发,全面评估2020—2022年间,中国电影在海外网络的传播效果。调研结果显示,2020—2022年因全球社交隔离等原因,中国电影海外平台传播效果好于之前年份;要重视YouTube意见领袖影响效能;境外媒体整体对中国电影的报道较为积极;Letterboxd、TMDB等专业平台对影片热度有较大影响;Twitter普通群体对民生问题电影关注较多、粉丝超过1千万群体对中国动画电影关注较多。在此基础上提出,应重新建立中国电影海外传播评价体系、发挥中华文化主体性等加快“十四五”期间电影文化强国建设的方案与路径。

忍冬是一种药用历史悠久的药食同源的植物,分布广泛,药理活性显著。忍冬中含有丰富的酚酸类、黄酮类、环烯醚萜类、三萜皂苷类、挥发油等活性成分,具有抗氧化、抑菌、抗病毒等多种药理活性,通过查阅知网、万方、X-mol等多个文献数据库,着重引证近五年的主要文献,将金银花、藤、叶中的主要活性成分以及忍冬提取物的药理活性进行总结概述,为忍冬的综合开发利用及其深加工应用提供参考。
