We investigate in underdoped cuprates possible coexistence of the superconducting order at zero momentum and pair density wave(PDW)at momentum Q=(Л,Л)in the presence of a Neel *** symmetry,the d-wave uniform singlet pairing dS0 can coexist with the d-wave triplet PDW dTq,and the p-wave singlet PDW pSq can coexist with the p-wave uniform triplet *** half filling,we find that the novel pSq+pT0 state is energetically more favorable than the dS0+dTQ *** finite doping,however,the dS0+dTq state is more *** both types of states,the variational triplet parameters cITq and pT0 are of secondary *** results point to a fully symmetric Z2 quantum spin liquid with spinon Fermi surface in proximity to the Neel order at zero doping,which may not be adiabatically connected to the d-wave singlet superconductivity at finite doping with intertwining d-wave triplet PDW fluctuations and spin moment *** results are obtained by variational quantum Monte Carlo simulations.

We study the possibility to realize a Majorana zero mode that is robust and may be easily manipulated for braiding in quantum computing in the ground state of the Kitaev model in this *** achieve this we first apply a uniform[111]magnetic field to the gapless Kitaev model and turn the Kitaev model to an effective p+ip topological superconductor of *** then study possible vortex binding in such system to a topologically trivial spot in the ground *** consider two cases in the system:one is a vacancy and the other is a fully polarized *** show that in both cases,the system binds a vortex with the defect and a robust Majorana zero mode in the ground state at a weak uniform[111]magnetic *** distribution and asymptotic behavior of these Majorana zero modes are *** Majorana zero modes in both cases decay exponentially in space,and are robust against local perturbations and other Majorana zero modes far away,which makes them promising candidates for braiding in topological quantum computing.

In terms of mineral transformation, and chemical composition of acid-soluble component as a function of reaction time, the effect of alkaline solution on zeolite-like fly ash was studied by employing fly ash and NaOH solution as starting materials. When fly ash and 1-10 mol/L NaOH solution were processed at 100 degreesC for 24 h with 1:10 W/S ratio in a relatively closed system, powder XRD patterns of resulting products indicated the formation of various zeolites. Zeolite P crystallized early at low alkaline concentration, which was replaced then by zeolites X and A. At high concentration, hydroxy sodalite was the only new phase. Quartz, in fly ash and NaOH solution system, gradually dissolved, and mullite, however, remained stable. It was concluded that, with Al/Si and Na/Si finally reaching equilibrium in molar ratio, composition of starting mixtures affects the crystallization of zeolite from fly ash.

Numerical Analysis of PRISM-PY Calculations for Hard-and Soft-Core Generic Polymer Models

Generic polymer models capturing the chain connectivity and excluded-volume interactions between polymer segments can be classified, according to whether or not the 3D integral of the latter diverges, into hard- and soft-core models. Taking homogeneous systems of compressible homopolymer melts (or equivalently homopolymer solutions in an implicit, good solvent) in the continuum as an example, we recently compared the correlation effects on the structural and thermodynamic properties of the hard- and soft-core models given by the polymer reference interaction site model (PRISM) theory with the Percus-Yevick (PY) closure (Polymers 2023, 15, 1180). Here we analyzed in detail the numerical errors and behavior of the interchain pair correlation functions (PCFs) given by the PRISM-PY calculations of these models using an efficient numerical approach that we proposed. Our numerical approach has the least number of independent variables to be iteratively solved, analytically treats the discontinuities caused by the non-bonded pair potential (such as that of the hard spheres) and takes only the inverse Fourier transform of the interchain indirect PCF between polymer segments (which is continuous and decays towards 0 with increasing wavenumber much faster than both the interchain direct and total PCFs), and is essential for us to accurately solve the PRISM-PY theory for chain length N as large as 106. To capture the correlation-hole effect, the real-space cut-off in the PRISM calculations should be proportional to the square root of N.

The characteristics and sensitivity of solidification cracks in peritectic steels were investigated using directional solidifi-cation *** cracks were observed in both hypoperitectic steels(12CrlMoV,15CrMo)and hyper-peritectic steel(20CrMo)during solidification at growth velocities of 15,50,and 80 pm/*** the dendritic boundaries,sulphide precipitates were found,promoting crack *** on the statistical analysis of interdendritic cracks in peritectic steels,the area ratio(RA)of interdendritic cracks in a directional solidification structure was proposed to evaluate the crack sensitivity of peritectic ***,the crack sensitivities of peritectic steels(12CrlMoV,15CrMo,and 20CrMo)were tested,evaluated,and compared with the surface crack rates of three types of steels produced from a steel *** results demonstrated that RA was in good agreement with that of the steel plant,and the crack sensitivity of 12CrlMoV steel was the strongest,followed by that of 15CrMo and 20CrMo ***,RA can be used to evaluate the crack sensitivity of peritectic steel.

The mechanism for electrical conduction is investigated by the dark temperature-dependent current–voltage characteristics of Si PIN photodiodes with different photosensitive *** characteristic tunneling energy E（00） can be obtained to be 1.40 me V,1.53 me V,1.74 me V,1.87 me V,and 2.01 me V,respectively,for the photodiodes with L = 0.25 mm,0.5 mm,1 mm,1.5 mm,and 2 mm by fitting the ideality factor n versus temperature curves according to the tunneling-enhanced recombination *** trap-assisted tunneling-enhanced recombination in the i-layer plays an important role in our device,which is consistent with the experimental result that area-dependent leakage current is dominant with the side length larger than 1 mm of the photosensitive *** results reveal that the quality of the bulk material plays an important role in the electrical conduction mechanism of the devices with the side length larger than 1 mm of the photosensitive area.
