The mountains of Southwest china comprise a significant large mountain range and biodiversity hotspot imperiled by global climate *** high species diversity in this mountain system has long been attributed to a complex set of factors,and recent large-scale macroevolutionary investigations have placed a broad timeline on plant diversification that stretches from 10 million years ago(Mya)to the *** our increasing understanding of the temporal mode of speciation,finer-scale populationlevel investigations are lacking to better refine these temporal trends and illuminate the abiotic and biotic influences of cryptic *** is largely due to the dearth of organismal sampling among closely related species and populations,spanning the incredible size and topological heterogeneity of this *** study dives into these evolutionary dynamics of speciation using genomic and ecomorphological data of Stellera chamaejasme *** identified four previously unrecognized cryptic species having indistinct morphological traits and large metapopulation of evolving lineages,suggesting a more recent diversification(~2.67-0.90 Mya),largely influenced by Pleistocene glaciation and biotic *** factors likely influenced allopatric speciation and advocated cyclical warming–cooling episodes along elevational gradients during the *** study refines the evolutionary timeline to be much younger than previously implicated and raises the concern that projected future warming may influence the alpine species diversity,necessitating increased conservation efforts.

characterization of Small-Scale Farmers and Assessment of Their Access to crop Production Information in Selected counties of Kenya

Small-scale farming accounts for 78% of total agricultural production in Kenya and contributes to 23.5% of the country’s GDP. Their crop production activities are mostly rainfed subsistence with any surplus being sold to bring in some income. Timely decisions on farm practices such as farm preparation and planting are critical determinants of the seasonal outcomes. In Kenya, most small-scale farmers have no reliable source of information that would help them make timely and accurate decisions. county governments have extension officers who are mandated with giving farmers advisory services to farmers but they are not able to reach most farmers due to facilitation constraints. The mode and format of sharing information is also critical since it’s important to ensure that it’s timely, well-understood and usable. This study sought to assess access to geospatial derived and other crop production information by farmers in four selected counties of Kenya. Specific objectives were to determine the profile of small-scale farmers in terms of age, education and farm size;to determine the type of information that is made available to them by county and Sub-county extension officers including the format and mode of provision;and to determine if the information provided was useful in terms of accuracy, timeliness and adequacy. The results indicated that over 80% of the farmers were over 35 years of age and over 56% were male. Majority had attained primary education (34%) or secondary education (29%) and most farmers in all the counties grew maize (71%). Notably, fellow farmers were a source of information (71%) with the frequency of sharing information being mostly seasonal (37%) and when information was available (43%). Over 66% of interviewed farmers indicating that they faced challenges while using provided information. The results from the study are insightful and helpful in determining effective ways of providing farmers with useful information to ensure maximum benefits.

The oridation resistance at 1100°c of a dirationally solidified Ni3Al base alloy Ic6is substantially improved by the addition of yttriurn or yttrium and silicon. The stress rupture property under 1100°c/80MPa is increased by adding proper amounts of yttrium, howevef it decreases bg adding 0.3wt% silicon and 0. 1wt% yttrium at the same time, which may be attributed to the formation of a needle like phase rich in nickel and molybdenum.

Efficacy of adjuvant mitomycin-c and triamcinoloneimpregnated nasal packing for endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy

●AIM:To compare the success rate and complications of adjuvant use of mitomycin c and triamcinoloneimpregnated biodegradable nasal packing(TAbP)in endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy(DcR).And to evaluate the efficacy of combining intraoperative mitomycin c and TAbP for endoscopic DcR.●METHODS:A total of 198 eyes of 148 patients who underwent endoscopic DcR for acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction were retrospectively *** patients were randomly divided into three groups:Group A included patients treated without intraoperative mitomycin c.b.t with TAbP,Group b included patients treated without triamcinolone but with intraoperative mitomycin c and normal saline-impregnated nasal packing,and Group c included patients treated with intraoperative mitomycin c and TAbP.●RESULTS:The results revealed no significant difference in the overall success rates between Groups A(86.8%)and b(89.2%;P=0.377).However,Group c(97.5%)showed a significantly higher overall success rate than Groups A and *** incidence of granulomas was significantly lower in group c(5%)than in Groups A(20.8%)and b(15.2%;P=0.009).Other complications,such as crust,synechiae,and revision surgery,did not differ significantly among the three groups.●cONcLUSION:The combination of intraoperative mitomycin c and TAbP effectively prevents granulomas and enhances surgical success ***,there is no statistically significant difference observed between the use of mitomycin c or TAbP alone.

目的了解深圳市极/超早产儿产房过渡期管理实施现状。方法2022年11月对深圳新生儿数据协作网的24家三级医院的极/超早产儿产房过渡期管理实施情况进行横断面调查,调查内容包括产前准备、产房复苏实施和新生儿重症监护室复苏后管理。根据胎龄将所纳入早产儿分为4组:<26周、26~28^(+6)周、29~30^(+6)周和31~31^(+6)周组,对结果进行描述性分析。结果共纳入140例极/超早产儿,其中<26周组10例,26~28^(+6)周组45例,29~30^(+6)周组49例,31~31^(+6)周组36例。140例极/超早产儿中,99例(70.7%)接受了产前咨询,提供产前咨询的人员以产科医生为主,占比为79.8%;产时参与复苏的人员主要为助产士(96.4%)和新生儿科住院医师(62.1%);52例(37.1%)实施了延迟脐带结扎,平均延迟时间为(45±17)s;137例(97.9%)生后采用了预热辐射台保暖;110例(78.6%)需要正压通气,其中67例(60.9%)采用T组合复苏器,42例(38.2%)应用了空氧混合仪;119例(85.0%)复苏中进行了血氧饱和度监测;完成过渡期各项措施至关闭温箱门时间的中位数为87min。结论在深圳新生儿数据协作网医院中,极/超早产儿的产房过渡期管理实施与我国相应专家共识的要求存在不同程度的差异,需要通过多中心协作的持续质量改进缩小差距,从而改善极/超早产儿产房过渡期管理的质量和结局。
