The integral membrane,Kunitz-type serine protease inhibitors HAI-1 and HAI-2,can suppress the proteolytic activity of the type 2 transmembrane serine protease matriptase with high specificity and *** levels of extracellular matriptase proteolytic activity have,however,been observed in some neoplastic B-cells with high levels of endogenous HAI-2,indicating that HAI-2 may be an ineffective matriptase inhibitor at the cellular *** different effectiveness of the HAIs in the control of extracellular matriptase proteolytic activity is examined *** inducing matriptase zymogen activation in the HAI Teton Daudi Burkitt lymphoma cells,which naturally express matriptase with very low levels of HAI-2 and no HAI-1,nascent active matriptase was rapidly inhibited or shed as an enzymatically active *** increasing HAI-1 expression,cellular matriptase-HAI-1 complex increased,and extracellular active matriptase decreased *** HAI-2 expression,however,resulted in cellular matriptase-HAI-2 complex levels reaching a plateau,while extracellular active matriptase remained *** contrast to this differential effect,both HAI-1 and HAI-2,even at very low levels,were shown to promote the expression and cell-surface translocation of endogenous *** difference in the suppression of extracellular active matriptase by the two closely related serine protease inhibitors could result from the primarily cell surface expression of HAI-1 compared to the mainly intracellular localization of *** HAIs,therefore,resemble one another with respect to promoting matriptase expression and surface translocation but differ in their effectiveness in the control of extracellular matriptase enzymatic activity.

Adsorption of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole from aqueous solution by organo-bentonite

The adsorption behavior of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole onto organo-bentonite was investigated. Natural bentonite from Gaozhou in Guangdong Province, China was collected. Organo-bentonite was prepared by intercalation of cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide into the natural bentonite. The physicochemical properties of the prepared organo-bentonite were characterized by X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The results showed that montmorillonite is the main component of the natural bentonite. The basal spacing of the natural bentonite is 1.47 nm, which increased to 1.98 nm on intercalation with cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide. Moreover, both the surface area and pore volume increased with intercalation. Clear CH2 stretching （3000-2800 cm-1） and scissoring （1480-1450 cm-1） modes of the intercalated surfactants were observed for organo- bentonite. Compared with the pseudo first-order kinetic model, the pseudo second-order kinetic model is more suitable to describe the adsorption kinetics of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole onto organo-bentonite. The adsorption capacity of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole onto organo-bentonite increased with increasing initial concentration of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, but decreased with increasing adsorbent dosage. The adsorption isotherm of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole onto organo-bentonite fits well with the Langmuir model. The maximum adsorption capacity of organo-bentonite for 2-mercaptobenzothiazole was 33.61 mg/g, indicating that organo-bentonite is a promising adsorbent for 2-mercaptobenzothiazole.

The Switching Fractional Order Chaotic System and Its Application to Image Encryption

Many studies on fractional order chaotic systems and secure communications have been carried out, however, switching fractional order chaotic system and its application to image encryption have not been explored yet. In this paper, a new switching fractional order chaotic system is proposed, containing fractional order Chen system and the other two fractional order chaotic systems. Chaotic attractors and dynamical analysis including Lyapunov exponent, bifurcation diagram, fractal dimension, dissipation, stability and symmetry are shown firstly. After that, some circuit simulations through Multisim are presented. By controlling switch k U+2082 and k U+2083, switching among the three fractional order chaotic subsystems can be realized. Finally, we apply the switching fractional order chaotic system to image encryption using exclusive or U+0028 XOR U+0029 encryption algorithm. The encryption scheme could increase randomness and improve speed of encryption. © 2017 Chinese Association of Automation.

Corrosion behavior and mechanism of irradiated 304 nuclear grade stainless steel were studied in simulated pressurized water reactor primary *** microstructure of the oxide formed on the steel irradiated to different doses over an exposure period range of 25–1500 h was analyzed and *** was found that the general and intergranular corrosion rates of the steel were increased with irradiation dose,in correspondence with an evolution of the general oxide and the oxide formed at the grain *** of the oxide evolution with the corrosion kinetics and mechanism has been discussed in detail.

Hot Deformation and Modeling of Flow Stress for a Ti-containing HSLA Steel

Single stage and double-stage interrupted hot compression tests for simulating hot rolling have been carried out for a Ti-containing HSLA steel (10Ti). Physical simulation of hot rolling was in progress utilizing a Thermecmastor-Z simulator in 850-1150 degree C and strain rate of 0.1-60 s** minus **1. A model for residual strain ratio lambda was designed, and a model of flow stress considering residual strain has been obtained. Revealing effect of Al content on oxidation of novel Co-Cr-Nb-W carbide-strengthened superalloy

The high-temperature oxidation behavior of novel Co-Cr-Nb-W carbide-strengthened wear-resistance alloys with different Al contents(1wt%,2wt%and 3wt%)at 950,1000 and 1050℃was thoroughly investigated by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and field emission electron probe *** porous property of NbC in-situ oxidation products(Nb_(2)O_(5),Co Nb_(2)O_(6)and Co_(4)Nb_(2)O_(9))induces a multi-layered oxide scale with micropores and ***-Cr-Nb-W alloy with 1 wt%Al undergoes catastrophic oxidation and spalling above 1000℃.The outward transportation of Cr and Co is effectively restrained by a continuous Al_(2)O_(3)scale formed around NbC in-situ oxidation region when Al content reaches 3 wt%.The β-Co Al in Co-Cr-Nb-W alloy with 3 wt%Al has an oxidation priority over eutectic carbides and the alloy matrix which are both enriched with Cr,thereby preventing the formation of Cr-depletion area and improving the self-healing ability of the oxide film.A slight change in Al content has a remarkable influence on the cooperative effect of Al and Cr and multiplies the antioxidant capacity of Co-Cr-Nb-W alloy above 1000℃.
