Correlation between slow transit constipation and spleen Qi deficiency, and gut microbiota: a pilot study

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of slow transit constipation(STC)and spleen Qi deficiency on gut microbiota,and the mechanism underlying the action that the positive drug Maren Runchang(MR)alleviates ***:STC was induced,using the cathartic method of Senna and the hunger-fullness disorder method,in ICR mice;one group of model mice was treated with MR(6.24 g/kg).The changes in the general condition,fecal parameters,D-xylose content in the serum,intestinal propulsion rate,and histopathology of the colon were assessed after STC induction in the control,model,and MR *** microbiota transplantation(FMT)was performed from STC mice into pseudo germ-free *** in the contents of substance P(SP),vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP),and gut microbiota in STC mice and pseudo germ-free mice were assessed after ***:Compared with the control group,the model mice showed the following results:the time of the first black stool was significantly longer(Plistipes,unclassified_o_Bacteroidales,Alloprevotella,Bilophila,and Anaerotruncus decreased,while the abundance of the conditional pathogenic bacteria Escherichia and Klebsiella ***,after treatment with MR,the time of the first black stool decreased(P<0.01),the number of black stools within 6 h increased,and the intestinal propulsion rate increased(P<0.05).Moreover,the content of D-xylose in the serum and the content of VIP in colon tissue significantly decreased(P<0.05),the conte

An Improved Stator Flux Observation Method of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

The stator flux and electromagnetic torque observation is the basis of direct torque controlled permanent magnet synchronous motor( PMSM) drive system. However,the traditional stator flux observer based on voltage model is affected by integral initial values and integral drift,that based on current model is affected by the parameters of PMSM,so a new stator flux observation method is proposed based on an improved secondorder generalized integrator( SOGI). Compared to the stator flux observation method based on the conventional SOGI,the proposed method can not only overcome the influence of integral initial values and integral drift,but also completely eliminate the DC offset's influence. Therefore,the observation accuracy of stator flux is further improved. The simulation and experimental results both show that the proposed method has a higher stator flux and electromagnetic torque observation precision.

Composite structures are sensitive to impact damage in practical *** resistance change method(ERCM)is an ideal technique for damage monitoring of composite *** to the anisotropy of fiber-resin matrix composites,impact location monitoring is difficult,and research on impact location of fiber composite laminates(FRPs)is limited.A preparation method of MXene/CNT/CuNps thin film sensor is *** to the modeling simulation and theoretical calculation,the resistance change characteristics of the thin film sensor are obtained,the relationship between the impact distance and the resistance change is established,and the sensor array is designed.A three-point localization algorithm and a weight function compensation localization algorithm are proposed,which can improve the imaging accuracy of the impact *** impact point location was observed and analyzed using ultrasonic C-scan *** results show that the weight function compensation positioning algorithm can accurately locate the impact of the composite structure,and the error in the X direction is 7.1%,the error in the Y direction is 0.03%,which verifies the effectiveness of the method.

Influence of CeO_2 and La_2O_3 on properties of palladium catalysts used for emission control of natural gas vehicles

Pd/YZ-Al2O3 （Y and Zr modified Al2O3, and hereafter, labelled as A1） catalysts with 4 wt% additive CeO2 and/or La2O3 were prepared and characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）, NO-temperature programmed desorption （NO-TPD）, Nz-adsorption/desorption （Branauer-Emmet-Teller BET method）, X-ray diffraction （XRD） and CO-chemisorption. Catalytic activities for CH4, CO and NO conversion were tested in a gas mixture simulated the emissions from natural gas vehicles （NGVs） operated under stoichiometric conditions. The results indicated that all catalysts exhibited excellent catalytic performances for CH4 and CO oxidation and the promoting effect of CeO2 or La2O3 was significant for NO conversion. XPS results showed that the electron density around Pd was increased by CeO2 and/or La2O3, the binding energy of Pd 3d decreased as the order： Pd/Al 〉 Pd/Ce/Al 〉 Pd/La/Al 〉 Pd/CeLa/Al. The electron-rich Pd showed Rh-like catalytic properties which exhibited good activity for the reduction of NO. NO-TPD results showed that the addition of CeO2 and/or La2O3 increased NO adsorption on surface, and promoted the conversion of NO.

Preparation of Si-doped and cross linked carbon nanofibers via electrospinning and their supercapacitive properties

In this work, Si-doped cross linked carbon nanofibers(Si/CNF) were prepared by electrospinning polyacrylonitrile(PAN) solutions containing polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane(POSS) as Si source, followed by thermal treatments. Scanning electron microscope(SEM) observations showed the smooth surfaces of pure PAN nanofibers, while PAN/POSS nanofibers with obviously rough or porous surfaces were obtained with relatively high POSS content. X-ray diffraction(XRD) identified the presence of POSS in the composite nanofibers. After thermal treatments, cross linked Si/CNFs with various morphologies were obtained. Energy-dispersive X-ray(EDX) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) analyses confirmed the successful incorporation of Si into CNFs. Raman spectra suggested the degree of carbon ordering of Si/CNFs reduced slightly when compared with pure CNF. The obtained nanofibers exhibited typical performances of electric double-layer capacitors(EDLC).The specific capacitance of Si/CNF showed a moderate increase with POSS content and reached a maximum of175 F/g at 1 A/g with PAN:POSS equal to 100:5. Meanwhile Si/CNFs exhibited excellent cycling stability after1000 cycles. The influence of POSS on the capacitive performance might be attributed to the combined effects of evolution of morphology, conductivity and surface properties of Si/CNFs.

Solvothermal synthesis of CdS nanorods and photovoltaic characteristics of CdS/PVK composite system

Large quantities of CdS nanorods are successfully synthesized through Cd(CH3COO)2·2H2O reacting with Na2S·9H2O and EDA in aqueous solution. XRD result shows that the sample is of hexagonal structure. And TEM result shows that the morphologies of the resulting CdS are mainly in three-armed rod-like structure with a diameter of 10―15 nm and a length of 100 nm. The nanocomposites of CdS/PVK with different molar ratios are prepared by spin coating method on tin-doped indium oxide (ITO) substrate. A notable decrease of photoluminescence (PL) efficiency and a significant enhance-ment of surface photovoltage signal have been observed in CdS/PVK composites when the molar frac-tion of CdS increases. We interpret these results as the energy level matching between CdS and PVK in nanocomposites. This energy level matching facilitates fast interfacial charge transfer then increases the separation efficiency of electron-hole pairs and the carrier generation efficiency. The detailed charge transfer process has also been demonstrated.

N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor subunit 1 protein expression in the hippocampus and temporal cortex of kainic acid-induced epilepsy rats

BACKGROUND： The N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor subunit 1 （NMDAR1） contributes to the incidence of epilepsy. However, the relationship between epilepsy-induced brain injury and NMDAR1 remains poorly understood. OBJECTIVE： To investigate changes in NMDAR1 protein expression in the hippocampus and temporal cortex of kainic acid-induced epilepsy rats. DESIGN, TIME AND SETFING： A randomized, controlled, animal experiment was performed at the Department of Physiology and Department of Pathology, Basic Medical College of Jilin University from March 2002 to March 2003. MATERIALS： Rabbit anti-NMDAR1 antibody was purchased from Wuhan Boster Biological Technology, China. METHODS： A total of 80 healthy, male, Wistar rats, aged 22 weeks, were randomly assigned to sham-surgery （n = 10） and model （n = 70） groups. Epilepsy models were established by injecting kainic acid （1μL） into the right amygdala, and rats were sacrificed at 2, 6, 24, 72 hours, and 7, 15, 30 days after surgery, with 10 animals at each time point. The rats in the sham-surgery group were injected with 1μL phosphate buffered saline into the right amygdala. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： NMDAR1 protein expression in the hippocampus and temporal cortex at 2, 6, 24, 72 hours and 7, 15, 30 days after epilepsy was detected using immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry analysis. RESULTS： In the sham-surgery group, a few NMDARl-positive cells were distributed in the hippocampus and temporal cortex. In the model group, NMDARl-positive cells were increased in the hippocampus and temporal cortex at 2 hours following kainic acid-induced epilepsy. They were significantly increased at 6 hours, and slightly decreased at 7 days （CA3 region and temporal cortex）, but remained greater than the sham-surgery group. This continued until day 30 （P 〈 0.01 ）. In addition, there were more NMDAR1 positive cells in the hippocampal CA3 and dentate gyrus than the temporal cortex （P 〈 0.01）. Formate is an important liquid chemical,which can be produced by electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction reaction(CO_(2) RR).Most of the metal catalysts for CO_(2) RR to formate are toxic or noble metals,such as Cd,Hg,Pb and Pd,leading to the environmental pollution or increased production ***,we develop an environmentally friendly and low-cost NiZn alloy catalyst for CO_(2) RR to *** X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) confirm the alloy structure of the prepared NiZn catalyst. As for a catalyst for CO_(2) RR,the NiZn alloy exhibits the FE_(HCOO)^(-)(Faraday efficiency of HCOO^(-)) of 36±0.7% at-0.9 V *** in 0.1 M KHCO_(3), and remarkable stability for 40,000 s at-0.8,-0.9,-1.0 and-1.1 V ***,*** calculation results indicate that the NiZn alloy exhibits the middle valence electron structure between the Zn and Ni metal,resulting in the favorable pathway for HCOOH formation but unfavorable for the hydrogen evolution reaction and CO *** Ultraviolet Photoelectron Spectroscopy results verify the modulated valence electron structure for NiZn alloy as compared to Ni and Zn,consistent with the theoretical calculation *** work provides new insights into design of alloy catalysts for CO_(2) RR to formate.

China is the global leader in mariculture production. Increasing sequestered marine carbon(also known as blue carbon) via mariculture activities is a promising approach for mitigating climate change and promoting the development of a low-carbon economy. Mariculture blue carbon is also considered an important component of China's "sea granary". In addition to shellfish and macroalgae yields, which represent carbon removed from mariculture environment, blue carbon also includes other important components, which have been largely neglected in the past, such as the carbon transformed by microbes,dissolved organic carbon(mainly referred to as recalcitrant dissolved organic carbon), and sedimentary particulate carbon. Hence,from different aspects, a comprehensive study on the formation processes and mechanisms of carbon sequestration is of great significance for comprehensively unveiling the carbon sequestration capability in coastal mariculture environment, which will contribute to the sustainable development of the fishery economy and construction of an ecological civilization. Moreover, it may add significant economic benefits to the future carbon-trading market.
