The distributed flexible job shop scheduling problem(DFJSP)has attracted great attention with the growth of the global manufacturing industry.General DFJSP research only considers machine constraints and ignores worker constraints.As one critical factor of production,effective utilization of worker resources can increase productivity.Meanwhile,energy consumption is a growing concern due to the increasingly serious environmental issues.Therefore,the distributed flexible job shop scheduling problem with dual resource constraints(DFJSP-DRC)for minimizing makespan and total energy consumption is studied in this paper.To solve the problem,we present a multi-objective mathematical model for DFJSP-DRC and propose a Q-learning-based multi-objective grey wolf optimizer(Q-MOGWO).In Q-MOGWO,high-quality initial solutions are generated by a hybrid initialization strategy,and an improved active decoding strategy is designed to obtain the scheduling schemes.To further enhance the local search capability and expand the solution space,two wolf predation strategies and three critical factory neighborhood structures based on Q-learning are proposed.These strategies and structures enable Q-MOGWO to explore the solution space more efficiently and thus find better Pareto solutions.The effectiveness of Q-MOGWO in addressing DFJSP-DRC is verified through comparison with four algorithms using 45 instances.The results reveal that Q-MOGWO outperforms comparison algorithms in terms of solution quality.

Neuroimmunology is an interdisciplinary branch of biomedical science that emerges from the intersection of studies on the nervous system and the immune system.The complex interplay between the two systems has long been recognized.Research efforts directed at the underlying functional interface and associated pathophysiology,however,have garnered attention only in recent decades.In this narrative review,we highlight significant advances in research on neuroimmune interplay and modulation.A particular focus is on early-and middle-career neuroimmunologists in China and their achievements in frontier areas of"neuroimmune interface","neuro-endocrine-immune network and modulation","neuroimmune interactions in diseases","meningeal lymphatic and glymphatic systems in health and disease",and"tools and methodologies in neuroimmunology research".Key scientific questions and future directions for potential breakthroughs in neuroimmunology research are proposed.

To the Editor:Tricuspid regurgitation(TR)associated with valve disease is a general medical issue with growing prevalence and socioeconomic burden.TR,especially moderate or severe TR,has been reported to be associated with an increased risk of heart failure and mortality.^([1])Studies have shown that blood calcium levels and blood phosphorus levels have a great influence on the human body,especially on the cardiovascular system.Elevated serum calcium levels were reported to be a risk factor for cardiovascular disease.^([2])A meta-analysis reported that moderate dietary calcium intake protects against cardiovascular and all-cause mortality and that calcium supplementation reduces mortality in women.^([3])

As a result of evolution,our body has evolved into a sophisticated system in which various tissues and organs cooperate in a highly orchestrated manner.Few tissues or organs operate in isolation.The brain serves as the command center of our body and is relatively isolated from the peripheral system due to the presence of the blood-brain barrier(BBB).This barrier prevents direct and extensive interaction between blood cells,plasma molecules,and brain cells,contributing to the longstanding perception of the brain as an“immune-privileged”area.Consequently,neuroscientists and immunologists historically conducted separate research with minimal overlap between these two disciplines.However,this perspective has undergone reconsideration over the past few decades.

Lacustrine record of 800 yr hydrological variations on the central Tibetan Plateau

Zige Tangco is a meromictic saline lake located on the central Tibetan Plateau.Two parallel cores(ZGTC A-1 and ZGTC A-2)were collected from the lake at a water depth of 25 m during summer 2006.The chronology of core A-1 was reconstructed based on the Constant Initial Concentration(CIC)model of 210Pb and three accelerator mass spectrometry(AMS)ages from the chitin fragments.The hard water effect calibration of the sediment ^(14)C age showed that the reservoir effect ranged from 1655 yr at 1950 AD to 1540 yr at 1610 AD.The hydrological variation in Zige Tangco during the past 800 yr was reconstructed using multi-proxies,including organic and carbonate content,stable isotopes of fine-grained carbonate minerals(<38.5μm)and grain-size distribution of the lake sediments.Our results show that there were strong fluctuations in the lake level between 1200 and 1820 AD,and at least three dry periods were recorded between 1235 and 1315 AD,1410 and 1580 AD,and 1660 and 1720 AD characterized by high carbonate content,abrupt positive shifts of stable isotopes,and high sand content.The low-lake-level periods during the Little Ice Age(LIA)in Zige Tangco correspond to the lower δ^(18)O values in the Guliya ice core and the lower precipitation reconstructed from tree rings in Delingha.This demonstrated that the summer monsoon on the central Tibetan Plateau weakened during the dry and cold periods,whereas the winter monsoon strengthened.Relatively wetter periods or higher lake levels in Zige Tangco occurred at 1580-1650 AD and 1820-1900 AD.Negative shifts in stable isotopes were related to increased lake levels between 1800 and 1820 AD.Our results also showed that the summer monsoon precipitation on the central Tibetan Plateau was mainly controlled by solar activity during the past 800 yr.

Spatial and Temporal Variations in the Atmospheric Age Distribution of Primary and Secondary Inorganic Aerosols in China

The aging timescale of particles is a key parameter in determining their impacts on air quality,human health,and climate.In this study,a one-year simulation of the age distributions of the primary and secondary inorganic fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))components was conducted over China using an age-resolved Community Multiscale Air Quality(CMAQ)model.The results indicate that primary PM_(2.5)(PPM)and ammonium mainly originate from fresh local emissions,with approximately 60%-80%concentrated in 0-24 h age bins in most of China throughout the year.The average age is about15-25 h in most regions in summer,but increases to 40-50 h in southern region of China and the Sichuan Basin(SCB)in winter.Sulfate is more aged than PPM,indicating an enhanced contribution from regional transport.Aged sulfate with atmospheric age>48 h account for 30%-50%of total sulfate in most regions and seasons,and the concentrations in the>96 h age bin can reach up to 15μg·m-3 in SCB during winter.Dramatic seasonal variations occur in the Yangtze River Delta,Pearl River Delta,and SCB,with highest average age of 60-70 h in winter and lowest of 40-45 h in summer.The average age of nitrate is 20-30 h in summer and increases to 40-50 h in winter.The enhanced deposition rate of nitric acid vapor combined with the faster chemical reaction rate of nitrogen oxides leads to a lower atmospheric age in summer.Additionally,on pollution days,the contributions of old age bins(>24 h)increase notably for both PPM and secondary inorganic aerosols in most cities and seasons,suggesting that regional transport plays a vital role during haze events.The age information of PM_(2.5),provided by the age-resolved CMAQ model,can help policymakers design effective emergent emission control measures to eliminate severe haze episodes.

Near-Far Field Beamforming for Holographic Multiple-Input Multiple-Output

Recently,holographic multiple-input multiple-output(HMIMO)has motivated its potential use to support high-capacity data transmission with spatially quasi-continuous apertures.As a practical instance of HMIMO,reconfigurable refractive surfaces(RRSs)equipped with numerous metamaterial elements are utilized as antennas by refracting incident signals from signal sources.In this paper,we investigate a multi-user communication system with an RRS deployed as the base station(BS)’s transmit antenna.To mitigate the high overhead of accurate channel state information(CSI)acquisition,the codebook design and beam training are employed to perform beamforming.Given the large scale of RRS,users are likely to be randomly distributed in both the near and far fields around the BS,which is unknown in advance.By considering radiation characteristics in both fields,a near-far field codebook is designed to be applicable to all users,regardless of their locations.To reduce overhead,a multi-user beam training is proposed to serve all users simultaneously by enhancing each codeword capable of covering multiple areas.Considering a general case that includes users in both fields,simulation results indicate that,without prior knowledge of user distribution,the proposed scheme outperforms state-of-the-art ones in terms of sum rate and overhead.

Tropospheric ozone(O_(3))concentration is increasing in China along with dramatic changes in precursor emissions and meteorological conditions,adversely affecting human health and ecosystems.O_(3) is formed from the complex nonlinear photochemical reactions from nitrogen oxides(NOx=NO+NO_(2))and volatile organic compounds(VOCs).Although the mechanism of O_(3) formation is rather clear,describing and analyzing its changes and formation potential at fine spatial and temporal resolution is still a challenge today.In this study,we briefly summarized and evaluated different approaches that indicate O_(3) formation regimes.We identify that atmospheric oxidation capacity(AOC)is a better indicator of photochemical reactions leading to the formation of O_(3) and other secondary pollutants.Results show that AOC has a prominent positive relationship to O_(3) in the major city clusters in China,with a goodness of fit(R^(2))up to 0.6.This outcome provides a novel perspective in characterizing O_(3) formation and has significant implications for formulating control strategies of secondary pollutants.

New Version of the CMA-GFS Dynamical Core Based on the Predictor–Corrector Time Integration Scheme

The operational numerical weather prediction system established by the China Meteorological Administration(CMA),based on the Global/Regional Assimilation and Prediction System(GRAPES)model,adopts the classical semi-implicit semi-Lagrangian(SISL)time integration algorithm.This paper describes a major upgrade to the dynamical core of the CMA global forecast system(CMA-GFS),which was successfully incorporated into operation in 2020.In the upgrade,the classical SISL is further developed into a predictor–corrector scheme,a three-dimensional(3D)reference profile instead of the original isothermal reference profile is applied when implementing the semi-implicit algorithm,and a hybrid terrain-following vertical coordinate system is also applied.The new version of the dynamical core greatly improves the model performance,the time integration reaches second-order accuracy,the time step can be extended by 50%,and the efficiency is greatly improved(by approximately 30%).Atmospheric circulation simulation is systematically improved,and deviations in temperature,wind,and humidity are reduced.The new version of the dynamical core provides a solid foundation for further development of the entire operational system of the CMA.
