Plants usually keep resistance(R)proteins in a static state under normal conditions to avoid autoimmunity and save energy for growth,but R proteins can be rapidly activated upon perceiving pathogen invasion.Pib,the first cloned blast disease R gene in rice,encoding a nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat(NLR)protein,mediates resistance to the blast fungal(Magnaporthe oryzae)isolates carrying the avirulence gene AvrPib.However,the molecular mechanisms about how Pib recognizes AvrPib and how it is inactivated and activated remain largely unclear.In this study,through map-based cloning and CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing,we proved that Pib contributes to the blast disease resistance of rice cultivar Yunyin(YY).Furthermore,an SH3 domain-containing protein,SH3P2,was found to associate with Pib mainly at clathrin-coated vesicles in rice cells,via direct binding with the coiled-coil(CC)domain of Pib.Interestingly,overexpression of SH3P2 in YY compromised Pib-mediated resistance to M.oryzae isolates carrying AvrPib and Pib-AvrPib recognition-induced cell death.SH3P2 competitively inhibits the self-association of the Pib CC domain in vitro,suggesting that binding of SH3P2 with Pib undermines its homodimerization.Moreover,SH3P2 can also interact with AvrPib and displays higher affinity to AvrPib than to Pib,which leads to dissociation of SH3P2 from Pib in the presence of AvrPib.Taken together,our results suggest that SH3P2 functions as a“protector”to keep Pib in a static state by direct interaction during normal growth but could be triggered off by the invasion of AvrPib-carrying M.oryzae isolates.Our study reveals a new mechanism about how an NLR protein is inactivated under normal conditions but is activated upon pathogen infection.

油气成藏跟构造息息相关,研究构造及油气保存条件在油气勘探中具有重要作用。研究了鄂西渝东地区断裂发育特征及构造样式的差异分布,划分了构造单元,描述了断裂、构造类型及演化,分析了构造对保存条件的影响。研究表明:鄂西渝东中扬子地块南部构造带西部中生代以来经历了多期盆-山耦合构造作用,构造变形强度大,发育基底卷入型和盖层滑脱型断层。提出了该复杂构造区油气保存条件评价的方法。评价认为齐岳山断层以西保存条件好于东侧,以万县复向斜的保存条件最好,其次为石柱复向斜。湘鄂西褶皱带以利川构造带保存条件最好,其次为恩施构造带,南北镇-桑植石门构造带最差。该研究成果在红星地区、宜恩地区页岩气、致密气、岩溶体油气勘探中的应用取得了较好的效果。

The emergence of low-dimensional nanomaterials has brought revolutionized development of magnetism,as the size effect can significantly influence the spin arrangement.Since the first demonstration of truly two-dimensional magnetic materials(2DMMs)in 2017,a wide variety of magnetic phases and associated properties have been exhibited in these 2DMMs,which offer a new opportunity to manipulate the spin-based devices efficiently in the future.Herein,we focus on the recent progress of 2DMMs and heterostructures in the aspects of their structural characteristics,physical properties,and spintronic applications.Firstly,the microscopy characterization of the spatial arrangement of spins in 2D lattices is reviewed.Afterwards,the optical probes in the light-matter-spin interactions at the 2D scale are discussed.Then,particularly,we systematically summarize the recent work on the electronic and spintronic devices of 2DMMs.In the section of electronic properties,we raise several exciting phenomena in 2DMMs,i.e.,long-distance magnon transport,field-effect transistors,varying magnetoresistance behavior,and(quantum)anomalous Hall effect.In the section of spintronic applications,we highlight spintronic devices based on 2DMMs,e.g.,spin valves,spin-orbit torque,spin field-effect transistors,spin tunneling field-effect transistors,and spin-filter magnetic tunnel junctions.At last,we also provide our perspectives on the current challenges and future expectations in this field,which may be a helpful guide for theorists and experimentalists who are exploring the optical,electronic,and spintronic properties of 2DMMs.

Multi-objective optimization design of spherical transducer

In order to solve the mixed nonlinear multi-objective optimization problem of discrete/continuous variables of the spherical transducer under the multi-constraint conditions, the electrical-mechanical-acoustic model of the spherical transducer is built based on the equivalent circuit theory. The multi-objective optimization mathematical model of the spherical transducer is constructed. The transmitting sound level, input electric power and mass are taken as the optimization objective functions, and the material property parameters, structural size parameters, frequency range and input voltage are taken as the design variables. Besides, the physical properties such as piezoelectric ceramic depolarization,structural strength limit, power capacity and the value of design variables are taken as constraints. The multi-objective optimization design of the spherical transducer is carried out by using the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II(NSGA-II), and the Pareto front solution set is obtained. The effectiveness of the optimization results is verified by experiments. The results show that the transducer prototype designed and manufactured by the multi-objective optimization method reduces the input power by 32.8% and the mass by 27.4% under the premise of meeting the requirements of the transmitting sound level. The results are of great value to the optimization design of transmitting transducer under severe conditions.

Genetic analysis and fine mapping of the pubescence gene GL6 in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

The pubescence of the leaf blade surface is an important agronomic characteristic for rice morphology and significantly influences rice growth as well as physiological characteristics. This characteristic was analyzed in F1 and F2 plants derived by crossing cultivar 75-1-127 with the indica cultivar Minghui 63, as well as the glabrous cultivar Lemont and indica cultivar 9311. Results indicated that the pubescence of the leaf blade surface was a dominant trait and controlled by a single gene. The GL6 gene was primarily mapped on rice chromosome 6 with recessive F2 population derived from 75-1-127/Minghui 63 by combining bulked segregation analysis and recessive class analysis using the Mapmaker3.0/MapDraw software. The genetic distances between the simple sequence repeat markers RM20491 and RM20547 were 7.2 and 2.2 cM, respectively. The GL6 gene was fine mapped in the interval between InDel-106 and InDel-115 at genetic distances of 0.3 and 0.1 cM, respectively. The large, recessive F2 population was derived from 75-1-127/Minghui 63. A high-resolution genetic and physical map of GL6 was constructed. Derived from the map-based sequences published by the International Rice Genome Sequencing Project, the GL6 gene was localized at an interval of 79 (japonica) and 116.82 kb (9311) bracketed by InDel-106 and InDel-115 within the BAC accession numbers AP008403 and AP005760. Seven annotated genes (japonica) and eight annotated genes (9311) were present. The basis was further set for GL6 cloning and function analysis.

Determination of Heterotic Groups and Heterosis Analysis of Yield Performance in indica Rice

To compare the heterosis levels among various groups of parental lines used extensively in China, identify foundational heterotic groups in parental pools and understand the relationship between genetic distance and heterosis performance, 16 parental lines with extensive genetic variation were selected from various sub-groups, and 39 hybrid combinations were generated and evaluated in Fujian and Hainan Provinces of China. The main results were as follows：（1） The 16 parental lines can be grouped into 7 sub-groups consisting of 1 maintainer sub-group and 6 restorer sub-groups; （2） Mean grain yield of the restorer lines was higher than that of the maintainer lines, and mean yield of parental lines was higher than that of the hybrid combinations; （3） The two best heterotic patterns were II-32A × G5 and II-32A × G6, moreover, the order of restorer sub-groups according to grain yield, from the highest to lowest, was G7, G6, G5, G4, G3 and G2; High specific combining ability values were observed for combinations of II-32A × G5, II-32A × G6 and Tianfeng A × G7; （4） Hybrid combinations derived from II-32A crossed with 13 restorer lines had higher yield trait values （mid-parent heterosis, better-parent heterosis, standard heterosis over check and specific combining ability） than any other combinations; （5） Genetic distance was positively correlated with panicle number, grain length and length-to-width ratio （P 〈 0.05） and negatively correlated with grain width, grain yield, seed-setting rate, as well as mid-parent heterosis, standard heterosis over check, and specific combining ability for grain yield （P 〈 0.01）. These heterotic groups and patterns and their argonomic traits will provide useful information for future hybrid rice breeding programs.

在太赫兹频段,为解决FP干涉滤光片反射率低、适用频率范围小及角度稳定性差的问题,设计了一种新的太赫兹频率选择表面结构。首先进行了仿真分析,确定了结构的硅片厚度和金属网栅层数,并对参数进行了优化。然后对该结构的传输特性和角度稳定性进行了仿真,该结构在入射倾斜角0°~45°范围内具有较好的稳定性,最后加工出滤光片实物,对仿真结果的准确性进行验证。在太赫兹波垂直入射的情况下,实物测量结果与仿真结果基本吻合,在1.34~2.34 THz频率范围内,反射率和透射率分别为91.0%~98.4%和0.7%~8.0%,满足FP干涉滤光片高反射率、低透射率要求。

挖掘水稻产量潜力是水稻研究最重要的方向之一。再生稻是一种利用水稻头季收割后稻桩上存活的腋芽,在适宜的光照、温度、养分等条件下萌发成蘖,进而抽穗成熟的水稻,在节约大量人力物力的同时能够保证水稻产量与双季稻基本持平,对于稳定国家粮食安全具有重要意义。本文综述了已报道的水稻再生力相关QTLs位点,发现水稻再生力相关的QTLs位点贡献率偏低,相关研究不深入,与生产联系不紧密;总结了水稻再生力评价标准的现状,发现前期头季稻的SPAD衰减指数、中期再生稻的再生芽出鞘率以及收获后期的日产量和热量利用率是评价水稻品种再生力的重要指标,可用于筛选强再生力的水稻品种;概括了留桩高度对再生稻产量和品质的影响。提出再生稻的培育应聚焦优质、高产、抗病等水稻重要性状及强再生力相关性状,利用多组学分析挖掘新基因及其优异自然变异,开发功能分子标记,利用全基因组关联分析与分子模块育种技术相结合开展强再生力水稻种质资源精准鉴定、新基因发掘、种质创新、新品种选育研究。
