Objective Retinoblastoma(RB)is a prevalent type of eye cancer in *** homeobox 1(Prox1)is a homeobox transcriptional repressor and downstream target of the proneural gene that is relevant in lymphatic,hepatocyte,pancreatic,heart,lens,retinal,and cancer *** goal of this study was to investigate the role of Prox1 in RB cell proliferation and drug resistance,as well as to explore the underlying Notch1 *** Human RB cell lines(SO-RB50 and Y79)and a primary human retinal microvascular endothelial cell line(ACBRI-181)were used in this *** expression of Prox1 and Notch1 mRna and protein in RB cells was detected using quantitative real time-polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)and Western *** proliferation was assessed after Prox1 overexpression using the Cell Counting Kit-8 and the MTS ***-resistant cell lines(SO-RB50/vincristine)were generated and treated with Prox1 to investigate the role of Prox1 in drug *** employed pcDna-Notch1 to overexpress Notch1 to confirm the role of Notch1 in the protective function of ***,a xenograft model was constructed to assess the effect of Prox1 on RB in *** Prox1 was significantly downregulated in RB *** of Prox1 effectively decreased RB cell growth while increasing the sensitivity of drug-resistant cells to ***1 was involved in Prox1’s regulatory ***1 was identified as a target gene of Prox1,which was found to be upregulated in RB cells and repressed by increased Prox1 *** pcDna-Notch1 was transfected,the effect of Prox1 overexpression on RB was ***,by downregulating Notch1,Prox1 overexpression slowed tumor development and increased vincristine sensitivity in *** These data show that Prox1 decreased RB cell proliferation and drug resistance by targeting Notch1,implying that Prox1 could be a potential therapeutic target for RB.

Objective Despite the recent advances in diagnosis and treatment,sepsis continues to lead to high morbidity and *** diagnosis and prompt treatment are essential to save ***,most biomarkers can only help to diagnose sepsis,but cannot predict the development of septic shock in high-risk *** present study determined whether the combined measurement of procalcitonin(PCT),thromboelastography(TEG)and platelet(PLT)count can predict the development of septic *** A retrospective study was conducted on 175 septic patients who were admitted to the intensive care unit between January 2017 and February *** patients were divided into two groups:73 patients who developed septic shock were assigned to the septic shock group,while the remaining 102 patients were assigned to the sepsis ***,the demographic,clinical and laboratory data were recorded,and the predictive values of PCT,TEG and PLT count for the development of septic shock were *** Compared to the sepsis group,the septic shock group had statistically lower PLT count and TEG measurements in the R value,K value,αangle,maximum amplitude,and coagulation index,but had longer prothrombin time(DT),longer activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),and higher PCT ***,the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA)score was higher in the septic shock *** multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that PCT,TEG and PLT count were associated with the development of septic *** area under the curve analysis revealed that the combined measurement of PCT,TEG and PLT count can be used to predict the development of septic shock with higher accuracy,when compared to individual *** The combined measurement of PCT,TEG and PLT count is a novel approach to predict the development of septic shock in high-risk patients.

Global aging has brought attention to addressing the elderly mobility dilemma,and a commitment to address inclusive transport in *** inclusion for older adults aims at establishing an age-friendly transport *** a direct policy goal and promoting active aging as an indirect social goal,to help older populations gain access to transport and social *** on the analysis of scientific knowledge mapping over the past 30 years,this study visualizes the hotspots and trends in elderly mobility *** a qualitative analysis of 138 papers,this paper reviews the theoretical foundations for transport inclusion and three themes of elderly mobility research,proposes a framework for public transport(PT)inclusion research as well as future research *** study suggests that transport inclusion can help enhance elderly health,social participation,and subjective *** can improve their travel opportunities for active aging in four ways:opportunity accessibility,physical accessibility,age-friendly informationalization,and cost *** research should pay attention to examining the mechanism of perceived transport inclusion on active aging,expanding the multilevel research space of the capability approach(CA),and exploring the subjectiveobjective integrated research model for PT *** research contributes to the overall knowledge of the theoretical and empirical researches on PT inclusion for the elderly and promotes the integrated application of interdisciplinary knowledge in the field.

The modular system can change its physical structure by self-assembly and self-disassembly between modules to dynamically adapt to task and environmental requirements. Recognizing the adaptive capability of modular systems, we introduce a modular reconfigurable flight array(MRFA) to pursue a multifunction aircraft fitting for diverse tasks and requirements,and investigate the attitude control and the control allocation problem by using the modular reconfigurable flight array as a platform. First, considering the variable and irregular topological configuration of the modular array, a center-of-mass-independent flight array dynamics model is proposed to allow control allocation under over-actuated situations. Secondly, in order to meet the stable, fast and accurate attitude tracking performance of the MRFA, a fixed-time convergent sliding mode controller with state-dependent variable exponent coefficients is proposed to ensure fast convergence rate both away from and near the system equilibrium point without encountering the singularity. It is shown that the controller also has fixed-time convergent characteristics even in the presence of external disturbances. Finally,simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed modeling and control strategies.

Real-world study(RWS)gained prominence starting with a significant investigation on ramipril’s impact on hypertension in 1993(1).A key advancement for the Food and Drug Administration(FDA)occurred with the enactment of the 21st Century Cures Act in 2016,emphasizing RWS(2).The FDA’s Real-world Evidence Program establishes real-world data(RWD)as“data relating to patient health status and/or the delivery of health care routinely collected from a variety of sources”,while real-world evidence(RWE)is“clinical evidence about the usage and potential benefits or risks of a medical product derived from analysis of RWD”(3).The proliferation of big data,electronic medical records(EMR),electronic health records(EHR),and medical claims data offers vast information resources facilitating *** access to RWD allows for worldwide monitoring of the impacts of various public health initiatives like vaccination *** randomized clinical trials(RCTs)traditionally gauge vaccine efficacy and shortterm safety,RWS can assess vaccine performance and safety across larger,more diverse populations and are adept at identifying rare events not easily discernible in RCTs due to their infrequency.

Using first-principles calculations,we predict a new type of two-dimensional(2D)beryllium(Be)-decorated T-graphene named BeC_(2),where Be atoms are inserted into C–C bonds linking the carbon tetrarings of *** band structure shows that BeC_(2)is metallic,thus,the possible phonon-mediated superconductivity is explored based on the Eliashberg *** calculated electron-phonon coupling(EPC)constantλis up to 4.07,and the corresponding superconducting critical temperature(Tc)is 72.1 K,approaching the liquid nitrogen *** reason for the high Tc is the strong *** it is proved to be an anisotropic single-gap superconductor by analyzing the superconducting gap?kof BeC_(2).The electronic susceptibility calculation shows strong nesting effect in BeC_(2).Since rare 2D superconductors show such a strong EPC constantλwhich originates from the coupling between electrons in C-pzorbital and in-plane vibrations of Be and C atoms,the predicted BeC_(2)provides a new platform for investigating strong EPC 2D superconductor.

Power electronic traction transformers(PETTs)will be increasingly applied to locomotives in the future for their small volume and light ***,similar to conventional trains,PETTs behave as constant power loads and may cause low-frequency oscillation(LFO)to the train-network *** solve this issue,a mathematical model of the PETT is firstly proposed and verified based on the extended describing function(EDF)method in this *** the proposed model,the LLC converter is simplified to an equivalent circuit consisting of a capacitor and a resistor in *** is further demonstrated that the model can apply to various LLC converters with different topologies and ***,when the parameter differences between cells are not obvious,the PETT can be simplified to a single-phase rectifier(i.e.,conventional train)by equivalent *** on the model of PETT,the system low-frequency stability and influential factors are analyzed by using the generalized Nyquist ***,the correctness and accuracy of theoretical analyses are validated by off-line and hardware-in-the-loop simulation results.
