Prognostic factors of recurrent intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma after hepatectomy:A retrospective study

BACKGROUND Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(ICC)is a highly malignant *** is an effective treatment for early ICC,but postoperative recurrence greatly affects patient *** on recurrent ICC after hepatectomy are *** To investigate the clinical characteristics of patients with recurrent ICC after hepatectomy,analyse prognostic factors and explore diagnosis and treatment *** A retrospective analysis was performed on all ICC patients undergoing hepatectomy from January 2013 to August *** with postoperative recurrence were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion *** overall survival was plotted by the Kaplan-Meier method,and differences were assessed by univariate survival analysis using the log-rank *** analysis of cumulative survival was performed using the Cox proportional risk *** During the 8-year study period,103 patients underwent ICC-related hepatectomy,and 54 exhibited postoperative *** median disease-free survival(DFS)was 6 mo,the median overall survival(OS)was 9 mo,and the cumulative OS rates at 1,2 and 3 years after the operation were 40.7%,14.8%and 7.4%,*** median OS after recurrence was 4 mo,and the cumulative OS rates at 1,2 and 3 years after recurrence were 16.1%,6.7%and 3.4%,*** analysis showed that alcohol consumption[hazard ratio(HR)=4.64,95%confidence interval(CI):1.53-14.04,P=0.007]and DFS<6 mo(HR=3.47,95%CI:1.59-7.60,P=0.002)were independent risk factors for the cumulative survival of patients with recurrence,while treatment after recurrence(HR=0.21,95%CI:0.08-0.55,P=0.001)was an independent protective *** median OS time of patients receiving multimodality therapy after recurrence of ICC was 7 mo,which was significantly higher than that of patients receiving only local therapy(3 mo),patients receiving systematic therapy(4 mo)and patients receiving the best supportive therapy(1 mo).Patients

Programmable hyper-coded holography has the advantage of being programmable as well as being flexibly *** coded metamaterials with excellent electromagnetic modulation capability and the ability to control the phase to modulate the spatial radiation field through external excitation in the form of switching can be used to realize low-cost digital *** design a 1-bit encoded programmable metasurface,which is electrically connected to control the PIN diode in the switching state and to switch the condition of each metasurface cell between“0”and“1.”Using the designed programmable metasurface,we can randomly encode the cell structure to realize single-focus focusing,multi-focusing,and simple holographic letter *** on the nonlinear holographic model,we employ the Gerchberg-Saxton improvement algorithm to modulate the energy distribution at the focus by adjusting the phase ***,we introduce the Fourier convolution principle to regulate the holographic imaging focus flexibly.

Atomic and close-to-atom scale manufacturing is a promising avenue toward single-photon emitters,single-electron transistors,single-atom memory,and quantum-bit devices for future communication,computation,and sensing *** manufacturing is outstanding to this end for ease of beam manipulation,batch production,and no requirement for *** is,however,suffering from optical diffraction ***,we report a spatial resolution improved to the quantum limit by exploiting a threshold tracing and lock-in method,whereby the two-order gap between atomic point defect complexes and optical diffraction limit is surpassed,and a feature size ofboron nitride is transformed from stochastic to deterministic,and the emission from individual sites becomes polychromatic to *** a result,single colour centres in the regular array are deterministically created with a unity yield and high positional accuracy,serving as a step forward for integrated quantum technological applications.

order to help investors understand the credit status of target corporations and reduce investment risks,the corporate credit rating model has become an important evaluation tool in the financial *** models are based on statistical learning,machine learning and deep learning especially graph neural networks(GNNs).However,we found that only few models take the hierarchy,heterogeneity or unlabeled data into account in the actual corporate credit rating ***,we propose a novel framework named hierarchical heterogeneous graph neural networks(HHGNN),which can fully model the hierarchy of corporate features and the heterogeneity of relationships between *** addition,we design an adversarial learning block to make full use of the rich unlabeled samples in the financial *** experiments conducted on the public-listed corporate rating dataset prove that HHGNN achieves SOTA compared to the baseline methods.

An innovative classification system for ranking the biological effects of marine aromatic hydrocarbons based on fish embryotoxicity

Petroleum hydrocarbon pollution is a global concern,particularly in coastal *** aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) are regarded as the most toxic components of petroleum *** this study,the biomonitoring and ranking effects of petroleum hydrocarbons and PAHs on the marine fish model Oryzias melastigma embryos were determined in the Jiulong River Estuary(JRE) and its adjacent waters in *** results showed that the levels of petroleum hydrocarbons from almost all sites met the primary standard for marine seawater quality,and the concentrations of the 16 priority PAHs in the surface seawater were lower compared with those in other coastal areas worldwide.A new fish expert system based on the embryotoxicity of ***(OME-FES) was developed and applied in the field to evaluate the biological effects of petroleum hydrocarbons and *** selected physiological index and molecular indicators in OME-FES were appropriate biomarkers for indicating the harmful effects of petroleum hydrocarbons and *** outcome of OME-FES revealed that the biological effect levels of the sampling sites ranged from level Ⅰ(no stress) to level Ⅲ(medium stress),which is further corroborated by the findings of nested analysis of variance(ANOVA) *** results suggest that the OME-FES is an effective tool for evaluating and ranking the biological effects of marine petroleum hydrocarbons and *** method may also be applied to evaluate other marine pollutants based on its framework.

Protective Effects of Salubrinal on Liver Injury in Rat Models of Brain Death

Background： Previous studies have indicated that endoplasmic reticulum stress participates in and mediates liver injury and apoptosis in brain-dead （BD） rats. In this study, we observed the effect ofsalubrinal （Sal, Sigma, USA） on liver cells in BD rats and explored its relevant mechanisms. Methods： Thirty Sprague-Dawley rats were equally randomized into three groups： BD group, Sal group, and DMSO group. The BD models were established by increasing intracranial pressure in a modified, slow, and intermittent way. In the drug groups, Sal was administered I h before the induction of BD. After modeling was completed, the blood and liver samples were harvested. CHOP and Caspase-12 mRNA expression was detected using quantitative polymerase chain reaction. PKR-like ER kinase （PERK）, P-eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2a （elF2a）, elF2a, CHOP and caspase-12 expression was detected using western blotting （WB）. CHOP and caspase-12 distribution and expression in liver tissues were determined using immunohistochemistry （IHC）. Alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase level were detected using an automatic biochemical analyzer. Hepatic cell apoptosis was detected using TUNEL. The results were analyzed using Quantity-one v4.62 software （Bio-Rad, USA）. Results： CHOP and caspase-12 expression and PERK, elF2a, and P-elF2a protein expression showed no significant difference between BD group and DMSO group. Compared with BD group, Sal group had a significantly higher P-elF2C level and a lower P-PERK level 2 h and 6 h alter BD （P 〈 0.05）. However, eIF2a expression showed no significant difference （P 〉 0.05）. After the Sal treatment, CHOP and caspase- 12 mRNA expression significantly decreased 4 hatter BD （P 〈 0.05）. WB and IHC indicated that CHOP and caspase- 12 expression also significantly decreased after Sal treatment. Sal was associated with improved liver function and decreased hepatic cell apoptosis.
