The value of toxicological analysis in acute poisoning patients with uncertain exposure histories:a retrospective and descriptive study from an institute of poisoning

BACKGROUND:In clinical practice,some patients might not be able or unwilling to provide a thorough history of medication and poison *** aim of this study was to use toxicological analysis to examine the clinical characteristics of patients with acute poisoning whose exposure history was uncertain from a toxicological analysis ***:This was a retrospective and descriptive study from an institute of *** registration information and test reports spanning the period from April 1,2020 to March 31,2022,were *** with uncertain exposure histories and who underwent toxicological analysis were *** manifestations and categories of toxics were ***:Among the 195 patients with positive toxicological analysis results,the main causes of uncertain exposure history was disturbance of consciousness(62.6%),unawareness(23.6%)and unwillingness or lack of cooperation(13.8%).The predominant clinical manifestations were disturbed consciousness(62.6%),followed by vomiting and nausea(14.4%)and liver function abnormalities(8.7%).A comparison of clinical manifestations between patients with positive and negative(n=99)toxicological analyses results revealed significantly different proportions of disturbances in consciousness(63%vs.21%),dizziness(1.5%vs.5.1%),multi-organ failure(1.5%vs.7.1%),and local pain(0 vs 4%).The main categories of substances involved were psychiatric medications(23.1%),sedatives(20.5%),insecticides(13.8%),and herbicides(12.8%).CONCLUSION:The clinical manifestations of acute poisoning in patients with an uncertain exposure history are diverse and nonspecific,and toxicological analysis plays a pivotal role in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of such patients.

The solid-electrolyte-based memristors have attracted tremendous attention for the next-generation nonvolatile memory for both logic and neuromorphic ***,they encounter variability performance challenges which originated from the random ionic transport and conductive filaments ***,the electrochemical metallized mechanism associated with ion transport has been ***,the failure mechanism caused by ion transport during cycles is rarely ***,the five stages of failure in the Ag/Ag10Ge15Te75/W memristor are elucidated through ex-situ current-voltage measurements combined with in-situ transmission electron microscopy *** investigation reveals that the migration and enrichment of Ag ions result in the precipitation of Ag_(2)*** formation of Ag_(2)Te hinders the device's ability to maintain its bipolar characteristics and also decreases the resistance value of the high resistance state,thereby reducing the device's switching *** promising results provide important guidance for the future design of structures and the manipulation of ion transport for high-performance memristors.

Subnanometric bimetallic Pt–Pd clusters in zeolites for efficient hydrogen production and selective tandem hydrogenation of nitroarenes

The solvolysis of ammonia borane（AB） and the hydrogenation of nitroarenes represent significant reactions for hydrogen generation and value-added chemical synthesis. The strategic engineering of the catalysts is imperative for surmounting obstacles associated with their stability and catalytic efficiency. In this work, subnanometric bimetallic Pt–Pd clusters were encapsulated within silicalite-1（S-1） zeolites through a ligand-protected in-situ hydrothermal synthesis method. The synergetic effect of bimetallic composition and zeolite confinement markedly enhances the catalytic performance of representative Pt0.5Pd0.5@S-1-H catalyst, affording exceptional turnover frequency（TOF） values of 1,043 and 573 molH2molmetal-1min-1for AB hydrolysis and methanolysis at ambient conditions, respectively, surpassing most of the state-of-the-art Pt-based *** and isotopic experiments reveal that the bimetallic catalytic system remarkably boosts the O–H cleavage of water,thereby facilitating the H2production from AB hydrolysis. Remarkably, a conspicuous synergistic effect is demonstrated in the shape-selective tandem hydrogenation of nitroarenes, with the bimetallic catalyst facilitating both AB hydrolysis and nitroarene hydrogenation, giving a high TOF value of 1,260 h-1under atmospheric pressure. This study not only demonstrates the effectiveness of bimetallic nanocatalysts encapsulated in zeolites for hydrogen production from chemical hydrogen storage materials, but also paves the way for the design of catalysts with multifunctional active sites capable of synergistically promoting tandem catalytic processes.

A Low Earth Orbit(LEO)constellation augmenting satellite navigation is important in the future development of Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS).GNSS augmented by LEO constellations can improve not only the accuracy of Positioning,Navigation,and Timing(PNT),but also the consistency and reliability of secure PNT *** paper mainly analyzes the diverse demands of different PNT users for LEO augmented GNSS,including the precision demand in real-time,the availability demand in special areas,the navigation signal enhancement demand in complex electromagnetic environments,and the integrity demand with high ***,the possible contributions of LEO constellations to PNT performance are analyzed from multiple aspects.A particular attention is paid to the special PNT user requirements that cannot be fulfilled with existing GNSS,such as the PNT service demand in the polar regions and the onboard GNSS orbit determination demand of some LEO *** key technologies to be considered in the constellation design,function realization,and payload development of the LEO-augmented navigation system are summarized.

Enhancing reversible hydrogen storage performance of 2LiBH4–MgH2 via in-situ building heterogeneous nucleation sites

2LiBH4-MgH2composite is one of the most attractive reactive hydride composites with a theoretic hydrogen capacity of 10.8 wt%.However,the large nucleation restriction of MgB2during the second step of dehydrogenation results in sluggish hydrogen storage kinetics and high operating temperature,which hinders its practical application as on-board hydrogen storage ***,Al3Ti doped Al nanoparticles （AT NPs） are prepared by a facile chemical reduction reaction to improve the hydrogen storage performance of *** the initial H2desorption process,MgAlB4and TiB2that have identical crystal structure and low d-value mismatch with MgB2resulting from the reaction between AT NPs and 2LiBH4-MgH2composite serve as effective nucleation sites for the formation of *** a result,the apparent activation energy of the two-step H2desorption of AT NPs doped 2LiBH4-MgH2composite are notably decreased to （110.0±5.9） and（119.6±1.4） kJ·mol-1,which is 55.5 and 33.5 kJ·mol-1lower than that of the undoped *** importantly,a reversible hydrogen storage capacity of 9.2 wt%after 10cycles of H2desorption and adsorption could be achieved,corresponding to a capacity retention rate of 99%.The building of reactive bimetallic catalyst towards in situ formation of heterogeneous nucleation sites provides a new strategy for improving the hydrogen storage performance of reactive hydride composites.

Three-dimensional stability calculation method for high and large composite slopes formed by mining stope and inner dump in adjacent open pits

Phase equilibrium data prediction and process optimizationin butadiene extraction process

In response to the lack of reliable physical parameters in the process simulation of the butadiene extraction,a large amount of phase equilibrium data were collected in the context of the actual process of butadiene production by *** accuracy of five prediction methods,UNIFAC(UNIQUAC Functional-group Activity Coefficients),UNIFAC-LL,UNIFAC-LBY,UNIFAC-DMD and COSMO-RS,applied to the butadiene extraction process was verified using partial phase equilibrium *** results showed that the UNIFAC-DMD method had the highest accuracy in predicting phase equilibrium data for the missing ***-RS-predicted multiple systems showed good accuracy,and a large number of missing phase equilibrium data were estimated using the UNIFAC-DMD method and COSMO-RS *** predicted phase equilibrium data were checked for *** NRTL-RK(non-Random Two Liquid-Redlich-Kwong Equation of State)and UNIQUAC thermodynamic models were used to correlate the phase equilibrium *** device simulations were used to verify the accuracy of the thermodynamic model applied to the butadiene extraction *** simulation results showed that the average deviations of the simulated results using the correlated thermodynamic model from the actual values were less than 2%compared to that using the commercial simulation software,Aspen Plus and its *** average deviation was much smaller than that of the simulations using the Aspen Plus database(>10%),indicating that the obtained phase equilibrium data are highly accurate and *** best phase equilibrium data and thermodynamic model parameters for butadiene extraction are *** improves the accuracy and reliability of the design,optimization and control of the process,and provides a basis and guarantee for developing a more environmentally friendly and economical butadiene extraction process.
