Two new compounds,maniesculentins A(1)and B(6),together with four known ones were isolated from the stems of Manihot esculenta *** structures of the new compounds were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods including NMR spectroscopy and mass *** two new compounds(1,6)were assayed for antibacterial activity against four tested bacteria lines.

Uncarialines A-E(1-5),five undescribed monoterpene indole alkaloids,together with five known analogues were obtained from the stems of Uncaria *** 1-3 were unique 3,4-seco-tricyclic alkaloids with a 6/5/10 ring system,while 4 and 5 possessed a rare rearranged scaffold originated from corynantheine-type alkaloids with C-2/C-7 *** structures were characterized by a comprehensive analysis of MS,NMR,and *** effects on blood clotting times of human plasma were evaluated and alkaloid 5 had a slight prolongation effect on both thrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time(p<0.001).

Two new tirucallane triterpenoids,2a-ethoxy-2,3-secotirucalla-2,29-epoxy-7-ene-23-oxo-3-oic acid(1)and(23E)-2a-hydroxytirucalla-7,23,25-triene-3-one(2),along with the known 2,3-secotirucalla-2,3;2,29-diepoxy-7-ene-3,23-dione(3),were isolated from the leaves and twigs of Aphanamixis *** structures were elucidated by extensive NMR and MS data,and compound 3 was further confirmed by X-ray crystal diffraction *** activities and insecticidal activities of these three compounds were also *** 1 showed good antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus with the MIC value of 1.56μg/mL,while compounds 1 and 2 showed insecticidal activity at 100 ppm,with the corrected mortality 79.1%and 60.6%,respectively.

Background：Bisdemethoxycurcumin （BDMC） is an active component of curcumin and a chemotherapeutic agent,which has been suggested to inhibit tumor growth,invasion and metastasis in multiple *** its contribution and mechanism of action in invasion and metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer （NSCLC） are not very ***,we tried to study the effects of BDMC on regulation of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition （EMT）,which is closely linked to tumor cell invasion and ***：In this study,we first induced transforming growth factor-βl （TGF-β1） mediated EMT in highly metastatic lung cancer 95D ***,we studied the effects of BDMC on invasion and migration of 95D *** addition,EMT markers expressions were also analyzed by western blot and immunofluorescence *** contribution of Wnt inhibitory factor-1 （WIF-1） in regulating BDMC effects on TGF-β1 induced EMT were further analyzed by its overexpression and small interfering RNA knockdown ***：It was observed that BDMC inhibited the TGF-β1 induced EMT in 95D ***,it also inhibited the Wnt signaling pathway by upregulating WIF-1 protein *** addition,WIF-1 manipulation studies further revealed that WIF-1 is a central molecule mediating BDMC response towards TGF-β1 induced EMT by regulating cell invasion and ***：Our study concluded that BDMC effects on TGF-β1 induced EMT in NSCLC are mediated through WIF-1 and elucidated a novel mechanism of EMT regulation by BDMC.
