Background:Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is associated with impaired renal function,and both diseases often occur alongside other metabolic disorders.However,the prevalence and risk factors for impaired renal function in patients with NAFLD remain unclear.The objective of this study was to identify the prevalence and risk factors for renal impairment in NAFLD patients.Methods:All adults aged 18-70 years with ultrasound-diagnosed NAFLD and transient elastography examination from eight Asian centers were enrolled in this prospective study.Liver fibrosis and cirrhosis were assessed by FibroScan-aspartate aminotransferase(FAST),Agile 3+and Agile 4 scores.Impaired renal function and chronic kidney disease(CKD)were defined by an estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)with value of<90 mL/min/1.73 m^(2) and<60 mL/min/1.73 m^(2),respectively,as estimated by the CKD-Epidemiology Collaboration(CKD-EPI)equation.Results:Among 529 included NAFLD patients,the prevalence rates of impaired renal function and CKD were 37.4%and 4.9%,respectively.In multivariate analysis,a moderate-high risk of advanced liver fibrosis and cirrhosis according to Agile 3+and Agile 4 scores were independent risk factors for CKD(P<0.05).Furthermore,increased fasting plasma glucose(FPG)and blood pressure were significantly associated with impaired renal function after controlling for the other components of metabolic syndrome(P<0.05).Compared with patients with normoglycemia,those with prediabetes[FPG≥5.6 mmol/L or hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)≥5.7%]were more likely to have impaired renal function(P<0.05).Conclusions:Agile 3+and Agile 4 are reliable for identifying NAFLD patients with high risk of CKD.Early glycemic control in the prediabetic stage might have a potential renoprotective role in these patients.

Our previous studies demonstrated that oral vitamin A supplementation during late-stage pregnancy and the neonatal stage enhances birth weight,growth performance,and mRNA expression related to muscle and preadipocyte development in beef cattle.The alcohol dehydrogenase 1C(ADH1C)c.-64T>C genotype also correlated with vitamin A concentration in beef production.This study aimed to investigate the effects of vitamin A supplementation on the muscle development and vitamin A metabolism in weaned beef calves with different ADH1C genotypes.Twenty male calves(90 d of age;initial BW:89.03 kg[SD 8.60])were stratified according to ADH1C genotype and vitamin A treatment(duration:3 months)and randomly assigned to 4 groups with a 22 factorial arrangement.Vitamin A treatments included the following:control(10,000 IU/kg of as-fed,a.TT type;b.TC type);treatment(40,000 IU/kg of as-fed,c.TT type;and d.TC type).Parameters including BW,FI,blood,longissimus dorsi muscle,and liver status during the experimental period were analyzed using the generalized linear model(GLM)procedure and Tukey's test by SAS 9.4 program.Serum vitamin A was significantly increased(Psupplementation.The TC type of ADH1C showed higher mRNA expression than the TT type.However,no effect was observed on adipogenic mRNA expression(preadipocyte factor-1[PREF-1],peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma[PPARg],fatty acid binding protein 4[F

提高乡村教师的数字化教学素养是数字化时代乡村教育振兴的关键路径,是缩小城乡教育差距的时代机遇。通过建构结构方程模型,探讨教育数字化转型背景下乡村教师的组织支持感与数字化教学自我效能感在数字化持续专业发展与数字化教学素养关系中的作用。在中国19个省85个市收集12488名中小学教师的数据,分析发现:其一,乡村教师数字化持续专业发展积极显著影响数字化教学素养;其二,组织支持感在数字化持续专业发展与数字化教学素养关系中的中介效应显著;其三,数字化教学自我效能感在数字化持续专业发展与数字化教学素养中的中介效应显著;其四,乡村教师数字化持续专业发展通过组织支持感—数字化教学自我效能感这一中介链对数字化教学素养产生间接效应。

Effects of electroacupuncture on the functionality of NG2-expressing cells in perilesional brain tissue of mice following ischemic stroke

Neural/glial antigen 2(NG2)-expressing cells has multipotent stem cell activity under cerebral ischemia.Our study examined the effects of electroacupuncture(EA)therapy(2 Hz,1 or 3 mA,20 minutes)at the Sishencong acupoint on motor function after ischemic insult in the brain by investigating the rehabilitative potential of NG2-derived cells in a mouse model of ischemic stroke.EA stimulation alleviated motor deficits caused by ischemic stroke,and 1 mA EA stimulation was more efficacious than 3 mA EA stimulation or positive control treatment with edaravone,a free radical scavenger.The properties of NG2-expressing cells were altered with 1 mA EA stimulation,enhancing their survival in perilesional brain tissue via reduction of tumor necrosis factor alpha expression.EA stimulation robustly activated signaling pathways related to proliferation and survival of NG2-expressing cells and increased the expression of neurotrophic factors such as brain-derived neurotrophic factor,tumor growth factor beta,and neurotrophin 3.In the perilesional striatum,EA stimulation greatly increased the number of NG2-expressing cells double-positive for oligodendrocyte,endothelial cell,and microglia/macrophage markers(CC1,CD31,and CD68).EA therapy also greatly activated brain-derived neurotrophic factor/tropomyosin receptor kinase B and glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta signaling.Our results indicate that EA therapy may prevent functional loss at the perilesional site by enhancing survival and differentiation of NG2-expressing cells via the activation of brain-derived neurotrophic factor-induced signaling,subsequently ameliorating motor dysfunction.The animal experiments were approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of Pusan National University(approval Nos.PNU2019-2199 and PNU2019-2884)on April 8,2019 and June 19,2019.

目的研究白术甲醇-正己烷层萃取物(AH)对脂多糖(LPS)诱导的BV2细胞抗神经炎症作用及其相关机制,并分析AH主要成分。方法制备白术提取物;以高效液相色谱法(HPLC)分析AH主要成分;以LPS诱导BV2细胞建立炎症模型;以四甲基偶氮唑蓝(MTT)法检测细胞存活率;以Griess反应检测细胞上清液中NO水平;以ELISA法检测细胞上清液中前列腺素E_(2)(PGE_(2))、白细胞介素-6(IL-6)、肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)水平;以Western Blot法检测环氧合酶-2(COX-2)、诱导型一氧化氮合酶(iNOS)、丝裂原活化蛋白激酶(MAPK)、核转录因子-κB(NF-κB)蛋白表达。结果AH主要成分包括白术内酯Ⅱ、Ⅲ。AH可显著降低LPS诱导BV2细胞产生的NO、PGE_(2)、IL-6、TNF-α水平,同时降低iNOS、COX-2、MAPK、NF-κB蛋白表达。低浓度AH对PGE_(2)的抑制作用不弱于高浓度白术内酯Ⅱ、Ⅲ;高浓度AH对NO的抑制作用与高浓度白术内酯Ⅲ相似。结论AH回收率高,主要成分包括白术内酯Ⅱ、Ⅲ;AH有较好的抗神经炎症作用,其抗炎机制与MAPK和NF-κB通路有关。

Gastric cancer remains a significant global health concern and its surgical management approaches have undergone significant changes in South Korea and worldwide. Subtotal or total gastrectomy with D2 lymph node dissection is well established as a standard surgical procedure for gastric cancer. With the active implementation of cancer screening in South Korea, the proportion of early gastric cancer cases has significantly increased over the past few decades, leading to a steady increase in the survival rate among patients. Furthermore, recent advances in surgical instruments and techniques have made minimally invasive surgery increasingly prevalent, not only for early but also for advanced gastric cancer. We aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the evolution and current status of gastric cancer surgery in South Korea.

Spherical Fuzzy WASPAS-based Entropy Objective Weighting for International Payment Method Selection

In international trade,exporters prefer to receive payments as quickly as possible,and importers want to make payments as late as possible.In this respect,the payment field,an essential condition for trade transactions,also represents the positions of exporters and importers conflict.In addition,there are many cases in which various variables must be considered rather than only one specific variable representatively affecting payment,particularly in the case of import-export Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises(SMEs)from emerging countries.A selection of proper payment methods can be categorized as a Multi-Criteria Decision-Making(MCDM)issue.Therefore,this study aims to propose a novel and efficient Spherical Fuzzy Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment based Entropy Objective Weighting method(SF-EW and WASPAS-SF)to evaluate international payment methods with uncertain information.First,SF-EW model is applied to determine the relative weights of critical factors.Second,international payment method alternatives are prioritized by the WASPAS-SF approach.Five essential factors for four international payment methods are proposed based on experts’opinions and the existing literature.A real-world case study from Vietnamese import-export SMEs is presented to validate the applicability of the proposed framework.The results indicated that“Characteristics of payment method(PA)”had the most significant impact on international payment method selection.In comparison,“Letters of Credit(L/C)”was the most reliable payment method with the highest ranking available to international traders.Furthermore,a sensitivity analysis was performed to examine the validity and robustness of the proposed decision support model.Consequently,this study could contribute to international payment services and in the context of globalization and international trade.

Repair of a large patellar cartilage defect using human umbilical cord blood-derived mesenchymal stem cells:A case report

BACKGROUND Patellar dislocation may cause cartilage defects of various sizes.Large defects commonly require surgical treatment;however,conventional treatments are problematic.CASE SUMMARY A 15-year-old male with a large patellar cartilage defect due to patellar dislocation was treated via human umbilical cord blood-derived mesenchymal stem cell(hUCB-MSC)implantation.To our knowledge,this is the first report of this treatment for this purpose.The patient recovered well as indicated by good visual analog scale,International Knee Documentation Committee and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index scores.Magnetic resonance imaging showed cartilage regeneration 18 mo postoperatively.CONCLUSION Umbilical cord blood-derived hUCB-MSCs may be a useful treatment option for the repair of large patellar cartilage defects.

目的提升冠心生脉丸质量标准。方法TLC法定性鉴别人参和三七,分析采用硅胶G薄层板,以三氯甲烷-甲醇-水(13∶7∶2)10℃以下放置的下层溶液为展开剂,10%硫酸乙醇溶液为显色剂。HPLC法测定人参皂苷Rg1、人参皂苷Re、人参皂苷Rb1、人参皂苷Rd的含量,分析采用Thermo Accucore-C18色谱柱(4.6 mm×150 mm,2.6μm);流动相乙腈-水,梯度洗脱;体积流量0.8 mL/min;柱温20℃;检测波长203 nm。结果TLC斑点清晰,阴性无干扰。4种成分在各自范围内线性关系良好(R^(2)≥0.9999),平均加样回收率91.21%~106.86%,RSD 0.68%~1.43%。结论该方法专属性、重复性良好,可为冠心生脉丸质量控制提供参考。

Possibility of Solid Hydrometeor Growth Zone Identification Using Radar Spectrum Width

In this study,the correlation between simulated and measured radar velocity spectrum width(σ_(v))is investigated.The results show that the dendrites growth zones(DGZs)and needles growth zones(NGZs)mostly contain dendrites(DN)and needles(NE),respectively.Clearσ_(v) zones(1.11.2 m s^(-1),a differential reflectivity(ZDR)higher than 0 dB,and a cross-correlation coefficient(ρhv)less than 0.96.In contrast,prolate particles with relatively uniform shapes were observed in the NGZ withσ_(v)<0.6 m s^(-1),a ZDR less than 0 dB,andρhv higher than 0.97.The simulation results show that the DN exhibited a largerσ_(v) compared to the NE,and this observedσ_(v) was strongly dependent on the wind fluctuations(v’)due to turbulence or wind shear.In contrast,the NE exhibited a significantly smallσ_(v)~0.55 m s^(-1),which converges irrespective of v’.In addition,a strong correlation between the measuredσ_(v) values at five radar elevation angles(θ=6.2°,9.1°,13.1°,19°,and 80°)and those simulated in this study confirmed the significance of the analysis results.
