Synthesis of Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), and Mn(II) Complexes with Cipr.floxacin and Their.Evaluation of Antimicr.bial, Antioxidant and Anti-Tuber.ular.Activity

Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Mn(II) complexes synthesized by r.flux of 6-br.mo-3-(3-(4-chlor.phenyl)acr.loyl)-2H- chr.men-2-one, Cipr.floxacin and var.ous tr.nsition metal. 1H, 13C, Ir.and ESI Mass confir. the for.ation of ligand. The metal complexes wer. char.cter.zed on the basis of var.ous spectr.scopic techniques like Ir.studies and elemental analysis while the geometr. of complexes was octahedr.l which is confir.ed by electr.nic spectr. and ther.ogr.vimetr.c analysis. The compounds wer. subjected to antimicr.bial, antioxidant and anti-tuber.ular.activity scr.ening using ser.al br.th dilution method and Minimum Inhibitor. Concentr.tion (MIC) is deter.ined. Mn(II) complex has shown significant antifungal activity with an MIC of 6.25 μg/ml while Cu(II) complex is noticeable for.antibacter.al activity at the same concentr.tion. Anti-TB activity of the ligand has enhanced on complexation with Ni(II) and Co(II) ions. While Ni(II) complex shows super.or.antioxidant activity than other.complexes.
