The use of thallium(I) hydroxide (TlOH) as a base is known to extremely accelerate the Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction using organoboronic acid or organoboronic acid ester as a substrate. Here, we investigated the effects of TlOH by comparing with other conventional bases such as KOH, K2CO3, and CsF for Pd0-mediated rapid cross-coupling reactions between CH3I and organoborane reagents, such as phenyl-, (Z)-4-benzyloxy-2-butenyl-, and benzylboronic acid pinacol esters under the conditions CH3I/borane/Pd0/base (1:40:1:3) in THF/H2O or DMF/H2O for 5 min with an aim to fabricate a PET tracer efficiently. Consequently, however, the use of TlOH was much less efficient than the other bases for the acceleration of cross-coupling reactions. Thus, it was reconfirmed that the milder and non-toxic conditions using K2CO3 or CsF so far developed by our group were most appropriate for the rapid C-methylations.

A predual of B_σ-spaces is investigated. A predual of a predual of B_σ-spaces is also investigated,which can be used to investigate the boundedness property of the commutators. The relation between Herz spaces and local Morrey spaces is discussed. As an application of the duality results, one obtains the boundedness of the singular integral operators, the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operators and the fractional integral operators, as well as the commutators generated by the bounded mean oscillation(BMO) and the singular integral *** is new in this paper is that we do not have to depend on the specific structure of the operators. The results on the boundedness of operators are formulated in terms of B_σ-spaces and B_σ-spaces together with the detailed comparison of the ones in Herz spaces and local Morrey spaces. Another application is the nonsmooth atomic decomposition adapted to B_σ-spaces.

Shear wave elastography(SWE)is now becoming an indispensable diagnostic tool in the routine examination of liver *** particular,accuracy is required for shear wave propagation velocity measurement,which is directly related to diagnostic *** is generally accepted that the liver shear wave propagation velocity reflects the degree of fibrosis,but there are still few reports on other factors that increase the shear wave propagation *** this study,we reviewed such factors in the literature and examined their *** SWE measures propagation velocity based on the assumption that the medium has a homogeneous structure,uniform density,and is purely ***,the measurement is subject to *** other(confounding)factors that we routinely experience are primarily:(1)Conditions that appear to increase the viscous component;and(2)Conditions that appear to increase tissue ***,the former includes acute hepatitis,congested liver,biliary obstruction,etc,and the latter includes diffuse infiltration of malignant cells,various storage diseases,tissue necrosis,*** any case,it is important to evaluate SWE in the context of the entire clinical picture.

Breast cancer is not one disease,but can be categorized into four major molecular subtypes according to hormone receptor [estrogen receptor(ER) and progesterone receptor(Pg R)] and human epidermal growth factor receptor type 2(HER2) expression status. Ki67 labeling index and/or multigene assays are used to classify ERpositive,HER2-negative breast cancer into luminal A and luminal B(HER2-negative) subtypes. To date,most studies analyzing predictive or prognostic factors in ER-positive breast cancer have been performed in postmenopausal women,mainly using patients and samples in adjuvant aromatase inhibitor trials. In contrast,even the clinical roles of Pg R and Ki67 have been little analyzed so far in premenopausal women. Pg R is one of the estrogen-responsive genes,and it has been reported that plasma estradiol levels are related to expression levels of estrogen-responsive genes including PGR in ER-positive breast cancer. In this article,biological differences,especially differences in expression of Pg R and Ki67 in ER-positive breast cancer between pre- and postmenopausal women are discussed. Clinical roles of Pg R and Ki67 in ER-positive breast cancer differ between pre- and postmenopausal women. We suggest that the mechanisms of development and estrogen-dependent growth of ER-positive breast cancer might differ according to menopausal status.

Objective:To examine the effect of moxibustion on the wound healing process and its mechanism using a rat wound ***:Sixty male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a sham-treated group(n=30,wound surgery only)and a moxibustion group(n=30,wound treated with moxibustion).Circular fullthick ness skin wounds were produced in *** was applied to the edge of wound and was continued on alternating days till 14 days after surgery,followed by measurement of wound *** of collagens,prolyl-4-hydroxylase(P4H)and transtorming growth factor-β(TGF-β)were evaluated by histochemical study and real-time polymerase chain ***:The size of the wound lesion was significantly reduced in rats treated with moxibustion as compared to that in sham-treated rats at 4-10 days after wounding(P<0.01).Moxibusti on stimulated mRNA expressi on of collage ns at 4 days(P<0.01),but not at 7 days,accompa nied by enhanced proliferation of P4H-positive *** importanee,expression of TGF-β in tissue from the wound lesio n treated with moxibusti on was sign ifica ntly in creased as compared to that in sham-treated rats at 4 days(P<0.01 or P<0.05),but not at 7 ***:The treatment with moxibustion promoted the wound healing process in the early phase through proliferation of fibroblasts and rapid formation of granulation,possibly mediated by induction of TGF-β which is a key molecule in the physiological process of wound *** can be expected to be effective as complementary treatment for intractable ulcers.

SLC6A4 （solute carrier family 6, member 4） gene encodes a serotonin transporter （5-hydroxytryptamine transporter, HTT）, which transports synaptic serotonin into presynaptic terminal. SLC6A4 is known to be the target of antidepressants such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors （SSRIs）. In vitro manipulation of induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs) by environmental factors is of great interest for three-dimensional(3D) tissue/organ induction. The effects of mechanical force depend on many factors, including force and cell type. However,information on such effects in i PSCs is lacking. The aim of this study was to identify a molecular mechanism in i PSCs responding to intermittent compressive force(ICF) by analyzing the global gene expression profile. Embryoid bodies of mouse i PSCs, attached on a tissue culture plate in 3D form, were subjected to ICF in serum-free culture medium for 24 h. Gene ontology analyses for RNA sequencing data demonstrated that genes differentially regulated by ICF were mainly associated with metabolic processes,membrane and protein binding. Topology-based analysis demonstrated that ICF induced genes in cell cycle categories and downregulated genes associated with metabolic processes. The Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes database revealed differentially regulated genes related to the p53 signaling pathway and cell cycle. q PCR analysis demonstrated significant upregulation of Ccnd1, Cdk6 and Ccng1. Flow cytometry showed that ICF induced cell cycle and proliferation, while reducing the number of apoptotic cells. ICF also upregulated transforming growth factor β1(Tgfb1) at both m RNA and protein levels, and pretreatment with a TGF-β inhibitor(SB431542) prior to ICF abolished ICF-induced Ccnd1 and Cdk6 expression. Taken together,these findings show that TGF-β signaling in i PSCs enhances proliferation and decreases apoptosis in response to ICF, that could give rise to an efficient protocol to manipulate i PSCs for organoid fabrication.

BACKGROUND Although cyclophosphamide(CPA)is the key drug for the treatment of autoimmune diseases including vasculitides,it has some well-known adverse effects,such as myelosuppression,hemorrhagic cystitis,infertility,and ***,CPA-associated severe enteritis is a rare adverse effect,and only one case with a lethal clinical course has been ***,the appropriate management of patients with CPA-associated severe enteritis is *** SUMMARY We present the case of a 61-year-old woman diagnosed with granulomatosis with polyangiitis based on the presence of symptoms in ear,lung,and,kidney with positive myeloperoxidase-antineutrophil cytoplasmic *** received pulsed methylprednisolone followed by prednisolone 55 mg/d and intravenous CPA at a dose of 500 mg/*** days after the second course of intravenous CPA,she developed nausea,vomiting,and diarrhea,and was admitted to the *** testing revealed hypoalbuminemia,suggesting proteinlosing *** tomography revealed wall thickening of the stomach,small intestine,and colon with contrast enhancement on the lumen *** and immunosuppressive therapy were not effective,and the patient’s enteritis did not improve for>4 *** her condition became seriously exhausted,corticosteroids were tapered and supportive therapies including intravenous hyperalimentation,replenishment of albumin and gamma globulin,plasma exchange,and infection control were *** supportive therapies improved her condition,and her enteritis gradually *** was finally discharged 7 mo *** Immediate discontinuation of CPA and intensive supportive therapy are crucial for the survival of patients with CPA-associated severe enteritis.
