Background: The diagnosis of Non-ST Elevated Myocardial Infarction (NSTEMI) is dependent on elevation of high sensitivity troponin (Hs-troponin). The current cutoff point for Hs-troponin is highly sensitive but not specific for obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD). This study aims to determine the best cutoff point for diagnosing CAD in patients presented with NSTEMI. Methods: Our study included all patients admitted as NSTEMI that underwent coronary angiography (CAG). They were grouped into two groups: A and B. Group A has obstructive CAD of 70% or more stenosis and group B with non-obstructive CAD. Patients were assessed for their demographics, clinical history, laboratory and imaging results. Using SPSS version 22, the pooled cohort of patients were analyzed at significant level 0.05 and the data were tested for significant correlations between two predetermined groups. Results: Group A comprised 87.6% of the patients and both groups had a median age of 53 years. In Group A, 91% were males, 54% diabetics, 54% hypertensives, and median Hs-troponin was 145 ng/L. While in group B, 88% were males, 39% diabetics, 60% hypertensives, and median Hs-troponin was 54 ng/L. Contribution of h.drogeoch.mical and Isotopic Tools to th. Management of Upper and Middle Ch.liff Aquifers

In th. alluvial aquifers of Upper and Middle Ch.liff(North.West Algeria), th. groundwater quality is deteriorating. Th. objective of th.s study was to ch.racterize th. ph.sical and ch.mical properties of th.se aquifers;and to evaluate th. groundwater quality and its appropriateness for drinking and agricultural use. An investigation was carried out by estimating of th. ph.sioch.mical parameters(Ca^2+, Mg^2+, Na^+, K^+, Cl^-, SO4^2-, h.O3^-, NO3^-, Br^- and TDS) to identify th. ch.mical ch.racteristics of groundwater. Morever, th. isotopic composition was examined to identify th. sources of rech.rge of th.se aquifers. Th. groundwater geoch.mistry for th. h.gh.water level(May, 2012 and June, 2017) and low water level(November, 2012 and October, 2017) was studied. Accordingly, water samples from 39 water sampling points were collected(October, 2017 and June, 2018), for th. purpose of analyzing stable isotopes(18O, 2h.. Th. results sh.w th.t th. groundwater is mainly ch.racterized by Ca-Cl and Na-Cl type. Th. ch.mical quality of th. water is from fair to poor with.th. presence of nitrates used in agricultural and urban disch.rge. Also, th. Br/Cl ratio gives indications on th. origin of th. salinity. Th.s salinity is due to th. leach.ng of ch.orinated fertilizers, th. dissolution of evaporite deposits and th. rise of deep salty water by th. fault of Ch.llif. Wh.le, th. diagram of δ2h.f(δ18O) indicates th.t th. origin of th. rech.rge of th.se aquifers is th. Atlantic and Mediterranean oceanic meteoric rainwater.

In th.s paper, we prove some results concerning th. existence of solutions for some nonlinear functional-integral equations wh.ch.contain various integral and functional equations th.t are considered in nonlinear analysis. Our considerations will be discussed in Banach.algebra using a fixed point th.orem instead of using th. tech.ique of measure of noncompactness. An important special case of th.t functional equation is Ch.ndrasekh.r’s integral equation wh.ch.appears in radiative transfer, neutron transport and th. kinetic th.ory of gases [1].

Genome-Wide SNPs Identification and Determination of Proteins Associated with.Stress Response in Sorgh.m (<i>Sorgh.m bicolor</i>L. Monech. Accessions

Current efforts in sorgh.m breeding programs are exploiting genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) data to provide full-genome scans for desired traits. Th. aim of th.s study was to utilize GBS approach.for th. identification of genomic regions associated with.stress response in sorgh.m (Sorgh.m bicolor L. Monech. accessions. DNA samples of twenty sorgh.m accessions, h.ving different response to drough., were used to prepare GBS libraries for sequencing. SNPs were called using th. TASSELGBS pipeline and th. tags th.t present at least 10 times in th. dataset were considered and aligned to th. reference genome of Sorgh.m bicolor. Th. identified SNPs were all compared with.th. publish.d sorgh.m transcript related to stress response gene activity. Overall;94.40% tags were aligned and 69,736 putative SNPs positions were identified. Blast search.revealed h.mology to annotated h.at and drough.–tolerance associated genes wh.ch.code for ATPases, Peroxidase, h.droph.bic protein LTI6A, Aquaporin SIP2-1, Aconitate h.dratase and ph.sph.tidylinositol-4-ph.sph.te-5-kinase. Th. ph.logeny of th. 20 accessions was constructed using th. generated SNPs data. Ph.logenetic analysis data sh.wed th.t th. ph.notypically tolerant line (El9)?makes a separate cluster and th. same for th. accessions h.D8653 and h.D5612 near to th. cluster th.t includes most accessions with.known post-flowering drough. tolerance (h.D7410, h.S10033, h.D8552, GESh.ISh.and h.D8849). Post-flowering drough. sensitive accessions (Tabat, Wadah.ed, h.D6468 and h.D6478) formed a separate cluster wh.le th. sensitive accession h.D9959 and th. tolerant accessions h.D8511 and h.D9566 were distributed between th. two clusters. Th.s, cluster analysis confirmed th. variation among accessions in post-flowering drough. tolerance. With.furth.r validation, th.se markers may be used for marker assisted selection for breeding new sorgh.m genotypes with.stress adaptation.

Eryth.ma Nodosum Manifestation Post COVID-19 Vaccine: A Case Report

Eryth.ma nodosum (EN) is a delayed h.persensitivity response th.t may be triggered by a range of conditions, including infections and vaccines. Rare cases of EN caused by COVID-19 were recently reported but none due to COVID-19 vaccines were documented. We report h.re a case of EN occurring after COVID-19 vaccination. Patient presented with.painful nodular lesions of all 4 limbs, evolving for one month. Th.se lesions appeared 48 h.after th. second dose of COVID-19 vaccination. Th. patient reported no recent infectious episodes. Th. ph.sical examination found numerous, eryth.matous dermoh.podermatitis knots with.no palpable adenopath.. Some were regressive according to biligenesis sh.des. Biology and radiology findings eliminated oth.r common causes of th.s dermatosis. Th. skin biopsy was done and suggested EN. Th. final diagnosis was post COVID-19 vaccine EN. Patient received a symptomatic treatment and h.d a sligh. improvement of th. lesions 10 days after diagnosis. Ph.sicians sh.uld be aware of th. side effects of th. vaccine including skin manifestations, especially since more people are bound to be vaccinated.
