Structure defect prediction of single crystal turbine blade by dendrite envelope tracking model

The structure defects such as stray grains during unidirectional solidification can severely reduce the performance of single crystal turbine blades. A dendrite envelope tracking model is developed for predicting the structure defects of unidirectional solidification turbine blade. The normal vector of dendrite envelope is estimated by the gradient of dendrite volume fraction, and the growth velocity of the dendrite envelope (dendrite tips) is calculated with considering the anisotropy of grain growth. The solute redistribution at dendrite envelope is calculated by introducing an effective solute partition coefficient. Simulation tests show that the solute-build-up due to the rejection at envelope greatly affects grain competition and consequently solidification structure. The model is applied to predict the structure defects (e.g. stray grain) of single crystal turbine blade during unidirectional solidification. The results show that the developed model is reliable and has the following abilities: reproduce the growth competition among the different-preferential-direction grains; predict the stray grain formation; simulate the structure evolution (single crystal or dendrite grains).

It is widely accepted that further development of Pb-free solder alloys for improved processing and in-service properties of next-generation electronics,can be accelerated through a fundamental understanding of phase transformation and microstructure control in Pb-free solder *** characterization techniques including synchrotron radiation provide a comprehensive toolset to measure the composition,crystallography,morphology,and properties of the major components of solder *** research using such techniques is reviewed in detail including the characterization of the eff ects of microalloy additions on the microstructure and properties of Pb-free solder joints,especially those on the intermetallic *** discoveries outlined are of scientific and industrial relevance and have implications for new solder alloy composition design and the reliability of lead-free solder joints.

We define an m-involution to be a matrix K ∈ Cn×n for which Km -= I. In this article, we investigate the class Sm （A） of m-involutions that commute with a diagonalizable matrix A E Cn×n. A number of basic properties of Sm （A） and its related subclass Sm （A, X） are given, where X is an eigenvector matrix of A. Among them, Sm （A） is shown to have a torsion group structure under matrix multiplication if A has distinct eigenvalues and has non-denumerable cardinality otherwise. The constructive definition of Sm （A, X） allows one to generate all m-involutions commuting with a matrix with distinct eigenvalues. Some related results are also given for the class S,, （A） of m-involutions that anti-commute with a matrix A ∈ Cnn×n.

BACKGROUND The incidence of internal hernias has recently increased in concordance with the popularization of laparoscopic *** particular concern are internal hernias occurring in Petersen's space,a space that is surgically created after treatment for gastric cancer and *** hernias cause devastating sequelae,such as massive intestinal necrosis,fatal Roux limb necrosis,and superior mesenteric vein *** addition,protein-losing enteropathy(PLE)is a rare syndrome involving gastrointestinal protein loss,although its relationship with internal Petersen’s hernias remains *** SUMMARY A 75-year-old man with a history of laparotomy for early gastric cancer developed Petersen's hernia 1 year and 5 mo after *** was successfully treated by reducing the incarcerated small intestine and closure of Petersen’s defect without resection of the small *** 3 mo after his surgery for Petersen’s hernia,he developed bilateral leg edema and *** was diagnosed with PLE with an alpha-1 antitrypsin clearance of 733 mL/24 ***-balloon enteroscopy revealed extensive jejunal ulceration as the etiology,and it facilitated minimum bowel *** analysis showed extensive jejunal ulceration and collagen hyperplasia with nonspecific inflammation of all layers without lymphangiectasia,lymphoma,or vascular *** postoperative course was unremarkable,and his bilateral leg edema and hypoalbuminemia improved after 1 *** was no relapse over the 5-year follow-up *** PLE and extensive jejunal ulceration may occur after Petersen's *** enteroscopy helps identify and resect these lesions.

Nonylphenol ethoxylate (NPEO)-degrading bacteria were isolated from activated sludge using an improved isolation method, and the corresponding degradation behaviours were investigated. Eight NPEO-degrading strains distributed in genera Pseudomonas, Sphingomonas, Sphingobium, Cupriavidus, Ralstonia, Achromobacter, and Staphylococcus were acquired.
