Background and Purpose:Early brain injury is one of the key responsible factors for the poor prognosis of subarachnoid hemorrhage（SAH）.This study was aimed to determine the therapeutic effect of hydrogen gas（H2） inhalation on the early brain ***:SAH was induced by endovascular perforation in male Sprague-Dawley rats,which were divided into three groups:sham,SAH,and SAH treated with 2.9% H2 inhaled for 2 hours after *** 24 and 72 hours after SAH,mortality,body weight,neurologic deficits,and brain water content were ***-brain barrier（BBB） permeability,apoptosis,and oxidative stress were also measured at 24 hours after ***:Hydrogen gas significantly alleviated brain edema and BBB disruption,reduced apoptosis,ameliorated lipid peroxidation and DNA injury,and improved neurological function at 24 hours but not 72 hours after ***:The neuroprotective effect of hydrogen gas may be mediated by anti-oxidative stress during early brain injury after SAH.

Background:Letrozole is an orally active aromatase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of postmenopausal women with breast *** the bioavailability and pharmacokinetic(PK) properties of letrozole have been examined in western populations and healthy Chinese men,a literature search did not identify any reports concerning the bioavailability and PK properties of letrozole in a population of healthy Chinese postmenopausal women. Objective:The study was designed to assess and compare the PK properties and bioequivalence of two 2.5-mg tablets of letrozole:the newly developed generic formulation(test) and a branded formulation(reference) in healthy Chinese postmenopausal women. Methods:A single-dose,randomized,open-label,two-way crossover study was conducted in healthy Chinese postmenopausal women under fasting *** participants were randomly assigned to receive 1 tablet(2.5 mg each) of the test or reference formulation,followed by a 21-day washout period and administration of the alternate *** samples were collected before dosing and at 0.25,0.50,0.75, 1.00,1.25,1.50,2.00,2.50,3.00,3.50,4.00,6.00,8.00,12.00,24.00,48.00,72.00,96.00,144.00,192.00 and 240.00 hours after *** concentrations of letrozole were analyzed with a LC-MS/MS *** safety profile was evaluated by recording adverse events(AEs),assessed using physical examination,vital signs, spontaneous reporting,and clinical laboratory *** two formulations were considered bioequivalent if the 90%CIs for the In-transformed rations of C and AUC values were within the predetermined equivalence range (80%-125%). The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of copper/ low-density polyethylene nanocomposite(nano-Cu/LDPE)on the endometrial angiogenesis in rats,and one hundred sexually mature female SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:sham-operation groups(SO group,n=20),bulk copper groups (Cu group,n=20),LDPE groups(n=20),nano-Cu/LDPE groups Ⅰ(n=20)and Ⅱ(n=20). The levels of angiopoietin-2(Ang-2),its receptor(Tie-2)and CD34 of the rats’ endometrium in each group were examined by using S-P method of the immunohistochemistry at 30 d and 180 d after insertion,*** with those in the SO group,the expression of Ang-2 and Tie-2 in all experimental groups was obviously increased at 30 d after insertion,and these parameters in nano-Cu/ LDPE groups,except for Ang-2 level in nano-Cu/ LDPE group Ⅱ,were significantly lower with comparison to those in Cu group(P180 d after insertion,Ang-2 and Tie-2 levels were still higher in Cu group and LDPE group,but there was no difference of Ang-2 and Tie-2 levels between nano-Cu/ LDPE groups and SO group(P >0.05).Compared with those in the SO group,the significant increases in microvessel density(MVD)were observed at 30 d and 180 d after insertion of the bulk copper(P0.05).The results show that Nano-Cu/LDPE have the slighter influence on the endometrial angiogenesis than bulk copper.

Background:Caudal blockage is routinely used in our center for most of ambulatory anorectal surgery;patients need to be recovery as quickly as *** dose of local anesthetics is may be different for male and female *** designed this study to investigate the effect of sex on the minimal local anesthesia concentration of ropivacaine for caudal ***:In this double-blind, prospective study,we enrolled seventy ASA physical status I patients(35 male,35 female),who were scheduled for anorectal surgery and underwent caudal blockade,and allocated them to two study groups according to *** participant received a 20-mL single-shot of ropivacaine solution through a caudal *** first participants received 0.2%and subsequent concentrations were determined by the analgesic response of the previous patients to the initial skin incision and the lax anal sphincter by use of Dixon’s up-and-down sequential *** testing interval was set at 0.025%.The up-and-down sequences were analyzed using the Dixon and Massey method to quantify the caudal analgesic block effective concentrations in 50%of ***-sided P1).Conclusions:We concluded that sex is a determinant of the minimal local analgesic concentration to provide effective caudal analgesia.

Objective:To compare the effect and safety of nasal intermittent positive pressure ventilation（NIPPV） versus nasal continuous positive airway pressure（nCPAP） in neonatal respiratory distress ***:Standard search strategy for the Cochrane Neonatal Review Group was ***:14 eligible randomized controlled trials were *** a meta-analysis,as compared with nCPAP,NIPPV significantly reduced the incidence of endotracheal ventilation（OR=0.44,95%CI:0.31~ 0.63,P1）,increased the successful rate of extubation （OR=0.15,95%CI:0.08～0.31,P1）,and had a better outcome（OR=0.57,95%CI:0.37～0.88,P = 0.01）.Moreover, NIPPV improved apnea of prematurity（Wmd = -0.48,95%CI:-0.58~ -0.37,P1）,marginally decreased the incidence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia（OR=0.63,95%CI:0.39~ 1.00,P = 0.05）,but there was no significant changes of incidence in intraventricular hemorrhage and periventricular leukomalacia（OR=0.70,95%CI:0.43~ 1.15, P = 0.16）,retinopathy（OR=0.66,95%CI:0.35～1.25,P = 0.20）,pneumothorax or air leak（OR=0.55,95%CI:0.27～1.10, P = 0.09）,abdominal distenion（OR=1.28,95%CI:0.37～4.44,P = 0.70）,necrotizing enterocolitis（OR=0.61,95%CI: 0.29～1.28,P = 0.19）,patent ductus arteriosus（OR=0.92,95%CI:0.56～1.52,P = 0.76）,and the length of stay（Wmd = - 0.51,95%CI:-5.62～4.61,P = 0.85）.Conclusions:NIPPV could significantly reduce entracheal ventilation,increase successful extubation,improve apnea of prematurity,decrease the incidence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia,and have better outcome as compared with *** was no evidence to indicate that NIPPV could change the incidence of intraventricular hemorrhage,periventricular leukomalacia,patent ductus arteriosus,retinopathy, pneumothorax or air leak,abdominal distenion,necrotizing enterocolitis,and duration of hospitalization.

From the emergence of the genus "homo" over 2 million years age,until the agricultrural revoution of roughly 10. 000 years age our ancestors were hunter-gatherers,so the adaptive pressures inherent in that environmental niche have exerted defining influence on human genetic make up. The portion of our genome that determines basic anatomy and physio1ogy has remained relatively unchanged over the past 40. 000 years. Consequently, the complex interrelationship between energy intake, energy expenditure and specific physical activity requirements for current humans remains very similar to that orginally selected for stone age men and women who lived by gathering and *** hypothesis set forth by Eaton and Konner suggests that our genes, adapted over millions of years to the lifestyle of our prehis toric ancestors oprly tolerate the dramatic changes in our medern Iifestyle like stress, reduced physical activity, consumption of chemi cals including drugs; the profound alteration in our ha habits having occurred over the past few hundred years, fat consumption having increased from about 20 % of energy intake in the 1 850ies to about 50% toclay. It is calculated that the diet of our Paleolithic forefathers contained 5 to 10 times as much fiber as does the contemporary diet,5 to 10 times as much - 3 fatty acids,vitamins and antioxidants and up to 3 times as much protein.
