Autophagy is an intracellular degradation mechanism involved in antiviral defense,but the strategies employed by plant viruses to counteract autophagy-related defense remain unknown for the majority of the ***,we describe how the Chinese wheat mosaic virus(CWMV,genus Furovirus)interferes with autophagy and enhances its infection in Nicotiana *** two-hybrid screening and in vivo/in vitro assays revealed that the 19 k Da coat protein(CP19 K)of CWMV interacts with cytosolic glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenases(GAPCs),negative regulators of autophagy,which bind autophagy-related protein 3(ATG3),a key factor in ***19 K also directly interacts with ATG3,possibly leading to the formation of a CP19 K–GAPC–ATG3 ***19 K–GAPC interaction appeared to intensify CP19 K–ATG3 ***,CP19 K expression upregulated GAPC gene transcripts and reduced autophagic ***,the silencing of GAPC genes in transgenic *** reduced CWMV accumulation,whereas CP19 K overexpression enhanced ***,our results suggest that CWMV CP19 K interferes with autophagy through the promotion and utilization of the GAPC role as a negative regulator of autophagy.

The interactions of CD4^(+)T cells and B cells are fundamental for the generation of protective antibody responses,as well as for the development of harmful autoimmune *** studies of human tissues and blood samples have established a new subset of CD4^(+)B helper T cells named peripheral helper T(Tph)*** T follicular helper(Tfh)cells,which interact with B cells within lymphoid organs,Tph cells provide help to B cells within inflamed *** cells share many B helper-associated functions with Tfh cells and induce B cell differentiation toward antibody-producing *** differentiation mechanism is also partly shared between Tph and Tfh cells in humans,and both Tfh and Tph cells can be found within the same tissues,including cancer ***,Tph cells display features distinct from those of Tfh cells,such as the expression of chemokine receptors associated with Tph cell localization within inflamed tissues and a low Bd-6/Blimp1 *** that of Tfh cells,current evidence shows that the target of Tph cells is limited to memory B *** this review,we first summarize recent findings on human Tph cells and discuss how Tph and Tfh cells play shared and distinct roles in human diseases.

Ultraviolet light exposure and its penetrance through the eye in a porcine model

Appropriate Heart Rate in a Patient with Repaired Tetralogy of Fallot

Appropriate heart rate in a failing pulmonary ventricle remains unknown, particularly in congenital heart diseasewith unique hemodynamics. A 71-year-old male with repaired tetralogy of Fallot and a pacemaker for a sinusnode dysfunction suffered from heart failure symptoms with preserved left ventricular function. Simply changingthe pacemaker’s lower rate from 60 to 75 bpm, New York Heart Association classification improved from III to II,and hemodynamic parameters drastically improved. We regarded this case as informative. Appropriate heart ratecould be higher in congenital patients with failing right and non-failing left ventricles than in adults with malfunctioningLV.

Design on hopping locomotion mechanism

A new type of locomotion mechanism is introduced in this paper. With vibrating motors used in controling the movement of the hopping locomotion mechanism, the simple hopping locomotion mechanism had two motors, when the current went through the vertical motor, the vertical motor would vibrate to cause the mechanism to go forward, and when the current went through the horizontal motor, the mechanism will go around itself. A spring was added to the mechanism to change the natural frequency of the mechanism, when the frequency of the motor was equal to the natural frequency of the mechanism, the mechanism would hop resonantly. With the resonant hopping, the load of the mechanism was greatly enlarged, and some sensors could be added to the mechanism. Optical sensors were used to detect the infrared source, the current that went through the sensors related to the distance between the infrared light. Three optical sensors was put on the left, right and the front the mechanism, when the mechanism detect the special infrared source, it would turn itself to the light, and go forward to the light. The experiments of the mechanism shown that the mechanism could work well on different surfaces freely, and the resonant hopping locomotion mechanism with infrared sensors could move to the special light by automatic regulation. Experimental results and theoretical studies demonstrate that the innovative design for hopping locomotion mechanism is superior.

Effects of Training to Improve Novice Nurses’ Sense of Coherence

Background: Our previous research concerned the relation between Sense of Coherence, workplace stress, and burnout for nurses in their first three years of work. We found that their psychological state in the first three months on the job was particularly critical to their success and retention. As workplace stress increased over their first three years, their Sense of Coherence declined, and their burnout increased. Follow-up interviews after five years revealed the importance of identifying role models early on and feeling their own growth in the responses of their patients. Based on these findings, in 2015 we instituted a program to improve new nurses’ Sense of Coherence. The present research was to evaluate the effectiveness of this training program. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a training program in raising Sense of Coherence. Method: From June of 2015 to March of 2017, we surveyed Sense of Coherence of 137 new nurses who completed our training program, comparing them to a cohort of 960 nurses whom we had studied in 2010-11 without such a training program. We analyzed their responses using SPSS Version 24.0, taking a probability of less than 5% to be significant. Results: In terms of Sense of Coherence, the training program improved new nurses’ “comprehensibility” and “manageability” in the first three months, but both dropped to levels comparable to the untrained nurses after six months. There was no significant difference in “meaningfulness”, which dropped over the first year in both groups. Categorized into three groups according to SOC score at the time of employment in the intervention group, 36 participants were classified into the low score group, 41 participants were classified into the medium score group, and 44 participants were classified into the high score group. Then changes in SOC in each group were then compared. In the LOW group, the scores for “comprehensibility”, “manageability”, and “meaningfulness”

Estimating reflectance and shape of objects from a single cartoon-shaded image

Although many photorealistic relighting methods provide a way to change the illumination of objects in a digital photograph, it is currently difficult to relight digital illustrations having a cartoon shading style. The main difference between photorealistic and cartoon shading styles is that cartoon shading is characterized by soft color quantization and nonlinear color variations that cause noticeable reconstruction errors under a physical reflectance assumption, such as Lambertian reflection. To handle this non-photorealistic shading property, we focus on shading analysis of the most fundamental cartoon shading technique. Based on the color map shading representation, we propose a simple method to determine the input shading as that of a smooth shape with a nonlinear reflectance property. We have conducted simple ground-truth evaluations to compare our results to those obtained by other approaches.

How Do Patients and Providers React to Different Incentives in the Chinese Multiple Health Security Systems？

Background：China has achieved universal health insurance *** study examined how patients and hospitals react to the different designs of the plans and to monitoring of patients by the local authority in the Chinese multiple health security ***：The sample for analysis consisted of 1006 orthopedic inpatients who were admitted between January and December 2011 at a tertiary teaching hospital located in *** conducted general linear regression analyses to investigate whether medical expenditure and length of stay differed according to the different ***：Patients under plans with lower copayment rates consumed significantly more medication compared with those under plans with higher copayment *** plans with an annual ceiling for insurance coverage,patients spent significantly more in the second half of the year than in the first half of the *** length of stay was shorter among patients when there were government monitoring and a penalty to the hospital service ***：Our results indicate that the different designs and monitoring of the health security systems in China cause opportunistic behavior by patients and *** is necessary to reduce those incentives,and improve equity and efficiency in healthcare use.
