Mo^(6+)Modified(K_(0.5)Na_(0.5))NbO_3 Lead Free Ceramics:Structural,Electrical and Optical Properties

Lead free polycrystalline ceramics （K0.5Na0.5）Nb（1-x）MoxO3 （x = 0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06 and 0.08） have been synthesized via solid state reaction method. The formation of single phase perovskite structure up to 6 mol% of Mo^6＋ has been confirmed by X-ray diffraction pattern. Impedance spectroscopy reveals that bulk resistance decreases with increasing temperature, which indicates negative temperature coefficient of resistance （NTCR） behaviour of the compounds. The diffuse reflectance spectroscopy results indicate a red shift of the band gap energy of K0.5Na0.5NbO3 （KNN, from 4.28 to 3.61 eV） with increasing Mo^6＋ concentration due to structural modification. The photoluminescence spectra of doped samples are composed of two emission bands at room temperature. One emission band is near band edge ultraviolet （UV） emission （354 nm） and other is visible emission band （-397 nm） which may explore the possibility of these ceramics to be used in optical device applications.

Intracapsular fracture of the proximal femur in a bilateral above-knee amputee: A case report with technical tips for intraoperative positioning and literature review

Intracapsular fractures of the proximal femur are one of the most common fractures of the lower limbs. Most cases require osteosynthesis with suitable implants, and intraoperative positioning of the patient on the fracture table is a prerequisite to facilitate fracture manipulation, traction, reduction and fluoroscopy assessment. However, positioning the limbs of bilateral above-knee amputees for internal fixation of related proximal femoral fractures is a difficult task, which requires customized inventory for effective limb positioning and fracture manipulation. This study reported a rare case following a crush injury of bilateral lower limb in a road traffic accident, and described some technical tips of acute femoral neck fractures in bilateral above-knee amputation. The patient was managed with immediate guillotine amputation and later secondary wound closure followed by internal fixation of the right-sided femoral neck fracture with multiple cancellous cannulated screws.

Software Defect Prediction Using Hybrid Machine Learning Techniques: A Comparative Study

When a customer uses the software, then it is possible to occur defects that can be removed in the updated versions of the software. Hence, in the present work, a robust examination of cross-project software defect prediction is elaborated through an innovative hybrid machine learning framework. The proposed technique combines an advanced deep neural network architecture with ensemble models such as Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest (RF), and XGBoost. The study evaluates the performance by considering multiple software projects like CM1, JM1, KC1, and PC1 using datasets from the PROMISE Software Engineering Repository. The three hybrid models that are compared are Hybrid Model-1 (SVM, RandomForest, XGBoost, Neural Network), Hybrid Model-2 (GradientBoosting, DecisionTree, LogisticRegression, Neural Network), and Hybrid Model-3 (KNeighbors, GaussianNB, Support Vector Classification (SVC), Neural Network), and the Hybrid Model 3 surpasses the others in terms of recall, F1-score, accuracy, ROC AUC, and precision. The presented work offers valuable insights into the effectiveness of hybrid techniques for cross-project defect prediction, providing a comparative perspective on early defect identification and mitigation strategies. .

The purpose of this note is to point out several obscure places in the results of Ahmed and Zeyada [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 274 (2002) 458-465]. In order to rectify and improve the results of Ahmed and Zeyada, we introduce the concepts of locally quasi-nonexpansive, biased quasi-nonexpansive and conditionally biased quasi-nonexpansive of a mapping w.r.t. a sequence in metric spaces. In the sequel, we establish some theorems on convergence of a sequence in complete metric spaces. As consequences of our main result, we obtain some results of Ghosh and Debnath [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 207 (1997) 96-103], Kirk [Ann. Univ. Mariae Curie-Sklodowska Sec. A LI.2, 15 (1997) 167-178] and Petryshyn and Williamson [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 43 (1973) 459-497]. Some applications of our main results to geometry of Banach spaces are also discussed.

Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is one of the major ingredients for the development of efficient software systems within a time frame and low-cost involvement. From the literature, it is evident that there are various kinds of process models that are used by the software industries for the development of small, medium and long-term software projects, but many of them do not cover risk management. It is quite obvious that the improper selection of the software development process model leads to failure of the software products as it is time bound activity. In the present work, a new software development process model is proposed which covers the risks at any stage of the development of the software product. The model is named a hemant-Vipin (HV) process model and may be helpful for the software industries for development of the efficient software products and timely delivery at the end of the client. The efficiency of the HV process model is observed by considering various kinds of factors like requirement clarity, user feedback, change agility, predictability, risk identification, practical implementation, customer satisfaction, incremental development, use of ready-made components, quick design, resource organization and many more and found through a case study that the presented approach covers many of parameters in comparison of the existing process models. .

Monitoring localized corrosion of Inconel 82 weld overlay on 304L SS weld by electrochemical noise

The manuscript presents the results from the electrochemical noise (EN) monitoring of Inconel 82 weld overlay on Type 304L stainless steel (SS) weld in 0.01M FeCl3. The microstructure of the weld overlay obtained from optical and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed an austenite structure, containing equiaxed dendrites and secondary phases at the interdendritic region. Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) attached to SEM revealed the secondary phases to be Nb rich Laves phase. The electrochemical potential noise was monitored using a three identical electrode configuration. The acquired signals were detrended, and wavelet analysis was employed to encode useful information from the noise transients. Visual examination of the potential noise-time record contained distinct high amplitude transients typical of localized corrosion attack. The energy distribution plots (EDP) of the potential noise derived from wavelet analysis depicted maximum relative energy on D6-D8 crystals, which represent large time scale events such as those occurring from localized attacks. Also, repassivation events too could be divulged from the potential EDP. The micrographs of the post electrochemical noise experimented specimens revealed the occurrence of localized attacks along the interdendritic region and none inside the dendritic cores. The presence of secondary phases along the interdendritic regions was found to be detrimental in chloride medium, imparting inferior localized corrosion resistance to the weld overlay.
