UV/O<sub>3</sub>Preirradiated Cotton fabric-Containing Chitosan for Effective Removal of Heavy Metals

Objective:to review the most commonly used methods for the treatment of MTD and relate their outcomes on facial structures in three dimensions to east Asian esthetic preferences, and discuss the reasons behind the difference in their popularity in east Asian centers. Based on our experience and hospital’s data, we discuss our indications and modifications required to achieve the most esthetic and functional outcomes. Methods:239 adult class Ⅲ patients with maxillary transverse deficiency who visited between April 2011 and November 2016 were enrolled in this retrospective study. The treatment plan included total(194 cases) or segmental(36 cases) maxillary Le fort osteotomy with premolar extraction in pre-surgical orthodontic by one step, and surgically assisted rapid maxillary expansion(SARME) combined with conventional orthognathic surgery(9 cases) by two steps. Clinical results were evaluated by medical photography, cast models, occlusion and cephalometric radiographic examination. Results:Outcomes and feedback information from patients showed that appropriate selection of relevant modalities could acquire a more harmonious profile look, with significant improvement of the maxillary arch-width and intermaxillary occlusion congruity. Conclusion:Adult Class Ⅲ east-Asian patients with MTD have unique combinations of facial and dental features. Detailed measurements and design should be considered comprehensively to achieve optimal results.

The present work aims at studying the effect of Ultra-Violet/Ozone (UV/O3) irradiation of cotton fabrics on their interaction with chitosan/citric acid based formulation and, the onset of this on the ability of treated fabrics to remove heavy metal ions from their aqueous solutions. To achieve the goal, the cotton fabrics were preirradiated for 90 minutes using UV/O3 as radiation source. The irradiated and the unirrdadiated cotton fabrics were submitted to finishing formulation consisting essentially of chitosan as a finishing agent and citric acid as crosslinking agent in combination with sodium hypophosphite (SHP) as a catalyst. finishing formulation containing different concentrations of chitosan (0 - 4) along with citric acid (8 g/l) and SHP (4 g/l) were used and the interaction of chitosan with the cotton fabric was assessed through nitrogen measurement. The preirradiated and chemically finished fabrics vis-à-vis the unirrdadiated fabrics were examined for metal ion removal. Results conclude that the preirradiated cotton fabrics exhibit higher nitrogen content than the unirrdadiated fabrics. The same holds true for heavy metal removal, exemplified by Zn2+ and Cd2+ ions from their aqueous solutions. That is, preirradiated fabrics containing chitosan display higher percent heavy metal removal than their unirrdadiated mates.

This study examines the hydrodynamic performance of multiple-row vertical slotted breakwaters. We developed a mathematical model based on an eigenfunction expansion method and a least squares technique for Stokes second-order waves. The numerical results obtained for limiting cases of double-row and triple-row walls are in good agreement with results of previous studies and experimental results. Comparisons with experimental measurements of the reflection, transmission, and dissipation coefficients （CR, Cr, and CE） for double-row walls show that the proposed mathematical model adequately reproduces most of the important features. We found that for double-row walls, the CR increases with increasing wave number, kd, and with a decreasing permeable wall part, din. The Cr follows the opposite trend. The CE slowly increases with an increasing kd for lower kd values, reaches a maximum, and then decreases again. In addition, an increasing porosity of dm would significantly decrease the CR while increasing the Cr. At lower values of kd, a decreasing porosity increases the CE, but for high values of kd, a decreasing porosity reduces the Ce. The numerical results indicate that, for triple-row walls, the effect of the arrangement of the chamber widths on hydrodynamic characteristics is not significant, except when kd〈0.5 Double-row slotted breakwaters may exhibit a good wave-absorbing performance at kd〉0.5, where by the horizontal wave force may be smaller than that of a single wall. On the other hand, the difference between double-row and triple-row vertical slotted breakwaters is marginal.

Improving the Nutritional Values of Wheat and Rice Crackers by Using Cauliflowers

The present study described the enhancement of the nutritional values of wheat and rice crackers by adding cauliflowers. The results showed that 25% - 75% cauliflower replaced in crackers increased the consumer acceptability, nutritional value, antioxidant activity, minerals, and anti-carcinogenic effect. Moreover, it also improved the functional properties and sensory quality. The results revealed that the raw samples of cauliflower recorded the highest value of moisture, ash, protein and fiber 89.29%, 7.68%, 19.04% and 10.18% on dry weight, respectively. The crackers formula of cauliflower: wheat 75%:25% and cauliflower: rice 75%:25% recorded the highest values in ash, protein, fat, and fiber. The data showed that increasing cauliflower percentage in crackers formula causing a parallel increase in all determined chemical composition. Cauliflower samples exhibited the highest antioxidant activity (92.94%). Also, crackers samples of cauliflower: wheat 75%:25% crackers, recorded 57.6% for antioxidant activity. The highest values of phenols and flavonoids for cauliflower cracker samples (cauliflower: wheat 75%:25% and cauliflower: rice 50%:50%) have increased up to (5.75 and 5.49) respectively. The results showed that the higher mineral content is the sulfur (635.96 mg/100g) in raw cauliflower, while (1.00 mg/100g, and 0.99 mg/100g sulfur content) in wheat and rice respectively. Moreover, the result found that as the cauliflower percentage increases, the minerals contents especially sulfur increase. furthermore, the cauliflower displayed moderate activity for human hepatocellular carcinoma, colon cancer and intestinal epithelial barrier treatment, (IC50 font-family:Verdana;">= 183.4 ± 6.8, 175.8 ± 7.1 and 207.2 ± 8.5 μg/mL, respectively). 随着自动化生产程度的提高,人们对于产品的生产效率和质量有了更高的要求。印刷电路(PCB)作为集成电路的核心部件,是保证智能产品稳定性极其重要的关键部件,用以保证PCB板质量的表面污染物检测方法和应用技术显得至关重要。PCB板经焊接后印制,在制造过程中不可避免地会沾染上周围环境中的碎屑和污垢以及助焊剂残留物等化学物质。这些表面污染物会对PCB板的性能造成严重的危害,因此在PCB电路板服役之前必须对其表面的污染物进行识别和检测,从而针对不同的污染物采用不同的清洗方法,从而提高清洗PCB板的效率,达到节约成本的目的。传统的人工检测技术已不能满足生产需求,不能满足污染物识别与定量的检测要求,检测速度慢和质量较差,并且大多数生产线不能灵活应用,所以需要更加先进智能的高效率检测方法。机器视觉检测系统是一种非接触测量方法,能够实现连续、快速、高精度的污染物检测与识别,近年来得到了迅速的发展和广泛的运用,成为当今检测技术的研究热点之一。本文以机器视觉为基础,设计了一套印刷电路板表面污染杂质检测系统,利用图像处理方法实现了待检印刷电路板的位置检测,完成了印刷电路板的表面污染物检测。本课题主要研究PCB的表面污染检测与识别,主要包括:预处理算法、配准算法和检测算法,并确保算法的准确性和有效性,然后优化算法以改善项目过程中的问题。主要研究内容包括三个方面:首先,基于机器视觉理论知识,以及印刷电路板检测的要求,完成光源、镜头、Basler摄像机、图像采集架等硬件的参数计算和设备型号选择;然后根据电路板检测要求,完成了图像采集系统的设计,基于Matlab设计相应的控制程序,控制相机进行电路板图像的获取;在获取目标图像之后,运用图像处理的相关知识,处理目标图像,最终识别印刷电路板(PCBs)表面污染物检测。本文最终在图像采集平台上,通过基于Matlab的程序设计和机器视觉,编程实现了检测平台的运动控制、图像采集以及图像处理,完成了电路板检测系统的设计,能够实现对印刷电路板表面的污染物的识别检测。

In this paper, the characteristic function method is applied to seek traveling wave solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations in a unified way. We consider the Wu-Zhang equation (which describes (1 + 1)-dimensional disper-sive long wave). The equations governing the wave propagation consist of a pair of non linear partial differential equations. The characteristic function method reduces the system of nonlinear partial differential equations to a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations which is solved via the shooting method, coupled with Rungekutta scheme. The results include kink-profile solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions and rational solutions. As an illustrative example, the properties of some soliton solutions for Wu-Zhang equation are shown by some figures.

The prevalence of hypertension in iterative hemodialysis (HD) remains high and was associated with a high morbidity and mortality. It was a single-center retrospective study including 124 pa-tients on chronic HD in our unit. The prevalence of hypertension was determined from blood pressure (BP) monitoring in beginning, middle and end of dialysis. We defined hypertension as systolic BP (SBP) greater than or equal to 140 mmHg and/or diastolic BP (DBP) greater than or equal to 90 mmHg on at least two measures. We have established a comparative study between the group of hypertensive dialysis and those not hypertensive. The prevalence of hypertension was 69.35% (86/124). The mean age was 57.15 years with a sex ratio of 1.2. Echocardiograms, performed in 64.5% of patients, showed a high prevalence of cardiac consequences of hypertension with left ventricular hypertrophy in 80% of patients and an average ejection fraction of 62%. Diabetes, dialysis one session per week and the non-compliance with lifestyle and dietary rules were significantly associated with hypertension in HD in our study. The effect of HD on BP is dose-dependent. The reduction of BP allows a lower risk of cardiovascular (CV) events and mortality in hypertensive patients.

Mediterranean Sea considered as a main hydrocarbon province in Egypt as a huge reservoirs have been discovered till now. Port fouad marine is a gas and condensate field located in Eastern Mediterranean Sea about 30 KM off Egyptian coast, in a water depth of about 30 m. The Concession is operated by PETROBEL on behalf of Petrosaid (Port Said Petroleum Company). The field was put on production on April 1996, from the Miocene turbidities sands of Wakar formation plus Pilocene Kafr EL Sheikh formation. Darfeel field is located within Port fouad Concession, seven wells have been drilled till now and producing from Pliocene section (Kafr El Sheikh formation). Pliocene is the main reservoir in Darfeel field which characterized by turbidities sand stone. The aim of this work is to identify the distribution of turbidities sand and characterize sand reservoirs using AVO (amplitude verses offset) and seismic attributes techniques. The workflow is starting from conventional seismic interpretation, maps (time, depth, and amplitude), depositional environments, and finally structure setting. In addition to use some of unconventional seismic interpretation such as seismic attributes. AVO analysis and attributes had been applied in a temp of differentiate between gas sand reservoirs and non-gas reservoirs. The final result aid to identify the reservoir distribution and characterization of sand reservoirs through the field. So, the use of different seismic techniques is powerful techniques in identifying reservoir distribution.
