Dynamic connectedness and network in the high moments of cryptocurrency,stock,and commodity markets

This study examines the connectedness in high-order moments between cryptocurrency,major stock(U.S.,U.K.,Eurozone,and Japan),and commodity(gold and oil)*** intraday data from 2020 to 2022 and the time and frequency connectedness models of Diebold and Yilmaz(Int J Forecast 28(1):57–66,2012)and Barunik and Křehlik(J Financ Econom 16(2):271–296,2018),we investigate spillovers among the markets in realized volatility,the jump component of realized volatility,realized skewness,and realized *** higher-order moments allow us to identify the unique characteristics of financial returns,such as asymmetry and fat tails,thereby capturing various market risks such as downside risk and tail *** results show that the cryptocurrency,stock,and commodity markets are highly connected in terms of volatility and in the jump component of volatility,while their connectedness in skewness and kurtosis is ***,jump and volatility connectedness are more persistent than that of skewness and kurtosis *** rolling-window analysis of the connectedness models shows that connectedness varies over time across all moments,and tends to increase during periods of high ***,we show the potential of gold and oil as hedging and safe-haven investments for other markets given that they are the least connected to other markets across all moments and investment *** findings provide useful information for designing effective portfolio management and cryptocurrency regulations.

This study investigates tail dependence among five major cryptocurrencies,namely Bitcoin,Ethereum,Litecoin,Ripple,and Bitcoin Cash,and uncertainties in the gold,oil,and equity *** the cross-quantilogram method and quantile connectedness approach,we identify cross-quantile interdependence between the analyzed *** results show that the spillover between cryptocurrencies and volatility indices for the major traditional markets varies substantially across quantiles,implying that diversification benefits for these assets may differ widely across normal and extreme market *** normal market conditions,the total connectedness index is moderate and falls below the elevated values observed under bearish and bullish market ***,we show that under all market conditions,cryptocurrencies have a leadership influence over the volatility *** results have important policy implications for enhancing financial stability and deliver valuable insights for deploying volatility-based financial instruments that can potentially provide cryptocurrency investors with suitable hedges,as we show that cryptocurrency and volatility markets are insignificantly(weakly)connected under normal(extreme)market conditions.

BACKGROunD Ewing’s sarcoma(ES)is a neuroectodermal tumor that typically occurs in the bones and soft tissues of children and young *** renal ES is rare;only a few cases and a small case series have been documented,and only four cases involved primary renal ES in older people(>65 years old).CASE SUMMARY Herein,we describe the radiological and pathological features of primary renal ES in an older person.A 76-year-old man complained of poor oral intake and was found to have a large cystic renal mass with indistinct margins on computed ***-guided biopsy revealed that the tumor contained small round blue *** patient underwent a right radical *** tumor cells showed diffuse membranous CD99,and nuclear friend leukemia integration 1 transcription factor and NK2 Homeobox *** in situ hybridization revealed EWSR1 ***,18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography revealed no evidence of *** patient was diagnosed with primary renal *** months following the surgery,local recurrence and distant metastasis were *** renal ES is rare and often lethal in older *** specific imaging findings are unknown,and treatment protocols have not been *** This case report describes the radiological and pathological features of primary renal ES in an older person.

ELK3-ID4 axis governs the metastatic features of triple negative breast cancer

Purpose:Cancer cell metastasis is a multistep process,and the mechanism underlying extravasation remains ***3 is a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in regulating various cellular processes,including cancer *** on the finding that ELK3 promotes the metastasis of triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC),we investigated whether ELK3 regulates the extravasation of TNBC by forming the ELK3-ID4 ***4 functions as a transcriptional regulator that interacts with other transcription factors,inhibiting their activity and subsequently influencing various biological processes associated with cell differentiation,survival,growth,and ***:We assessed the correlation between the expression of ELK3 and that of ID4 in TNBCs using bioinformatics analyses,QRT-PCR,western blot analysis,luciferase reporter assays,and chromatin ***,adhesion,invasion,and lung metastasis assays were employed to determine whether the ELK3-ID4 axis regulates the metastatic features of ***:We found that ELK3 binds directly to a binding motif close to the ID4 promoter to repress promoter *** expression of E-cadherin in TNBC was regulated by the ELK3-ID4 *** vitro and in vivo analyses showed that inhibiting ID4 expression in ELK3-knockdown MDA-MB-231(ELK3KD)cells restored the ability to extravasate and ***:The results indicate that the ELK3 regulates ID4 promoter activity,and that the ELK3-ID4 axis regulates the metastatic characteristics of TNBC ***,the data suggest that the ELK3-ID4 axis regulates metastasis of TNBCs by modulating expression of E-cadherin.

Hiking trails are a basic type of tourist infrastructure,which,on the one hand,make areas available for tourist traffic,and on the other hand,can contribute to the protection of the natural environment(if they are well designed and maintained).Owing to the variety of performed functions,their designation is determined by several factors:natural,technical,economic,*** of trails change *** aim of this article is to determine exactly what factors influence transformations within the hiking trail networks and what is their *** this end,three study areas in the Sudetes were analysed:one on the Polish side of the Sudetes-the Table(Stołowe)Mountains,and two on the Czech side-the rock town near the village of Sloup vČechách and the central part of Zlatohorská*** analysis of changes in the shape of the networks over time was carried out,as well as surveys of institutions that were responsible for or influenced these *** areas are characterised by a significant level of changes in the trail *** the factors influencing these changes,the tourist attractiveness of the area,the resilience of the environment,the intensity of tourism traffic,the environmental transformations associated with it,the history of tourism development and land ownership changes should be considered the most *** each stage of forming networks,the key factor should be tourists’needs,including the desire to escape the urbanised *** this reason,trails should avoid roads with artificial(hard)surfaces and heavy automobile traffic.

Adaptive multicolor filters have emerged as key components for ensuring color accuracy and resolution in outdoor visual ***,the current state of this technology is still in its infancy and largely reliant on liquid crystal devices that require high voltage and bulky structural ***,we present a multicolor nanofilter consisting of multilayered‘active’plasmonic nanocomposites,wherein metallic nanoparticles are embedded within a conductive polymer *** nanocomposites are fabricated with a total thickness below 100 nm using a‘lithography-free’method at the wafer level,and they inherently exhibit three prominent optical modes,accompanying scattering phenomena that produce distinct dichroic reflection and transmission ***,a pivotal achievement is that all these colors are electrically manipulated with an applied external voltage of less than 1 V with 3.5 s of switching speed,encompassing the entire visible ***,this electrically programmable multicolor function enables the effective and dynamic modulation of the color temperature of white light across the warm-to-cool spectrum(3250 K-6250 K).This transformative capability is exceptionally valuable for enhancing the performance of outdoor optical devices that are independent of factors such as the sun’s elevation and prevailing weather conditions.

Formadinium Cation Doping Stabilized Ultra-deep-blue Lead Halide Perovskite Nanocrystal Light-emitting Diodes

The halide migration effect in mixed-halide lead-based perovskite is a serious problem hindering the development of its display *** this study,we have successfully addressed this issue by reporting formadinium(FA)doped mixed-halide perovskite nanocrystals(NCs)with ultra-deep-blue emission of 450 nm,narrow bandwidth of 16 nm,and a high photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)of 66%.The perovskite nanocrystal light-emitting diodes(NC-LEDs)using this nanocrystal as an active layer achieved a maximum external quantum efficiency(EQE)of 0.32%,30-fold improved compared to that of pristine and stable electroluminescence(EL)spectra at 450 nm under a 4.9–8.0 V *** findings demonstrate the potential of our approach in developing stable and efficient deep blue perovskite NC-LEDs.
